Still one of the better pies in the Spokane metro. However, my opinion is emphatically based on dining in at the establishment. You will get their A-game every time. All bets are off if you do take-out or delivery. But that is true for most all restos, honestly. They are very popular. We went on a Monday night, and it was packed at 5:30. If I could rate this place zero stars I would. I'm absolutely floored at how horrible I was treated tonight. I get to Bennidito's a little before 5:30 after a long 10 hour shift at work to order dinner for my family. I sat & ate a salad while I waited for my pizza to be done. While I waited for my pizza to be done (approximately 45mins) the waitress who was nice explained they messed up my pizza that's why it's a taking a while. I said no problem. I finally get my food & drove home. When I arrived at my house 20 mins later I discovered the pizza was incorrect. I ordered pepperoni, sausage & pineapple. My pizza had mushrooms instead of sausage on it. I call them up & explain they messed up my pizza. I told her what I ordered two different times during the phone call explaining this is really upsetting and I am starving and unable to eat the pizza due to an allergy. She is very short with me & says with an attitude how can I help you! what would you like me to do? I'm thinking wow. I should have known right then & there by her response it wasn't going to end well. She clearly doesn't know how to rightfully apologize to a customer right off the bat & she appears too busy. I explained that I was really upset and that it would be nice for her to fix it. I explained I can't come back. She then tries to recap my order after I explained it twice over but can't seem to remember the third topping. I was very honest with her & said I am really frustrated as she is basically half listening to me on the phone. She gets defensive and denies that. She tried saying I just want to get your order right so what's the 3rd topping!? The truth is she is trying to play it off cause she REALLY doesn't know the last topping cause she wasn't really present in the conversation. At that point I was over the top as she wasn't helping the situation unfortunately. We got into it as she was trying to turn it on me when saying I am rude & that she is trying to help me as if she was doing me a big favor. I was so confused to what was happening here. It was only causing me to be all that more frustrated. She was extremely rude, talked down to me and said she has the right to refuse a customer & if she looses one at this point she really doesn't care. EXACT words. She said I have the right to cancel an order & that's what I am doing. if you want another pizza you will have to bring that one back & hung up on me! I tried calling back a few times and she would pick up the phone then hang up. Other times they wouldn't even pick up the phone. I'm beyond floored at not only the lack of customer service but the lack of professionalism. How can someone be that blatantly terrible to someone when they messed up there order & weren't willing to do the right thing & fix it. I have every right to say how I am feeling & be honest with her in the fact she wasn't listening to me. How can I not be frustrated? We are adults & should be able to talk. The first thing you need to do is teach your team to apologize when they are wrong. Then make it right! Very simple not try to have the power of the last word & be absolutely terrible to a customer. All I will say is you never know what a family is going through in life & being nice is not hard. Since they were ignoring my calls I decided to call the other location on Sprague & he was amazing. A good listener, kind, understanding and helpful as he insist they refund me. He called back to verify that had been done which I really appreciate. I will NEVER eat there again. Loooved this pizza! I tried the pepperoni, the fontina/sun dried tomatoes, the Maui Wowie, and the Grand Boulevard. The fontina/sun dried tomatoes had whole roasted garlic cloves on it and it was such a great combination of flavors. This is a great place to go with your family for small celebrations. It was pretty packed on a Friday evening so plan ahead! They kindly rearranged an area for us so all 7 of us could sit down. There are some good things happening here at Bennidito's! First off, get the beer buddies. Just do yourself a favor and order one of the best appetizers in South Hill. Not only are they delicious, but they are a screaming deal. I don't know if I'm able to give Bennidito's a full 5 stars and it kind of saddens me. There are a lot of great things on the menu, pricing is fair and good for what you pay for, but I'm just not blown away by the main dishes yet. I'd love to find that one pizza, the dish that makes me change this review in a heartbeat. As of right now, I'm feeling pretty solid rating this joint as a 4/5. If you love dive vibes get yourself the beer buddies and some pizza, it'll deliver on that regard. If you're hoping it'll go toe to toe in quality of pizza, unfortunately I'd say there a few places in town that can sling better pies. read more

Pros: Pizza and crust are good. Cons: The service and price I've been to the Sprauge location a couple times. Both times they've been minimally busy but still took over 30 min to prepare my to go order (2 pizzas). You can not call ahead because the phone has been turned off. It goes straight to voicemail with an outgoing message that the voicemail is full. Tonight I ordered 2 pizzas (a small cheese with pineapple and Canadian bacon and a medium Detroit Saxon plus chicken) and a soda to drink while I waited. My total was $55 which is pricey for a pizza spot in general. I tried to get the bartenders' attention for some to-go cheese packets but neither of them were paying attention enough for me to ask for some. I understand not wanting to waste much time on to-go customers but to completely ignore them is kind of rude. There was only myself and one other person at the bar. The bartenders did not ignore the other person sitting at the bar. When I got home, the small pizza was a hot mess (toppings were not spread out and the slices were cut extremely unevenly...almost like they didn't even try). They also left off the up-charged chicken from the medium pizza. Since I can't call the restaurant and am too hungry to return tonight, I am attempting to reach out to them on Facebook messenger this issue. read more

