I was recommended to this doctor by a friend and after my first visit, my fear of doctor office visits disappeared. Dr. In is very nice, listens well and explains everything thoroughly. He genuinely cares for my well being and never makes me feel like I'm being rushed. It's so hard to find a decent doctor but now that I have one, I don't mind getting sick. I've visited him three times in the past 2 months and each experience has been wonderful. He speaks fluent English and Korean and always with a smile. He calls to make sure you're ok if it's something severe after hours to just to check up. I don't think there are many doctors out there that really care outside of their business hours. read more

The two Korean receptionists are incredibly rude. I understand that people get really upset because of the wait. They get yelled at a lot by the older Korean patients. But they use informal language with the elders. Often ridicule them, roll their eyes and yell at them. They have NO bedside manners at all. And it's also difficult to understand their English because they're mostly Korean speaking. I sat in their office for three hours to see the doctor and was very disappointed with their service and interpersonal skills. I would say that their response to patients asking about wait time should be more polite and well informed. The average office wait time WITH AN APPOINTMENT is 30 mins to an hour. WITHOUT an appointment, you should come in before 11 am. If you do, you will most likely be seen around 12:30- 1:30p during their lunch time. They work through their lunch to see patients which is super nice of them. But just know and understand that that's what's happening when you're waiting. Also, wait outside where there are chairs and check in with them every 30 mins or so. The waiting area is usually packed and don't have comfortable seats. Plus, there are A LOT of angry patients so if you want to avoid the stress of sitting with angry Asian people, just wait outside. Lol. Personally, I wish they would book their appointments to allow for late appointments and walk ins but they're overwhelmed. It would REALLLYYYYYY help if the receptionists were KIND. KINDNESS GOES A LONGGGGG way. I think I would've given them three stars if the staff was at all kind. I mean I sat through the receptionists yelling at two elderly women saying, "I don't care how rich you are. Don't twist my words. If you don't want to wait then leave or make an appointment. You're not going to die from waiting a month to see the doctor." Wow. I mean just wow. If I were in pain and this is how the receptionist talked to me. I'd be PISSED. read more

Thanks Yelpers for helping me find Dr. In. I've been sick the past couple of weeks and started to feel worse 2 days ago, so finally decided to see a doctor. I initially searched for a general practitioner on Aetna Navigator, but the docs they recommended did not have great reviews on Yelp. So, I just did a search by location and checked the ratings and found Dr. In. He takes walk-ins from 9-11am and then 2-4pm. I made sure I was one of the first ones in the office, so arrived at 9:30am. I filled out the paperwork, waited about 15 minutes and then got to get past the reception area where they take your height/weight/blood pressure/temp. Another 15-20 minute wait and then the doctor arrived. As the other Yelpers have stated, he is a very courteous doctor and had a great bedside manner. If you do not have an appointment, I would recommend going to his office early (when they first open at 9am). After I arrived, the line of patients got much longer. so I'm not sure how long they had to wait. read more

I was recently referred to George In by a friend because I needed a doctor in LA. When I walked into the office I was amazed at how clean and nice the office was along with how friendly the entire staff is! Dr. In didn't disappoint either. He is extremely friendly and is an amazing doctor. He was able to help diagnose a couple ongoing issues I have had and I am already seeing some great results in recommended treatment. I have had a decent amount of medical issues and had my fair share of "interesting" doctors, needless to say, Dr. In is not like them. Great experience! Helpful and courteous staff that takes the time to answer all your questions. Even though they are clearly busy, and booked waaayy out, they never make you feel rushed or unimportant as a patient. Dr. In also clearly knows what he's talking about. He takes the time to explain medical conditions, symptoms, and medications, allowing you to take in all this info and be prepared for the various types of possible scenarios. He is very realistic, and bases everything on facts. His English is excellent, as is his Korean and Japanese. Yes, the wait can be a little on the long side depending on when you get there, but once you've been seen, everything else goes pretty quickly. Highly recommend! read more

5 stars for Dr. In and 1 star for the front staff girl. I came by here from good reviews and yes, Dr. In made a very good impression. He was kind, thorough and gave me exactly what I needed and was all better within 2 days. Made me feel comfortable which I think is important for a Dr's visit. The front staff, however, well...just one girl that sits out front, is not kind. My first impression of her was over the phone and she was abrasive. Really almost made me not want to make an appointment. In-person she is just as abrasive. I come in today and the same girl and no hi or welcome. Just a stare. I've only seen him once but I already like him. :) My experience didn't have a good start. I had an appointment but I was waiting for already 30+ minutes. And I had another appointment after this one. I was getting antsy and a little upset, wondering why the doctor is taking FOREVER to see me. I had to tell the front desk that I really don't have a lot of time (and YOU, the front desk, told me I'd be done by a certain time when I was making this appointment on the phone), they finally gave a quiet "heads up" to the doctor. FINALLY i saw the doctor then. Then I realized what was going on. Dr. In really takes the time to "SEE" his patients. I was in for just an annual check-up. But he took the time to ask questions and go over things. And a friendly conversation lighted the mood and made the entire experience much more pleasant. I was so used to my 5 min appointments with doctors that were always too quick to prescribe medicine. Dr. In is that family doctor that takes the time to get to know his patients. It was refreshing to say the least. But a side note: make sure you have at least an hour to check in, wait, and to see the doctor. read more

