We were southbound on Hwy 19, with the Waikola resort about 10 miles behind us and a long way from a service station when the low oil light came on. Although our trip with our guest came to an abrupt end, Bennys was the bright spot in our day. Not only did the driver tow us to our mechanic, he took us and all our things to our condo, going out of his way. If you should unfortunately have a need for a tow, call Bennys. Had a tire blow out on Daniel K Inouye Highway (Saddle Road). Tow truck driver came to help me change to the spare since the jack that come with the truck is useless. Spare need air so he filled it up. He was very courteous and helpful. He assured me I can make it off the mountain and get to the tire shop. Thanks to AAA for sending me help. read more

I have to start by saying when AAA sent them to deal with my dead Subaru Outback, things couldn't have gone better - the driver was nice, showed up quickly, and towed it to the dealership with no issues However, I have now personally left two messages on two consecutive days, asking for a call back on another issue I needed a tow for, and nothing - no response, have not heard a word I am sure they value their AAA business tremendously, but to the point that they ignore local customers is not good business read more

I would like to say, I'm fucken so greatful of this company. I'm from San Diego and I was stuck at. K.T.A. grocery store with 80° 2 dogs in the car and my cousins truck didn't start. The company came out in 20 minutes. The driver was Rydell. Omg so fast and helpful. I had to Give him a hug. He jumped the truck said it was the battery. I needed a tow because one of my tires had a complete meltdown. Called AAA, and they hooked me up with Benny's. Benny called me within 5 minutes. I asked for a flatbed truck, and it was on its way to me quicker than I expected. Del showed up driving the truck. Big guy. Nice and friendly as could be, and polite, too. The estimated wait time was about 1hour but within 7mins I received a call from Kekoa from Benny's Towing who said he would be there in 10mins! Benny's was dispatched by AAA to tow my car. I was stranded with family members (in their 80s) for several hours as they continued to push out the ETA. They then notified AAA that my car would not be picked up until the next morning. AAA pushed backed until they sent a driver. He was late and the only meaning communications from him was a call asking were the car was. . .after AAA providing an exact (and obvious) location. They lied to AAA by confirming they were dispatching a flat-bed truck but sent a wrecker instead. The driver was incredibly rude and egotistical. When I questioned the use of a wrecker on my car, he called his boss, quickly notified me that I'd have to dispatch someone else, and drove off. My worst towing experience ever on the island. read more

Came in response to our AAA call for assistance. The man "tried" to jump start vehicle two times. It was dark my husband was not paying close attention. Our car had been in an accident and we were worried this had caused it not to start. Nothing happened. Then the man employed by Benny's then offered to buy our truck. When our insurance company sent a tow truck to take it for evaluation it started immediately with one jump start. It ran fine after that. It took two weeks to get our truck . They take advantage of elderly people. Twice in one year they sold us batteries for a different car. They are not ethical! read more

I was stranded in Hilo, Hi. I called Chrysler Stalantis and they called BMS ( Benny's towing) there was a little bit of a communication gap with Stalantis Chrysler, we never got our tow truck, so I called Mr Benevides directly, he called the dealer and sent a truck with in 15 minutes. I give Benny's 5 stars and thank them very much, they are awesome. read more

AAA contracted, if AAA sends incorrect information on membership, they'll try to charge you $5 a mile for a tow. Even if a premier member. The managers and drivers have an ego, will make you sit and listen to their spiel and then deny service if you hang up while being berated... to call AAA to straighten it out. Benny's Towing service is a fraud. Yesterday, they sent a young kid to charge my battery. He tried flirting with me and I asked him to charge my battery as I am a AAA member. I then even pulled my own jumper cables out of my trunk and he drove away. These people are so corrupt, they knew I would use my allowed amount of services. I've had people on this island even try to steal my car. There are wonderful kind people on this island. I just keep running into the junkies and the criminals. Even the people running Hope Services and Care Hawaii here are corrupt. read more

Devon said their office had just closed, so he was able only to accept cash. Didn't have change, nor a receipt book. The battery didn't have any DATE STICKER on it, which is unacceptable. Said he'd be calling back, but didn't. I called AAA for their number, but couldn't get through without their help to the dispatcher. AAA doesn't have an address for them either. Drove around across from the Sparky Kawamoto Swim Stadium and didn't see any signage. AGAIN said they'd be calling back. But headed out on another couple calls in the dark. Awesome Service. K- Den was Incredibly nice and patient, very respectful, He came to our aid quickly at walmart hilo. Truck couldn't start so we had it towed to Big Island Honda hilo. When we explained that we had just Lost our Daughter in death the week before, he was soo compassionate and understanding. He spoke kindly and assured us that everything is gonna be ok. NOT PONO!!! I had a tow 2 weeks ago. Devon came on time and was very nice BUT be said only able to accept cash. They charged me $325 for a 6 mi distance, i gave him $350 but he wasn't able to give me any proof of receipt. He was telling me that his boss will email me the receipt, i gave him my email. Nothing happened still no receipt and i have called Devon and boss multiple times bagging for receipt that i need for my insurance. They keep brushing me off! NOT PONO!!! Beware of this company. Request made to jump a van on my property. Kevin hit my rock wall, left the property and then when he returned he denied hitting it. Police were called, and he eventually admitted to police he did hit the rock wall. Bennys never reached out to take accountability, and when I called them, Kenny, "guy in charge"as he identified himself, threatened that if I were to insist for them to pay for fixing my rockwall, that I would have to pay for the $11500 damage to the tow truck! Like my rock wall jumped out in front of his tow truck!? They never jumped the van btw...i would not trust them to come onto my property. read more