Have eaten Bennidito's for years and have generally been happy with their pizza. The service, either in the restaurant or with delivery, has often been poor. Tonight was a new low. Our order was entered online. It was delivered an hour and 15 minutes later. Once we opened the pizza we realized it wasn't what we ordered. Sure enough the label on the box had someone else's address. We called the restaurant and were asked, "what do you want us to do about it?" We asked to have the correct pizza made and delivered to us. We actually called back a second time just to be sure she had all the information correct. 2 1/2 hours after the original order was placed, we still didn't have our pizza. This review is about 8 years in the making. I used to absolutely love Bennidito's but have consistently had bad experiences there: two wrong orders, one burnt, and one severely undercooked. My calzone order is basic... nothing high maintenance. A few years ago, I called to speak to the owner. I wasn't looking for a refund or anything like that. It was more a PSA to let him know that going there had become a crapshoot of disappointment. Did he care? Not in the least. He seemed totally annoyed that I was bothering him. Thus, I took my business to Pete's Pizza almost exclusively from that day forward. It's out of the way for me but totally worth it. Anyway, last night I wound up at Bennidito's again for the first time since before Covid for a birthday gathering chosen by someone else in our group. Question: Did they screw up my order? You bet they did... OMG. It's almost comical now. I will say that the waitress was super accommodating but I did have to wait about 40 more minutes for my revised meal while everyone in my group ate theirs. Get your stuff together, Bennidito's! I shouldn't be surprised based on my years-ago conversation with the owner... but quite frankly, how do you even stay in business? Very good pizza and beer buddies. The pizzas aren't greasy at all and the beer buddies are a great appetizer.

Bennidito's has become our go-to pizza in Spokane, and we now even love their wings too. Pizza is always cooked perfectly, the crust is nice and thin but supportive with a tender outer crust, their ingredients fresh, and their sauce is in perfect harmony (not too sweet, not too tangy, etc). The large always feeds us for several meals. They only offer buffalo as the wings flavor and which they had more to choose from, but they are always tender and delicious. Their bread apps are a bit too doughy for our tastes, but the marinara and pesto dips that come with them are fantastic and they always give a lot. We have only done take-out and delivery, as we moved nearby during COVID, but have been nothing but happy with them on food and service. They have always been masked up, friendly when I pick up our order (usually chatting about life), and punctual. Delivery has been great too. Love that I can order online as well, which works great and you can get texts/emails updating you on your order progress. Had an issue only once where they ran short on wings, but they provided a complimentary side to make up for it. Looking forward to the days when we can return to dine in and try some of their beer. Until then, we'll continue to love their pizza and wings. read more

I know Bennidito's vs David's is like all classic rivalries: old, bitter, emotional, and impossible to not pick a side. Sega vs Nintendo Chipotle vs Moe's Israel vs Palestine Canon vs Nikon you get the idea And now Bennidito's vs David's. Guess what this Florida native is going to do? That's right, REFUSE to pick a side. I do think that both places offer the best pizza in Spokane. Which one you find better is a matter of taste, and...in my opinion, is like splitting hairs. Both offer pricier-than-pizza-chain-but-also-tastier pies, both have pretty solid craft beer selections (I think Bennidito's may have the edge here but I usually get take out at David's, update on this forthcoming), both have helpful staff. I personally can't give the edge to one over the other. I went to Bennidito's very recently, after several recommendations. I wouldn't call the pizza NY-style, I wouldn't call it Chicago-style, and it's not even really like the pizza I had in Italy...it's just "good", "craft", "independent" pizza. I have yet to review David's, mainly because it's been a while since I ate there. When I do, perhaps my opinion will change. For now, I'm calling it a draw. read more

Shameful and selfish. I love their pizza but will not return. In order to enter the restaurant I had to leave past tables of people enjoying pizza and beer - as they were eating they weren't wearing masks. Literally walked within inches if them. When I got inside there was an employee cleaning tables with his mask dangling from his ear - he was within 5 feet of dining customers. Also, the cashier had no mask. I'm not gonna say this is the best pizza place, but it's not the worst. Salads aren't bad, especially the Bennedito's Salad Primo. It's actually delicious, just make sure you bring or ask for a large bowl to toss it in, cause all the toppings are on the bottom. And no matter how many times you try to stir it with the tongs, you still end up with more lettuce on top. The pizzas OK. I like the large size pepperoni, though I'm not the biggest fan of their red sauce. Also, the beer buddies are OK, again, not the biggest fan of their red sauce, especially when it is cold. Red sauce should not ever be served cold. The calzones aren't bad either. Though you tend to have a lot of bread and not as many toppings inside as I would prefer. And being nitpicky, I can't stand the dollar store silverware that they use. The service is not always that great either. As I have said, in other posts, one should never have to ask for more water. Especially when the establishment is not busy. I am more inclined to return for their salads than the pizza. See for yourself. read more
