The waitstaff was extremely attentive ! Our waitress was originally from Bulgaria .. she was very hardworking, gave different utensils before we had a chance to ask for them. Fun fish and sea decor, but it's been awhile since anything was updated. It's a typical buffet ~ if you're able to eat at least two plates it might be worth it, but we knew we couldn't finish one plate and asked for the platter menu. It is a very short selection, but covers some of the basics. Our server was fantastic. She was definitely our favorite part of the experience. When we saw the young man going around to tables with the camera, we finished up and got out of there before being pressured into that. I ordered the large shrimp, not being certain what that would truly be. I was picturing maybe large cocktail shrimp, but it was a nice sized pile of tiny breaded shrimp. Not what I thought, but they were really good. My husband ordered the ribeye steak & it turned out perfectly well. All in all, it wasn't our usual selection, but the service was definitely good and the food was decent. I must mention that the people enjoying the buffet seemed to really, truly be enjoying it and getting their moneys worth. All you can eat crab legs for 36.95 if you get there before 3 and use the $7 off coupon in the visitor coupon booklets. The crab legs were fresh and delicious. They were average stuffed and pretty easy to Crack. They had other seafood favorites like fried fish, oysters, steamed muscles and shrimp along with non seafood options like rib, steak, prime rib and fried chicken. There weren't a ton of side options they had Mac and cheese, broccoli and cheese, French fries and candied yams. In addition to a small ish salad bar. You know it's bad when you leave a restaurant and the one item that you remember eating that was the best was the grilled pineapple. It was about a 183 dollars for a family of four. This was for two adults and two children under the age of 12 and gratuity. My 11-year-old son told me he couldn't eat the prime rib because it tasted like rubber and that they couldn't even make rice. The seafood was okay not high quality... The peel and eat shrimps were great... Fried scallops were like rubber balls... Steamed muscles and oysters were good... Steamed king crab legs were small and overstimed... The ribeye steak had a really good taste but it was cooked to smithereens.... The desserts were downright terrible ...The Ice cream machine was good. Also as soon as I sat down and was trying to get some king crab meat out of the shells for my young son a photographer was taking our picture which I thought was annoying. The bad: 0 drink refills the entire time we were there, crab legs were very salty and were dripping water everywhere (I was literally able to wring out the crab meat and we could open most of the shells without the cracker. Pic of some gross slimy stuff that was in a leg instead of meat and my waterlogged fingers after dealing with extremely wet crab legs), all the beef is sitting in liquid, so is well done, they brought out slices of the prime rib (also sitting in liquid) and I grabbed one before it could go overdone, but it was completely raw (Not rare, as it should be-- completely raw.), dessert was incredibly disappointing, bathrooms were so disgusting that I had to let them know. I was here many years ago and only had positive memories. So I was craving a good buffet (as opposed to Golden Corral or New China lol and this one came to mind. Boy do I wish it hadn't!!! We really like this place. They have a great variety of food. We went between lunch and dinner, so there weren't a lot of people. This can be a bad thing for a buffet as food can sit there for a while. They kept the crab legs coming a few at a time so they were freshly cooked. The crab legs were very good and we definitely had our minutes worth. The hush puppies were really good as well. Our server was excellent. She made sure we had our drinks and fresh plates and took away the used plates. My wife really liked the stuffed crabs and mushrooms as well. I really like the fruit they had. My love for crab took me out solo today. Husband wasn't feeling good. Never been here before but it was close to where we were staying and opened at 2:30 vs 4. I was glad to be seated away from the crowd since I was about to humiliate myself with my unapologetic need to get crab sick. I only tried 2 other items. The fried scallops and fried shrimp. Both were good and as normal in a seafood buffet tasted the same. The scallops were interesting though bc they were oddly big. I had to go back to make sure it was scallops lol. Crab- this is the main event. There is 1 bin of crabs and they sit in water. They were very little and I had to dig and wait for ones that could at least keep me at my table for more than 5 mins before getting up and back to the line. Everyone commented on this. I got the best picture I could of what was the best of the crab I could. The flavor was good not salty not hard to get out or dry just small. I don't normally care to see crab floating in water but it didn't change the taste for me. Maybe it helped with the smaller sized legs from drying out too fast. Overall not bad not nearly the worse and not nearly the best. Service- my server was very nice. She did her best to keep up with me by leaving lots of plates and discard bowls. She could've done better with the napkin flow and drink refills. I asked for a coke to go she said they don't do that. This is the 3rd place this year at the beach (it's only like Jan 5....that's said no to-go drink for me...is it just me?!...haha). Cooks- you can see into the kitchen slightly. Me and my best friend decided to take a quick 24-hour vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC from Norfolk, VA. Took us 5 and a half hours to drive. The food was absolutely amazing! Our server was absolutely amazing as well! Went right ahead to the seafood buffet. The Low Country Boil was my all time favorite. I don't know if it's just me but I have a thing for perfectly seasoned Corn on the cob and potatoes. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The country chopped pulled pork was great! Alaskan snow crabs are to die for! Or maybe I'm just fat A lady came around to take our picture which was nice and a good purchase for those were made afterwards. We've been to this restaurant location on numerous occasions pre and post COVID. Came in today around 2:20 PM for some crab legs for me and chicken fingers for my partner. Used a $7.00 coupon so the buffet was only $36.95. I didn't really eat much of anything other than the crab legs so I can't provide an opinion on other food items. I've had better and worse crab legs in the past, so it's fine on that front. For the amount of crab legs I ate, however, the price was very, very reasonable IMO. Re: service, the waitress was responsive in terms of clearing dirty plates, refilling drinks, providing warm drawn butter, etc. Took away a star for the unfriendly hostess and the inedible coleslaw served with my partner's chicken finger platter (we didn't complain about it though). The restaurant COVID procedures were actually okay as far as the serving line and provided gloves to use while serving yourself. But the sitting arrangements not so well; everyone was sitting next to another party with no separation. Once we were there after 45 minutes lots of people begin to arrive so the food started running out and they started making fresh food. The food was tasteful. Two stars is generous. This place costs $44 for a dinner buffet. My daughter enjoyed the crab legs and clams/mussels, but everything else was...let's just say not good. The cantaloupe was nice and ripe. That's the best I can offer as a positive review. read more

