This review is a long time coming. Having moved away from Orange County and now in need of a dentist for a broken tooth, I began to look up reviews of the dentists in my new hometown and it looks like I have found a good one but it caused me to check how Dr Stevens fared. I first met Dr Stevens back in 2004 when he was at RSM Dental and immediately knew this was my dentist. Kind & considerate, meticulous & skilled in his work, he replaced my two caps with brand new veneers and whitened my smile for an upcoming family reunion. A few years later, I followed him to his practice in Aliso Viejo and then over to Alicia Dental where, just a few years ago, he crowned my two front teeth PLUS found a way to crown an incisor that was spinning sideways on me due to crowding. All the while matching the color of my own teeth! As I've shown, Dr Stevens is the kind of dentist you keep for life and wherever you reside, he's worth the commute for his excellent care. If you live in South OC, or even North SD, give Ben a shot, you won't be disappointed. UPDATE: Have moved back to OC and my Colorado-installed crown popped off on Easter Eve. No worries, with a little fixodent I was able to make it to this morning where Dr Stevens staff was able to squeeze me in first thing and get me back in business! Dr Stevens and his team are the absolute best! I've had many dentists in my life and by far is my favorite and his care is 10+. I feel like he's always looking after us like a part of his family!! Just moved to San Clemente. Was looking for a new dentist. Found them because they were literally 1 block from my new home. Thought I'd give them a try if nothing else for the convenience. Boy, was I glad I did. I loved my hygienist Susan. Dr Stevens was also very cordial and easy to talk with. I would have given them 5 stars but I took one away because I went in for a simple cleaning but they up charged me for fluoride. I never thought I'd be reviewing my Dental Office but that's just how amazing it is. Dr. Stevens is extremely nice, knows what he's doing, and does a great job of explaining the whole process if any procedure is being done. I tend to have pretty bad gums and used to not look forward to cleanings because I was always so sore afterwards but through some magic Mary Jo is always able to do an amazingly detailed cleaning and I never leave in pain like I did before coming here; and I always leave with a few more jokes to tell thanks to her. We recently moved from New York and were absolutely gauged by our first dentist. Dr. Stevens was recommended by my mother in law, who has been going to him for over 15 years. Very friendly staff. Evelyn at front desk took the time to figure out what our insurance will pay for by calling them. MJ cleaned my teeth thoroughly and gave a few tips for flossing and brushing properly (and told some corny jokes to put me at ease:) I recently had a crown put in by Dr. Stevens. I appreciated that he took the time to answer all of my questions. Additionally, during the procedure he checked in with me often ("How are you doing? Is it too painful?") as well as breaking down exactly what he was going to do and when he was going to do it. He also examined my X-rays and assured me I didn't need the thousands of dollars of work the other dentist wanted to do. I highly recommend Ben Stevens DDS and his staff.
