The actors were fun though, built off my groups comments and leaned into it. Ideal if you don't want to be terrified but just a little anxious. I was just left unimpressed by the hayride and indv houses/areas. I can look past the long lines, that's the case anywhere but just a little worst here. I think all the waiting really killed the mood and excitement. I believe tickets are only Friday-Sunday so no weekday options to avoid crowds.

I'm a bigger girl, so I will say the carts can be uncomfortable especially since they will try to shove your whole party in the car if it's a small party. A scare actor had to help my friends and I clear a hill because we were sandwiched in and weighing the car down. Whoever was playing Pennywise that week--you're the best, dude. Additionally, there is an adjacent horror-themed store called 'Ghoulish Things' that I also highly recommend!

Nothing in there is scary, per se--the scares come from things and people jumping out at you, optical illusions and the like. But I love it because it has mostly stayed the same over the decades--the same music, the same coffin cars, the same tinny music, the same door covered in gum on the top floor (I hate when they clean it). The one addition I like (which isn't new anymore) is the merch they sell--I've got a fridge magnet, a keychain and a drawing of the building. The Ocean City Boardwalk is one of my favorite places on earth and the Haunted House is my favorite thing about it. May it live forever.

We went on the Sunday before Halloween and it was pretty dead which I loved honestly because me and my fiance got to enter all the attractions just us! I am unsure if they do that on a busier night but they did it this night which I really liked. They have three food trucks the food was okay, we got loaded cheese fries for 11.50 from the one truck barley had a bacon on them, but fries themselves were just frozen fries nothing amazing. However all the workers from the cross guard guy to the people working the booths were all super nice!! I would differently go back

The line got general admission was ridiculous. The line to express access was better but still pretty long. Instant access allows you to skip the line and go straight to the entrance of the haunted house. The music was too loud to hear the instructions but I guess the gist is, don't run and don't touch the actors. I loved the design and themes of most rooms. Some left a little to be desired. I do wish there were a little more actors and better system of separating the parties. There were quite a few times we were able to see ahead so we knew what was coming. My favorite times were any moment where the actors interacted with the guests, like when we were chased. After the haunted house, you're able to buy merch and take photos. Although we didn't do the escape room, I liked that there was an option to do so this adding to the whole Halloween experience. All in all, I enjoyed my time at the House of Horror. While there could be some improvements with setup, I would still recommend it for others wanting to check out a local haunted house.

We had a few very weird occurrences happen throughout the night, most notably in the attic and basement, both of which gave off insanely heavy vibes. OMG, was this ever a blast! Basically you walk through a couple rooms which are setup like a house. I don't want to give too much away because it would ruin the fun. Some of those zombies are mannequins and some are people with zombie make-up who will scare the hell out of you. There are also wall cutouts and floorboards that aren't real, so the entire thing is one wonderfully scary experience after another. I went with 4 girls and my husband. So there was a lot of screaming, but a good time was had by all. For $10, it was totally worth it.

I was able to find parking in one of the old parking lots. Rather treacherous with the old tires that had been dumped and the lack of parking lines. It was pretty much a free for all's It was well organized. We purchased our tickets online so only had to check in when we arrived. Then we got a group number. It was a short wait for about 15-20 minutes before being let it. Some of the performers were out wandering the crowd giving out some jump scares. There was a hot dog cart, bar, and ice cream truck onsite if you wanted something to eat or drink. A fun group activity that I recommend trying out if you are a Halloween fan.

I purchased the tickets ahead which was pricey but overall worth it! The tickets included admittance to the three attractions which were the haunted house, hayride and the corn maze. My fav was the corn maze, the actors did a good job with jumping out at random moments. I definetly got a good scare or two lol! What a hike it was to get here, but it was totally worth it!! Even the drive was a little scary,…read morehaha. Leech Woods is easy to pass by if you aren't paying attention, especially at night. But I was quite intrigued when I arrived! They have a haunted hayride, 30 minute woods trail, axe throwing, food, bar, a fire performer, creepy characters running around... it's a really cool place to just hang out at. You don't have to plan to do the trail or hayride if you don't want to. For places like this, I don't expect much outside of the main attraction. I believe they're done for the year now, but while Halloween is the most active and fun time to go, it's super busy, and you'll have to pace yourself with any groups ahead of you on the trail. Mind you, there wasn't a wait... but I feel like I would've been a lot more scared if I didn't have some of it spoiled by people in front of me. I will spare no details, because if you haven't been, you're in for a treat. Make sure you read up on Leech Woods before you go... it's quite the story!