For a seafood restaurant, this is a huge disappointment. While my friends enjoyed their fried food, the broiled scallops I ordered were delivered to the table sauteed, sitting in salty water, and completely overcooked to the point that they were rubbery. I could have bounced them on the floor. The staff did take them back and new ones were delivered. They were still not broiled and though not bouncy, were still overcooked. They were all suspiciously the exact same size and had a bit of a fishy taste - shark meat perhaps? For the price (high even for the beach), one would expect that a chef would know the difference between sautéed and broiled as well as how long to cook scallops. Since one can get fried seafood just about anywhere, I suggest looking for another restaurant that really knows how to handle seafood. read more

There are many seafood buffets in Myrtle Beach. Many of them are kinda large, this one is kinda small. I prefer this place to the other ones because I only really eat certain items from these buffets anyway. I don't need ribs, prime rib, steak, chicken, or pasta from a seafood buffet although Bennett's has this. I want shrimp, fish and crablegs dammit...and I want the best quality. These crablegs were so good, I over ate. The stuffed shrimp were pretty tasty too. Service was good and attentive. I couldn't ask for more. If you are with people who don't like seafood, and need super variety, this is not your place. This place is for the seafood lover. read more

I don't hand out five stars easily. I am very particular especially about buffets and consequently, don't visit them often. But, it was 2:15 and we hadn't had lunch and we were hungry! Strapping on a feedbag didn't sound like a bad idea, especially since we're on vacation. After checking out our buffet options, we chose Bennett's. They open at 2, and we showed up with coupon in hand at 2:15 assuming this is the best time to go to get the freshest food, and we were correct. ($5 off in most coupon books given out at visitor centers and hotels. This brings the cost down to $22.99 per adult, which is not too bad considering what you get). We were greeted and seated by a friendly host who was our waiter, and he took very good care of us. After taking our order (they also have entrees - you don't have to get the buffet), he brought us the most delicious hushpuppies and our drinks and plates, and off we went. The selection was fabulous. Everything from broccoli to fried squash to yams, calabash shrimp to various types of fish, prime rib, steak and even sausage. There's a huge salad bar with various types of lettuce, toppings, cold shrimp with and without tails, crab meat and oysters. And there is a huge dessert bar if you possibly have any room left after your meal. You will be approached at your table by a young lady who will take your picture for a free postcard photo, along with other photos in frames that you can pay for if you like. We declined, and were not pressured to buy. So for $55 plus a nice tip, we had our meal for the day and were ready for a midday nap afterwards. (Don't judge - we're on vacay!) Oh, and the place was exceptionally clean, including the bathrooms. We noted before we walked in that this particular location has an "A" rating. Highly recommend! read more

Birthday dinner for hubby free a long ride home following our evacuations for Hurricane Florence. I gotta say although I was impressed they were open as few restaurants are, I am not impressed with the food tonight. Seems to be all leftovers. Dried out fish and shrimp. The steaks and roast even have the appearance of being dried out. Our waitress is lovely. We are the only patrons in here this evening. They did cook a steak to order rare for me and it was a pretty good medium rare. I understand they didn't expect many folks in tonight but don't open the doors if you are going to serve food lacking in quality. We did not get what we paid for this evening. read more
