Dr. Behroozan is a real pro. He's a no nonsense, yet warm person who I have complete trust in. I'm not a good patient but he doesn't miss a trick. He's the reason that my cancer was discovered early and he keeps after me (and the insurance companies) to make sure that everything that should be done, is done. He has successfully fought to have a procedure denial overturned for me and it's things like that, that make you feel confident about your Doctor. Dr. Behroozan's staff is also completely professional. When I ask a staff member a question (and I ask a lot of questions) they know instantly what I'm talking about and answer in an assured and friendly manner. They are always accurate and they make dealing with medical problems, paperwork and scheduling a whole lot easier and boy is that important. read more

After all of these reviews, I was a little apprehensive about going here. But, Dr Behroozan was actually great. I called for an appointment, and was seen the next day. The waiting room had plenty of seating, and I was called in within 10 mins of filling out my paperwork. The staff was very friendly, and the Dr spent ample time with me, listening to, and addressing my concerns. I'm set up for lab work tomorrow, am getting an mri of my knee, and was referred to a gynecologist upon request. In all honesty, I ended up adoring him. He was extremely easy to communicate with. If I could give this man a negative ten stars if I could. He is good for nothing. My father is in pain. A lot of pain. This doctor simply gives him pain killers. Never tells him WHY he is in pain, simply pain killer after pain killer. He shows no interest in my fathers well-being. Just gives him a prescription and leaves. My father wants to understand WHERE his pain is coming from and WHY and this "doctor" simply disregards him. I am looking into writing to the board about this. My father is hurting and is saddened that he doesn't know who to talk to about changing doctors. Luckily I have just found him another one. Hopefully he is better then this quack. read more

If I can give anything less than a one I would. This is the absolute worst doctors office I've EVER been to. The staff is rude. The doctor is rude and doesn't even let me finishing explaining my symptoms & just cuts me off literally every sentence. I'm waiting on a referral that was supposed to be ready by Monday, it is now Wednesday & ive had to call back 3x already because the computer is down or the lady isn't there or she's on the line w someone else. It's ABSOLUTELY FUCKING RIDICULOUS. I have surgery in less than a week & NEED that referral or I have to wait another few months. If something should ever go wrong with you, this is the man to have in your corner. I want to share my experience because Dr. Behroozan was instrumental in getting me the care I needed when I went to him with a lump in my breast a year ago. Dr. Behroozan immediately lept into action, scheduling me with a mammogram and ultrasound at Hollywood Presbyterian and then reviewing my results. When Hollywood Presbyterian would not schedule my follow on biopsy because the scheduling person was "on vacation" and because they didn't think a young woman of 33 could have cancer (I actually had a nurse tell me that I needed to wait for my biopsy because no one could make an appointment until the person in charge of scheduling returned from vacation and that she (the Nurse) was sure I didn't have cancer), Dr. Behroozan personally went to the hospital and made them see me that day. As it turned out that I had high grade tumor that had already metasticized to my lymph nodes, time was of the essence in getting a diagnosis. Based on my diagnosis, which was stage II breast cancer, Dr. Behroozan counseled me on thinking through where the best place was for me to get treatment. He walked me through the human considerations, which was that this was going to be a long process and I really should consider who I would have around me to support me going through treatment. Without his counseling I might not have considered that aspect of my treatment. Ultimately I chose to stay with my parents in Nothern California as support and get treatment up there. Dr. Behroozan's counseling helped me consider all aspects of what was going to be a long treatment process and he completely supported me throughout the decision making process. Worst Doctor Ever! Mean and rude secretary! Unwilling to help. He is my mom's primary doctor and every single time i go to his office, 1- i have to wait at least 1 hour, 2- The secretary is very mean to me and my mother 3- The Doctor doesn't give any helpful advice.. 4- he is rarely in the office. 5- you have to beg to get the next appointment. I took my mother there for her stomachache, and after checking he said she is fine and go home. The day after my mom's was hospitalized for her stomachache and they realized she needs a surgery. Dr Behroozan is our family doctor for years. I'm very thankful of his professional manners and kindness. He is very knowledgeable and carrying physician. Staff very friendly and they tried they're best to help the clients. Having HMO insurance I understand that for every single referral to the specialist they need to get an authorization from the HMO I respect and wait until gets respond from the insurance company. Because of the professional staff I get my authorization on time. I think we get the best treatment from Dr B. He takes his time to explain everything about our condition. he is old school but I live that ...... I believe that old school sometimes are much better he isn't the type that turns you away with TYLEMOL AND OR ASPIRIN.... I met him via my childbirth at Presbyterian hospital and had been refereed to him to later come across many people that are presently under his care and also share the interest of his awesome care. I know the waiting can be a headache but once you are in its all about you. 8/10- times i have had actual consultation with him and that on a walk in status children with him. I have a what I like is that the place also has a little dental office in the back and they are constantly seeking new patient's so you go in for a 3 for 1 deal since it can be a drag when it comes to driving from one office to the other... Be alert the parking can be a buzz kill for sure they have a weird parking so u either in or not you have t have change ready or cc to pay on off street parking and Sunset is a BAD DEL after4 pm.... And what I love is that he is connected with LA CHILDRNS HOSPITAL so any major surgeries for your kids would be referred to that hospital which is another blessed place and has the best in a child's health situation. read more

