We was there yesterday with speed pas. It was really quick to go in , the new building was promising a very cool and spooky! The actual show was bad, felt shorter than last year the actors was way less, the maze in the end very easy to figure and very easy to got out, not scary at all , the 3D section didn't work because they didn't have glasses, basically it's not wort it at all ... Last year I give them 5 stars absolutely best ever! This year total disappointment, found another hunted house will be better for sure read more

I am only giving this place 1 star because there is no option to give anything lower. I spent $120 so I didn't have to wait over two hours and for what?! I'm an easy scare, and literally probably jumped once or twice. Every year we go to multiple attractions and this was hands down the worst. I expected greatness but $120 and 27.5 minutes later the one long walk of an attraction is now over. At one point, my boyfriend scared the actor -_- .I'm very upset that I had to stand on a milk crate to use the ATM because the website says nothing about cash only, I definitely would never recommend this place no matter how cheap it is! This was my 3rd time and unfortunately my last. It's in a bad location of Baltimore City. The lighting and props were poor. The crew was not friendly and in some cases unprofessional. A friend went around the corner before me and 3 of them were standing there chatting- one with his hood off. Not sure why the change in venue-But they really need to revisit their decision. The whole design and decorations are amazing. My favorite room was probably the fog one at chest height and the one with the clowns in the cage with flickering lights. I went on a rainy day so the line wasn't really long (maybe 15mins wait) but I didn't like having to be grouped with randoms. I was with one other and we grouped into 7, and honestly two of them went so far ahead we separated. The problem with the big group with randoms is that the pop ups and scares aren't as effective, I always heard the people in the front so I knew what was coming up it was almost irritating for me and then the group behind us basically ran and we became like a group of 12. It's a good haunted house but for its ranked I think it's a bit overrated. The price should be more like $25 than $35. Also the actors, they're good but I feel like they should do something more than just pop out and yell, I don't know if they were tired that time but their yells sound weak, short, and quiet. One other thing is the lack of music/sound. I worked in a haunted house in PA and just like with horror movies you need sound especially unexpected sound (which is probably why the actors yell weren't as scary--like watching a horror movie without the music/sfx). This actor that was just standing did an unexpectedly loud bang and that actually startled me vs an actor just standing there. They should also change it up some more every year with the themes so local who have already went have something to look forward to next year. Do not waste your time! I went there on Halloween night with my siblings and our niece. We got there at 7:15pm (hours were 7-10:30 approximately). We all thought the attraction was inside of the mall so we started walking around the mall and could not find it. We asked a security guy inside the mall where it was located and he told us where to go. We did not get there until 8pm. There were no signs inside the mall to direct you to the right place, which sucks!! Once we got there, there were over 1200!!!! people. We couldn't see where the line started. We walked around to see where we needed to go to stand in line. It was pointless. You have to virtually stand in line, which means scan a QR code by the general admission stand and they'll make you wait in your car. Since we had kids, we couldn't stay that long. We hung around until about 9:30 and still didn't get a text when our turn will be so we left. We received the text message at 1 AM!!!! We were not about to stand in line for 5 HOURS for a (I read some comments from people that got in) 30 minute walk through when it's suppose to be a 2 hour walk through or so. We tried calling them but they did not answer the phone, AT ALL. Today, I sent them a message on Instagram that I wanted my money back and got blocked from their page. They are unprofessional and do not care about their customers! We spent 230$ on this bullshit place and they won't refund us our money. Also, as I read from others, you have to pay 20$ extra per person to skip lines to be in the VIP line. You will still have to wait HOURS to get in. Never again!!! Do not support them. read more

Went this weekend for the first time...it was great, the creatures and sets were amazing. Too bad they don't have the atmosphere of a farm where you can hang around, but that's not their fault and is really just a bonus to add t the experience anyway. They even had a queue line that was as fun as the mazes...they give you 3D glasses and have an area filled with creatures and paintings painted in special 3D paint. And I like how they space people out, didn't feel rushed and had a little time to slow down sometimes and look at the stuff in the mazes. Plus they had some areas that were just pure dark which are always fun. A great place to visit in my opinon...I don't usually write reviews but since it's a family place and they had been having trouble finding new digs I wanted to support them, they deserve it. read more

I don't get some of these negative reviews. My husband and I went through Bennett's Curse last weekend and enjoyed having the &@#%¥ scared out of us!!! Between the actors jumping out at us and all of the gory scenes, I was constantly hiding behind my husband screaming. If you are into haunted houses, I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

