They were quick to reach out via phone and schedule a site visit to give me a (free) estimate for the work. Let me tell you, most home repair companies that I've dealt with in Charleston have been a bit of a disappointment. It's hard to get people to call you back, or get you information. Transworld was the opposite. They very quickly got a quote over to us and were very helpful and speedy when we wanted to make some changes to the original. The guys came out and did the work last week, and we're super pleased with how everything came out. Transworld will be my go-to for any electric needs, and I will be sure to recommend them to all my buds!

I understand travel expenses, cost of materials, paying the workers and making a profit for the company. They are terribly expensive. I had a piece of duct work fall off the vent under my house. I tried to duct tape it back together myself but it fell off a few days later so that's when I decided to start looking. Of the various companies I reached out to, I was mostly ignored, one no-show, no-call, got on the schedule with one other company but they had a minimum charge and the appt was a week & a half away. I told that company to put me down, but I was going to try to find someone who could come sooner. An odd Google search pulled up The 843 Handyman and I'm thankful! Jeremiah was extremely responsive, communication was an ease, no minimum charge and was able to come out a few days later. Weather delays things for him a bit but he stayed in touch, and was able to make it a few hours after the intended time. I was home all day and he kept me in the loop. He explained what he was going to do, showed me the work once done, and was professional and personable. As I mentioned, I won't go looking next time; I'll just reach out to Jeremiah and would absolutely recommend to anyone needing handyman services in a timely manner for a fair price. Two thumbs up!

We opted not to get an outdoor kitchen ( which I do love) after having one catch fire in a brand new home we had built in Texas. FYI, the fire was all due to bad installation from the outdoor kitchen people , but it scarred me emotionally enough to only have a grill I can push into the back yard in case of emergency. After being told by first responders that my house would have exploded shortly, I knew we would be ever vigilant should we do this again. Al looked over the area and where the hook up valve was located and offered us sooooo many better options than where the builder had put it. He really knew his business and we were confident that for safety and aesthetics he was exactly the man for the job. And boy was he. He removed the old hook up valve which was poorly installed to start with( yes, this is a new home) and moved it to a much better location with all new hoses, connections and everything else needed for the job. Talk about a difference. He also had every tool for the job so there was no running back and forth to the store or back to the business. That was really nice. Carson, his apprentice was also incredibly helpful and found the wire needed in the grill to hook up to the starter. We were afraid that Lowe's wouldn't get there for the delivery in time and we would have to pay for another service call, but they made it just as they were finishing! A job WELL done!! Soooo, how do you like your steak?

I asked if everything else checked out. He told us yes. He had gone upstairs and outside to the unit with his diagnostic tools. We bought the part from Lowe's. That was not the problem . Turns out it was the compressor. In my opinion ,this person did not have the experience to know the problem or to diagnose the problem correctly. Also, I was not given a receipt just told it would be charged to my credit card, 574 dollars. Also, I had to give out my cc info over the phone to the guy before he would even drive to my house. I called the company and told them what happened and I was very disappointed in their company and would not be recommending them ever. I choose this company because it is a 3 rd generation family owned AC company and has excellent reviews and recommendations .Advertising 100 percent satisfaction guarantee with each service.