DON'T GO HERE I went there pissing blood with a UTI, thought I had an appointment when I called but apparently didn't because was in the waiting room a long time. Then after my weight etc was checked I was in another room for a long time. Got a quick check, told what I already knew and told to pee in a cup. All up this took 2 hours and I never heard back from them. All other bad reviews are true. I went to Dr. Benjamin Behroozan office on Lincohn Blvd, Santa Monica. I was very sick and I told I need to see Doctor soon but the receptionist LIBA told me I need to wait one week to see a doctor. So i made an appointment for one week later. On that appointment date, they called me and told me the doctor won't be in the WHOLE WEEK, so I have to make another appoitnment for ONE WEEK LATER. I wad forced to go to Urgent Care because I could not wait longer. Now I went back to the doctor two weeks after the initial call, the receptionist LIBA told me their computer was not working so they can not see me and they need to reschedule me AGAIN. This is beyond ridiculous and I yelled at them and just left. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER GOING TO THIS DOCTOR OFFICE. LESS THAN PROFESSIOANL AND WORST EXPERIENCE. The doctor and receptionists are all Russian people and they are very hard to nderstand over the phone. They talk very rude to you, also. Save your money and valuable time. This Dr. was assigned to us at the hospital because the one recommended by our OB was "unavailable" (though the recommended Dr. later said he was never contacted). Dr Behroozan does not listen to you. He even yelled at my wife while she was still in the hospital and ordered the nurses to force my daughter to bottle feed (we were trying to breast feed). I feel relieved reading these reviews because I am not the only who is extremely disappointed with the lack of care given at this facility. I was in Doctor Behroozan's office last week for what I thought was the flu. He told me very quickly after looking at my throat for a few seconds that I had Bronchitis. I asked if I could step out of his office for a quick minute to put money in the meter, which was right in front of the clinic. When I returned from adding money to my meter he was gone! I didn't get to ask any questions about my condition, whether or not I was contagious. I mean I never had Bronchitis before. I am appalled by his dismissive behavior. I signed up for yelp so that I could review this guy. Holy smokes, what a joke. Dirty, rude, and totally creepy. I waited for two hours in a waiting room totally of flies and screaming kids. No soap (or even soap dispenser) in the bathroom (which has graffiti in it). When I asked for soap, the nurse was annoyed and said I could wash my hands in the staff kitchen area. When I asked to use a bathroom that had soap in it, she came back 5 minutes later with a key to the staff bathroom. Garbage on the floor of all three examination rooms that I waited in. I watched Dr. Behroozan go directly from another patient's room into mine without washing his hands. Him being a man and me being a lady, I thought (and am used to) having a female nurse in the room. Didn't happen. Dr. Behroozan was just flat out rude and totally unaware of what was going on. I had a serious stomach surgery as a kid, and when I asked if current symptoms were related to said surgery, he revealed that he had no idea what kind of surgery I was referring to. Disappointing and sad that he's allowed to be a doctor. Don't go here. It's wildly depressing. Bad office/staff/doctor. read more