This haunted house does a great job mixing scary with fun! Perfect for a group of mixed enthusiasm for being frightened. Yes, there are way scarier haunted houses (see: Statesville Haunted Prison) but the affects were fun and the makeup was pretty good and the whole thing lasted a long time without awkward breaks between scares. Any glitches or cheesy affects mentioned in prior reviews must've come from those with VERY high expectations. Needless to say, I was pleased with the experience, as was the rest of my group! I went to Bennetts curse for the first time last haunting season after dying to visit for the past 3 years, It was absolutely worth the wait!!! I've been to SO MANY haunted attractions over the past 5 years I visit one every weekend date from fri-Sunday including some weekdays starting early sept-not and this place is hands down one of the best I've been to, it calls to all the sense and it's absolutely worth the drive from jersey. Extremely reassuring props and actors which look like props, it takes a lot to scare me in haunted attractions and honestly Bennetts curse had me jumping and screaming so many times, when I least expected something to happen there it was!!! From outside it looks like it's going to be terrible but I promise the moment you walk in that building you will not be let down!!! read more

I've been to at least 50 haunted houses in the country and this is at least in the top 5. My brothers traveled from Indianapolis and thought the same. I went to Bennett's Curse on my way back home from a long weekend road trip of the top haunted houses in the country. Bennett's curse in my opinion was a tie with Haunted Overload in New Hampshire which is currently ranked the #1 Haunted House in the country. Bennett's Curse IS THAT GOOD! I went for Valentine's Day after hearing great things about it. It was a mistake. I couldn't believe this is considered by some a top haunt. It is decent in length about 20 mins but there is not much to it. It has a lot of props but of the few big animatronics it has most weren't even working a lot of actors just looked at me I had zero jump scares and the only two things I liked about the place was the clown with the flashing lights and the pumpkins were interesting. The videos on YouTube and their website are not accurate.I saw none of the things there.I had heard it had a lot of vampires. Well they had very few vampire props and maybe one Vampire Nosferatu style .So many missed opportunities. I wouldn't go back if I had free tickets and hotel accommodations.If you want a good haunt go to The Darkness or Creepyworld in St.Louis or Factory of Terror or Haunted Schoolhouse and Laboratory in Ohio. The only thing scary about Bennett's Curse is the time you will waste. read more

The disorganization was astounding ; first year or not at new location if you can't get it together before you open your doors then do a freebie. It was a total waste of time and money. This is my opinion only. 1) They are in a very bad part of Baltimore, I know, I work in Baltimore. There was no security that I could see in the parking lot - even when we came out and it was later still no security present around outside. Once the heroin addicts in the area realize what's going on - I hope they have security to watch the cars and the people. Not a good decision to move. Blobs park location was amazing - I guess that is way this was so disappointing. 2) You get in a line to wait outside of the building; once inside the disorganization was apparent. Between buying a ticket; getting herded to a photo line opportunity then not knowing what line to get in next.... Was a mess. Once they finally opened the line to get in line for the haunt it wasn't any better. In years past the line was set up to prepare you for being scared. Foreplay for lack of a better word. The old location had a haunt feeling about it. THIS ONE, please. There was a spot light coming off of the back of the ticket booth pointing directly at the line. Then there was another BRIGHT ASS light in the front of the line so the lady could read the paper tickets. There was an employee at the front of the line holding a kid, like maybe 2 or 3. Not cute, folks find babysitters so they can come out and get scared, not to look at your employees kid they brought to work with them. I wanted something to build me up before walking into the haunt, as just spend over $80 for us to get into a haunted house. 3) Then inside - just got worse. We only went through with 5 people total, so I thought great less people more scares. NO. They would jump out from around a corner and only scare the first person. And by scare I'm being nice. OMG it was just stupid. Half the rooms had no 'real' people, just props. And some of the rooms were so big that you could of done an entire line dance with a group of friends. Big and almost empty with no real people, something stuffed in a corner that you couldn't see because the lighting was horrible. 4) The 3-D part was cool - again very few real people, just props. I had issue with a few props of dead kids in trees - although by then I was just disgusted I had spent money. AND this was one of 2 times folks were out of character. There was a guy at the beginning, where you get your glasses, in a hoodie and jeans talking to one of the characters. REALLY people. 5) The blackout maze was the only saving grace of this whole thing - even though we exited a door that took us back out to the line we started in. Of course this was a mistake on their end - they need to make sure your maze is set correctly without doors you shouldn't be able to push open (you think it's a wall as you can just feel around) 6) Another room as we were about to enter I could hear them talking and it was not 'in character'. When we went through the curtain there was 3 of them standing in a corner just talking. Once they realized we were there they jumped back into character.... Really, you had one job! 7) The tunnel (that goes around and you walk through it); even that they got wrong this year. The end you walk toward was so bright that it messed with the illusion of the effect. 8) I don't think being startled a few times is worth $35 a ticket. No true scares. It was a lot of walking through nothingness and then someone screams from behind a wall. 9) I know this is a lot but damn, it was a lot of wasted money. If you decide to go keep in mind this is only my opinion. You may love it, they may have had an off night. But for $35 a ticket I don't think they are allowed an off night with refunds. read more

