    Mango Hime
    Cindy N.

During the summer, Benkei Hime received a ton of hype for their unique concept and cool aesthetics. I ended up giving a try through their BOGO deals on UberEats to check what the hype was about considering it was pretty popular when it first opened. Mango Hime ($7.99): Amazing appearances but wasn't my favourite. It still tasted alright but could tell it was artifical mango taste. It was okay considering it was BOGO but wouldn't get it regularly since it was a bit lacking in quality to pay a higher end price for boba. Matcha Cloud Hime ($7.99): Looked super pretty but was not worth getting and similar comments to the Mango Hime. It tasted very artifical matcha that did not go well. I wouldn't get it again. Peach YoYo Slush ($7.59): The tastiest out of the drinks I've had. The peach slush was quite refreshing and went well with the popping boba and cheese foam that was included. Definitely more worth the price compared to the other two since it was a reasonably large size and tasted good for what you pay for. Benkei Hime is a cool place to visit if you want to check out the aesthetics and store itself. However, it is a hit or miss for certain drinks. I wouldn't recommend this as a "must visit" place to go to considering it was mediocre quality at a higher end price.

The drinks are ok. For what you pay I expect more. The pearls were old, and the tea flavour was weak. The worst thing of all was their super tall cup. Half of the cup is empty on the bottom, so all you have is an unnecessarily tall and top heavy cup. I put a drink in the fridge door and when someone opened it, the drink flipped over and smashed open. Everything within a 2 meter radius was covered in fruit tea and pearls. If you check the picture, everything above below the straw wrapper is empty. No, I did not ask for these cups. It was ordered from Uber eats.

We went again on 2022-03-09 and got the Oreo Hime ($7.99) and Mochi Peach Breeze Milk Tea ($7.99). We were not impressed with the Mochi Peach Breeze. One issue is that there is no garbage bin and there are none nearby in the mall. They have free WiFi now.

The interior of this store/bubble tea place is bright and colorful, which is what caught my attention. They have tshirts inside plastic packaging, which is smart, as I assume it's to keep them protected from accidental bubble tea spills. They also have things like skateboards, hats, and phone cases. The branding is really cute and colorful. I got the Caramel and Seasalt Pearl Milk Tea with less ice and less sugar and it was perfect. They use actual tea (as opposed to just the powder mix) and the caramel flavor was balanced well. The tapioca pearls were the perfect chewiness. I also tried the Mango Hime, which is a slushie/milkshake kind of hybrid with lots of mango pieces. It was delicious and pretty sweet, even with less sugar (not a complaint). I loved the vibe here and would return to try more of their many drinks.

We were shopping around eaton center on Saturday when we stumbled upon this place. Very colorful and interesting we decided to go in and check it out. They have a merch area displayed throughout the store, racks of clothes with their brand logo on them and a colorful wall displayed of skateboards with their logos and drawings. This place does bubble tea and their drink sizes very from small to large which looks pretty big. I got their yoyo lychee slush, I don't often get a slush but I was looking for something refreshing since the mall was super stuffy and warm. I thought the drink lacked a bit in flavor, the lychee was very settled and not as pronounced as I thought it would be. They have some other picture worthy drinks but other than that I found the menu to be a bit overwhelming for me personally, price point was pretty average like other bbt places.

Been seeing this super cute and Instagrammable drinks all over my feed lately, so why not give it a try? While shopping at the Eaton Centre, we were looking for a sweet treat to brighten up our day, and Benkei Hime was just the thing we were looking for. We got the Matcha Cloud Hime ($8), the Chocolate Hazelnut Pearl Milk Tea ($6.6), and the Red Velvet Cake Milk Tea ($7.6). The drinks were super pretty and the shop itself was super cool to sit in, plus the service was great - someone even came up to ask us how our drinks were! Overall the experience was enjoyable, but there wasn't much red velvet flavour in the drink, and the tapioca was not the best, plus their prices are a bit higher than other bubble tea shops. I liked it, but one visit is probably enough for me!

Cute place for your bubble tea cravings. They have a lot of options for drinks. I got the Peach Strawberry Ice Tea and the BH Signature Pearl Milk Tea. The iced tea pretty good refreshing, can't go wrong with this on a hot day. For the milk tea, it's subpar compared to other milk teas. Would recommend to try their more unique drinks. For the store itself, it's a really cute place with lots of photo op opportunity. The place has bright lights. The seats are limited and was packed during my visit. Overall I recommend you to check it out when you're in the area.