Dr. In is not only a good doctor but also kind and wonderful human being. When I called, he always answered or called back on the same day. I NEVER had to call back for a same question. My mother-in-law was diagnosed with acute leukemia through a specialist that Dr. In introduced us to. Doctor In made it possible to get us squeezed in for a same day appointment and she's being treated and doing well. Even though we don't go to Dr. In anymore since we've been transferred to an oncology hospital, he called to check if my mother-in-law was doing okay. I was really touched by his kindness. Due to my mother-in-law's insurance change, we can't go back to him anymore.... which is unfortunate because it is really hard finding a good doctor. read more

I've been looking for a primary care doctor for my parents for a while now. I needed a bilingual (Korean, English) physician with excellent communication skills and a compassionate personality. My dad's been sick (two surgeries within the same year), so I'm very picky as to who was going to be my dad's primary care doctor. (His last primary care doctor was a joke. He spent no time at all with my dad, took his money, and just prescribed medication. He didn't catch the symptoms that eventually led to my dad's collapse, and he spent several months in the hospital because of this doctor's ineptitude.) Dr. In is nothing like this doctor. He's kind and attentive and educates his patients on their conditions. Appointments have to be made way in advance, waiting time might be a little long, and he doesn't accept our insurance (we're paying out-of-pocket), but we like him enough to consider making him my dad's primary care doctor. His staff is excellent, as well. Efficient in person and over the phone. Overall, one of the better medical offices in Koreatown. I normally include a pros and cons list when writing reviews on Yelp, but it just doesn't seem like the right format for this review. read more

Dr. In's been our PCP for close to 10 years. We do miss his La Canada office, but since I work in DTLA and my wife goes K-Town often, it's not much of an issue. We've had several other doctors before him, but none compare to his expertise and kindness. He is bilingual which works great for us, because my wife speaks Korean and I speak English (& bad Korean). His staff is kind. I recommend making an appointment; but even without an appointment, my experience hasn't been too bad. read more

Situated in Koreatown, the bilingual staff (English + Spanish or Korean) is available to all patients but you will see mostly Korean patients. Either way, Dr. In and his staff are super friendly and professional. They take their time with you and really practice the "old fashion" way - by taking their time to know the person as a whole. I was originally assigned to a different PCP on my insurance and when I check the yelp reviews on my current PCP, he had non. This worried me, so I began my research and tried to look for other PCP in my area. I was lucky enough to have found Dr. In's yelp reviews. Although it was only 4 reviews, all the 4 reviews spoke highly of Dr. In. As soon as I decided I wanted go to Dr. In, I wanted to make an appointment for today. Although there was no spots open, the girl on the phone said they take walk-in from 2-4 pm. I was glad to hear this because I've been having some stomach pains the past couple of days and had had this pain before. I asked the girl on the phone if they take my insurance and she had informed me that they do but Dr. In has to be my PCP on my card. However, since he is not my primary doctor, it would not be covered. My gut feeling was telling me to switch to Dr. In, so after I had spoke with Dr. In's staff, I decided to call my insurance and have them switch my PCP to Dr. In. They told me that it will be switched and will start on June 1st. Even though my insurance doesn't kick in with Dr. In till June 1st, I still decided to go to a walk in today. When I walked into the office, I was a little nervous. I signed in the walk-in list and there was only one guy ahead of me. I did not know what to expect. Even though I had read good reviews, you just don't know till you experience it yourself. I got in around 2:30 pm. I filled out some paperwork which only took 5 mins and within 30 mins, I was called in. I was expecting to wait about an hour or more but I'll take 30 min. wait any day over an hour wait! Dr. In is really a nice and welcoming doctor. He had such a positive vibe and I felt very comfortable around him. He is always smiling which is a plus! He took his time with asking questions about my pain and symptoms as well as making small talk and jokes. I appreciate when someone is genuinely there to help you and get to know you. Even though it was one visit, I can tell he's a caring doctor and that he is happy to help. I am so glad that I switched to Dr. In because I know I am in good hands. It is very hard to find a good doctor, so I am grateful to have found him on yelp and grateful for the people who wrote a review about him. I never wrote a review on yelp before but I really wanted to write one for Dr. In because I want others to know what a great experience I had and that everyone deserves to have a GREAT doctor, and from my first experience with Dr. In, I know that he will not disappoint you! I'm so disappointed at how the all around experience with his office has been. Dr. In himself was very nice, but all I was there for was a regular check-up so I can't express an opinion on the caliber of doctor he is. The office wait was almost an hour even though I had an appointment, the visit was no longer than 20 minutes. He wrote my prescriptions and had me on my way. This is when things went downhill. I switched jobs and got a different insurance company with pharmacy mail order service. It's been since beginning of November and they still haven't received the correct prescription. 5+ requests from the pharmacy and numerous phone calls from me. How hard is it to fax a prescription? They finally send the prescription but it doesn't have any of my personal info (i.e. name, dob, etc), so the pharmacy can't legally fill it. Seriously? Dr. In is just signing blank prescriptions for the nurses/assistants? Pharmacy sends it back,requesting the corrections, but never hear back from Dr. In's office. I call again and ask to have the prescription written out so I can pick it up, they say the'll call me back when its ready... it's been 3 days. So frustrated! read more

He is extremely nice and has been very knowledgable which is really what I need since I have had numerous ailments. He really tries to get to know you personally and makes you feel more comfortable than most doctors I have seen which has been a lot.