This place does not even deserve a star in my opinion! I went here just yesterday, I had an appointment at 9:45 a.m. and was not seen until 11 a.m. once i step in i see an assistant and then Dr. Behroozan barges into the room, doesnt read my file, and tells me that I am over eating and he cannot help me because i have gained weight. He CLEARLY did not read my file and all we did was argue. Once he was able to give me my referral he said "here is your referral for the ob/gyn they can look at your vagina" i cursed him out on my way out. He still had the audacity to schedule me a follow up appointment when he clearly had no idea why i was there to see a doctor. I have been seeing Dr. Behroozan for over 5 years now. I was sent to him after being diagnosed with Becker's Muscular Dystrophy. I had lost my insurance and my doctors at Cedars after having to cut hour because of my decrease in mobility. I was disappointed the first time I went to the office as it wasn't as new as my previous doctor's office.But the staff was friendly and when I was seen by Dr. Behroozan he was great! Very kind and full of compassion for a person having health issues. He has always sent me to great doctors and never forgets who I am.He never rushes once he is in the room and always makes sure I am knowledgeable in what is happening with my body. Lastly, I want to add that the office is great about reminding me when it's time to come back and have another check up or may need blood work. I like that because I can easily forget how fast the time has gone!! Yes, I can agree that the office isn't great and that sometimes the wait can be long but It's because the office always leaves room for patients that need last minute appointments (which I've needed to use a couple of time, I have never been denied) and they are always packed because most likely if you are at this office you have medical or medicaid which is free health insurance for low income people. I wouldn't blame the doctor for a terrible health care system. He's in it with us! read more

I don't understand why everyone hates this place so much. Yes, sometimes the wait is long, but my visits have always been fine. Dr. Behroozan has been nothing but nice to me in the past. He's shown genuine concern for me on numerous occasions. He even took me into his office after my appointment to show me instruments from his country and videos of them being played because we got to talking about music during my visit. The female doctor in the office can be a little stern but she's generally nice, as well. The front desk staff are all pleasant and the assistant in the office is, too. It's not a super modern office and some things would probably look nicer if they were replaced, but I'm not there for the furniture so who cares? I'm honestly grateful to have access to medical care at all because so many people in the world don't. Why be so nitpicky about furniture or insist that someone is being rude instead of understanding that they might have cultural differences than you and that maybe they aren't being rude at all. Oh, and as far as appointments go, the longest I've had to wait was a week and that was for a physical (long appointment), but other than that it's always been same day or next day appointments. read more

Dr. Behroozan has been my families primary doctor for over 10 years. He is an excellent doctor with a friendly staff. Over the years there has been times when I had insurance and times when I did not. With no insurance he only charges us $55 for the office visit. Sometimes Dr. Behroozan is not there and I see Dr. Javadan and he is excellent also. I have referred many friends to Great Care Medical. Also one of his sons is a dentist and the other son is a dermatologist all in the same building. They are all excellent and caring doctors. I have read the other reviews and I really do not believe them since I have had good experiences for over 10 years. The office is not fancy and yes sometimes children do cry but there is free parking and the facility is located off of Lincoln Blvd. in Santa Monica. I am very terrified of doctors!!!! My family has had lots of serious problems cancer etc. I made an appoitment and told them coming in for a pap smear. I get there the lady acts like she doesnt even have me in the system. She tells me that I have a co pay. With my insurance I should not have a co pay. I call my insurance and tell them that my exam is free. They call the doctor and the nurse had the nerve to tell me "if we find something wrong with you then we will charge you". That is a bunch of BS. When I finally see the doctor he doesn't even know that I am here for a pap smear. he says that he has to send me to someone else. WTF????? Luckily he was nice enough to do it for me. Then he wants to check me for diabetes. I am thin young woman he exercises eats right. Why should I need to be checked for this??? I give them all five stars, it is true, the doctors all come in on different days but i love this place. My parents brought me there and we (my sister and i) have grown in their eyes for the past 15 years, the staff is although usually very busy, they always have a friendly smile on their face. The doctors are very helpful and see your progress through the end, plus two of the three doctors i have seen have a great sense of humor. read more