Interesting concept of a store. It's partially upscale street-ish lifestyle goods and a bubble tea shop. The first description is pretty loose - they offer a whole host of accessories ranging from self branded shirts to surfboards, luggage, etc. I'm not sure if you can buy everything but it is noteworthy. There's a peach theme throughout and there is a huge Toronto themed mural in the store complete with peach people. I actually have tried grabbing something from here on the weekend but the line can go out into the Eaton Centre - that's how popular it is! It's also really hot in the shop with all the lights and can get to be a bit much. I had the passion fruit mango tea which had popping boba inside of it. I never actually order popping boba unless it comes with the drink but it was fun and a nice combo with the freshness of the rest of the drink. The cups that the drinks come in are really nice plastic. I want to say that it's definitely reusable as a planter or even a water cup.

During my trip; I was really exited to see that they have a benkei hime shop here in the Eaton Center. I had seen videos about the "hidden treasure cup"concept and was excited to see what I could uncover. There was a variety of different drinks that one can order and we ordered the triple crème brûlée milk tea with the "hidden treasure cup" upgrade. The store is very well lit with bright neon colors and one can also buy the merchandise available. There is also a small seating area to one side. There were not many people ordering when I placed and order so the waiting was minimal. The drink itself was topped with whipped cream and pink chocolate bits which made it very nice for photons along with the cute cup. Having finished with the drink, I finally was able to rip open the bottom part of the cup which contained the "treasure" and made to to tell myself not to get too excited because the "treasure" is random and I was going for the concept. Overall, I think this is a cute bubble tea store to visit if in the area.

Benkei hime is a new boba shop that recently opened inside Eatons Centre (beside Garage). You can't miss this store as the colours pop and it's also very bright inside. The interior is very insta-worthy, and every part of the shop makes it perfect for photos Not only do they sell boba but hyper merchandise as well. The artwork on their merchandise are all original art done by their artists in Asia. You can choose from clothing, to accessories such as phone cases, cute candles, skateboards and more. I got the Oreo Hime and Concrete Coffee which were both very satisfying. Oreo Hime is perfect for Oreo lovers and if you're looking for something sweet. Their Concrete Coffee comes in it's own glass bottle, and definitely a must try if you like coffee. You can upgrade your boba drink cups to their special treasure cups for 3.99 for a surprise inside as well!! The staff were very friendly despite how busy it was during their soft opening, and they tried to answer any questions customers had. This is one spot you definitely have to check out! For more foodie adventures, be sure to follow Ayenomz on IG ;)

Have you been to this coolest & Instaworthy Bubble Tea Shop in Toronto? Benkei Hime is the FIRST and ONLY bubble tea shop in Toronto with extensive innovative drinks, fashionable apparels and merchandise to shop. It is originated in Asia and now opened their first store in North America at the Toronto Eaton Centre. The vibrant orange colours & cool subway station concept are so eye-catching that you won't miss it from the outside. You can shop a variety of merchandise such as clothings, skateboards, iPhone cases, ramen bowl, etc. designed artists around the world. They offer over 30 drinks from dessert milk teas to fruit teas. Super cute and delicious! Perfect sweetness and refreshing at the same time. We tried: ** Strawberry Hime - It's my favourite! So delicious, just perfect to slurp while you're shopping in Eaton Centre. ** Matcha Cloud Hime - if you love matcha like I do, I highly recommend to get this! ** Passionfruit YoYo Slush with popping pearl - we really love this refreshing drinks and the popping pearl is so satisfying! You can upgrade your drink to BH's treasure cup to reveal the surprise hidden in it. BH is absolutely a unique experience that you wanna go at least once! You'll LOVE IT!! We can't wait to go back soon!!

Mr J Brown Sugar Milk Tea

Honestly, if I had to write one word to summarize my experience, it would be "overhyped". This place recently opened at the Eaton Centre and I've seen this place all over my social media feed so I wanted to give this place a try. This place also operated as a store, selling all their merchandises with their mascots. The interior is very bright and animated- a good place for Instagram pictures. There wasn't a line up when I went, but I still had to wait a good while to even place my order. The drink came out at a decent time though. By the time I left, it was actually pretty empty. The seating area itself is pretty tight (8 seats?), so definitely not the best place to sit and talk - more of a takeout vibe. I had the Mr J Brown Sugar Boba and honestly, it was one of the worst brown sugar boba I've had. They put way too much milk and not enough sugar. So basically, I was drinking overpriced milk. As well, their merchandise is really just for those who really like the brand. There was nothing really I wanted to buy from them to be honest. Not recommend. Way overhyped.

Very interesting concept. The treasure upgrade provides a gift in a hidden cup allowing customers to win a random prize that is displayed at the store itself. The matcha cloud hime with less sugar is just perfect, very creamy and delicious! Definitely worth trying and fun to test your luck! Staff are incredibly friendly and kind, will definitely be back!