I went to Bennet's Curse when it was in Jessup and it was just okay then. I decided to try again after not going for a few years and it wasn't any better now that it is in Baltimore. The site says it is all new for 2019 with four attractions. However, it is still one attraction "divided" into sections I guess. The only section that is clearly marked is the first one that is in 3D that you have to wear the glasses for. The rest of the time you are just wandering through turn by turn with some areas not even clearly marked enough to prevent guests from going the wrong way and ending up outside of the haunted area. The group in front of us had to get turned around twice by the employees because they left the designated area because it wasn't clearly marked. It probably takes about 20-25 mins to get through depending on whether or not you are behind a slow group.We were debating buying the VIP pass instead of the Fast Pass but stuck with the Fast Pass instead. I'm glad we did because if we would have wasted more money unnecessarily it would have made it worse. Yes, the Fast Pass gets you in quicker but the regular line didn't seem to be moving too slowly. This is only a step above a haunted attraction one would find at a road side carnival. We chose to go this year because our weekends have been pretty busy and this was the closest one. Now I wish we would have driven a little farther and gone to a better attraction. Very disappointing. The potential is there but they don't come close to reaching it. Took my family here on Saturday. We generally do field of screams or other ones in the area but chose this one this year. What a huge mistake. Several props not working. The first 2 sections were good but you were sent in large groups so the actors would wait until the middle to scare a lot of times. The last 2 sections were horrible. The 3d section was a joke. The glasses they give you were scratched up and you couldn't see. So we had to walk through without them on. The last section was the worse. You are sent into an area with no lights and just a wall maze. There was nothing scary about it. The large group was pushing so it was hard to walk through. I paid for the VIP but there was nothing VIP about it. Not worth the money. It only took 25 minutes to walk the whole thing. Horrible, horrible. Don't waste your money go to other ones in the area. read more

Got here at 5:45 PM stood in line until 7 without and directions then to come find out bc the Website encourages you to buy ticks online you pay an extra $3.95 on top of the $36.00 and DO NOT GET A TEE SHIRT!!!! So long story short got here early to be one of the first 100 in line to get a Tshirt and paid EXTRA $ for tickets online to receive nasty customer service (girl at both inside checking tickets), no directions/instructions on what to do or where to go. I will not recommend Bennett's Curse Hauted House to NO ONE. They have their shit ass backwards. On top of it VIP PASS and Speed Pass customer go through as they arrive General Admission must stand and wait until it slows down. VERY DISSATISFIED!!!! The 3D section was awesome though!! read more

I created a Yelp account for the sole purpose of writing a review for Bennett's Curse. This is one of, if not the best haunted house I've ever seen. This weekend I went on a road trip with my brothers to see some of the best haunted houses in the country. We went to Haunted Overload, Bates Motel, Headless Horseman, and Bennett' Curse. This haunted house had incredible set designs, insane animatronic creatures, and very well acted workers. Out of the four haunted houses we went to this year, only Haunted Overload (voted #1 in the country in 2015) was on the same level. I find it incredibly hard to believe that anyone could give this place a bad score. If you're looking for an incredible haunted house, this is the place to go. read more

BENNETT'S CURSE IS NOT CLOSED ! Visited Bennett's Curse on Sep 30, 2017 at their Eastpoint Mall Location in Dundalk, Maryland. We purchased VIP Tickets to avoid waiting in line since we traveled a distance to this attraction. We were taken immediately into the attraction with our VIP tickets. Once again Bennett's Curse delivered a great haunt experience. The layout and props were excellent. The actors did a great job causing members in my group to jump several times. My friend was a first time visitor to Bennett's Curse and she said it was the best haunted attraction she has ever been to. It is very difficult to tell when you are approaching a live actor or just a prop. Live actors blending in with the props was very well done delivering a great scare. Visiting Bennett's Curse last night reminded me of my first visit to Bennett's Curse when it was at Blobs Park in Jessup. Highly recommend this attraction in 2017 for a good time. Bennett's Curse Haunted House was a lot of fun. We did a double date kinda thing with my sister and her husband. For two men that are supposed to "protect" us, it was quite enjoyable watching them get scared. My husband is not a fan of things jumping out at him but he was a good sport and took the lead. We were sent in groups which was great. It was just the 4 of us. The only problems that we encountered were that we were moving faster than the group in front of us so we could see some of the characters get back into their hiding places - no fault of the attraction - I guess my husband was just a little scared and tried to get out of there. We also had a group of teenagers behind us and since they were without Mommy and Daddy, they figured they could cuss up a storm. They caught up with us and it really made the attraction not fun for us anymore, I just wanted to get out by then. Again, no fault of the attraction - just unruly teens. The line took a little long to get through because they sent you in groups which is understandable. I would definitely return next year to check it out. We got a few scares which is what we wanted. read more
