I was sitting in the library when I was recommended this place by a local and it does not disappoint! I LOVE sandwiches and Benny's is waaaaay better than Subway, Which Wich and Jersey Mike's and I like Jersey Mike's. They have a ton of bread selections, higher quality meats and their cookies are gooey and fantastic. They also offer sprouts on a sandwich and I can't find sprouts in the grocery store. The owner and manager are very cool and provide excellent service and care. I like that my money is supporting a local business. I have driven by Bennys for years but never given them a try. Went to Bennys a few days ago to check em out. I ordered regular or small ham and cheese on a regular hoghie roll with everything on it . It was a bit under sized for a typical 6 in sandwich about 3/4 the width of a subway sandwhich and 1/2 the width of a jersey mikes sandwich. Price was $9 and change. It was a good tasting sandwich and quality ingredients were used. Overall I think a little pricy for what I received . I would go there again if I was in the area, but not go outta my way to eat there . read more

The moment you walk in, it smells incredible. The food was delicious, the ladies behind the counter were nice. The one thing that I think could make this place better is more people going. I've always said the bread makes the sandwich, and they don't disappoint. Chewy and crusty, exactly as it should be. Meat was perfect ratio to toppings. And toppings, wow, they make some chains look foolish. Fresh, ripe, delicious. Great friendly staff, prompt service (line can get long, but worth it). Potato salad is as good as mom makes. I'm a sucker for Tuna Salad as a salad and not a sandwich and this place does it right! First of all, ALL veggies were super fresh and my lettuce was chopped fresh for the salad. The tuna part was perfect. Not too much mayo, salt or pepper. I cannot stand when there is so much mayo that the tuna is now tuna soup. This place adds just enough for the tuna to hold its shape when scooped and no more. It's perfect!! Back to the veggies, "which veggies would you like?" "All the veggies." She did in fact add all of them but here is what I appreciated, instead of making an unmanageable pile of food in a salad container, she made sure there was enough of everything and kept the pile forkable without an explosion. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Hubby tried the meatball sub. The regular comes with 4 meatballs of normal size (probably an inch to inch and a half) and soft bread. More of a pizza sauce than marinara. Good seasoning on the meatball and nice and tender. Daughter had the kid's ham and cheddar. She ate it all with no complaint. They are a little small so if your kid eats a lot, consider getting a normal size sandwich. Overall, great experience and we will be back! read more

I ordered a 9' (3-3' sandwiches) back in June for my daughter's Baby Shower. I asked for mustard/mayonnaise/onion /pepperoncinis/oil & vinegar to be offered separate from the sandwich. Each 3' section (wrapped separately on a board) had ham/cheese, Italian and turkey/provolone which I chose. LET ME TELL YOU.....the order process, the pick up and the food itself was outstanding! It came loaded and precut. Everyone at the shower was raving and asked where it had come from. The sandwich's were very securely wrapped for transport, fresh, moist and delicious. We believe in supporting small businesses, and are long time customers of Benny's, but ever since this place was sold it's just not the same. Today, we have decided to have lunch here and their bread was still in oven so we had to wait, clearly poor planning. Then my sandwich was wrong. There were 6 workers and it was total chaos no one knew what to do and there was a line of confused customers at the cashier with no one taking the lead. There was a woman who I assume was the manager walking cluelessly around with a tablet in her hand. I hope they take charge and improve their service before it's too late. read more

The food is good so I gave the one star. I usually order my food to go since I work in a hospital and I like to have a sandwich ready to go on the fly with a very hectic workload. On two separate occasions my sandwich order was wrong , which I didn't discover until later. At that point it was too late to do anything about it . I'm fairly laid-back so I didn't get too upset about it and never complained. Perhaps I should have. However on my last visit the staff behind the counter were somewhat rude and unwelcome. One employee was whispering at the other employee while making they were making my sandwich. I honestly don't know what I did wrong. I am always very polite and a nice person. Honestly the people deserve a five-star here it's just a food that I'm giving a two star This is the third time I've tried it I've lived in this valley since 1990 in this place has been here a good while I remember trying it 10 years ago and not caring for it I recently tried it about a year ago and today was just a final straw.. do not get me wrong this place is not nasty or unedible it just has zero flavor how can a sandwich that has cheddar jalapeno bread turkey lettuce salt pepper vinegar oil onions pepperoncinis mustard etc etc taste like nothing LOL then I was recommended the potato or macaroni salad and I order the macaroni salad and at the same time it had zero flavor it was actually a bit on the dry side I usually like a little bit more liquid in my macaroni salad.. the weird part is every time I go by this place it is absolutely packed and there's always people waiting and they have that look on their face like they're at Phillipes in LA lol.... I'm just not sure what all the hype is and I've gotten suckered into going back a few times and I would recommend finding a better spot it's honestly not much different than Subway as far as I'm concerned.. the staff is very friendly everybody was nice and attentive as noted it's just the biggest problem I had was the food quality was very poor.. if anybody has ever been to norco's famous 6th Street deli they really know what a good sandwich is all about :) read more
