I was surprised by Benito Juarez; this was a very, very average Tex-Mex style dinner. Everything we tried ranged from fine to OK, if that's even a range. I had the tacos Al pastor...the pork was only OK, the tortillas were fine, and even the pineapple was nothing special. The guacamole was OK, too. I had a mezcal mule, and that was also alright. The service was spotty; our server seemed to be doing double duty as the guac-from-scratch station owner for much of the night, so whenever we needed her, it was harder to find her than I would have expected given that Benito Juarez was not crowded on the night of our visit. The chips weren't bad. The desserts were probably the best thing on the menu: we got the palichurros with ice cream and the Napoleon with Oreo. The latter was tasty but tiny; the former arrived with the dulce de leche, but no ice cream, so we had to remind the team to bring that out. The reviews for this place are fairly solid, so I wonder if the initial buzz is fading a bit. I like that this is in a somewhat quieter part of Wynwood, so parking was pretty easy and getting a rezzie was also a breeze. The bowls on the menu were a hit with one of my kids, while the "chicken popcorn" (not popcorn chicken, mind you) was such a bust that my nine-year-old ate the Oreo two-pack served with the chicken but almost none of the rest of that meal. Benito Juarez proved itself tough to categorize. There is a ton of great Mexican food in this very neighborhood, let alone Miami as a whole, so if you are looking for quality, look elsewhere. But for a spot with something for almost anyone, Benito Juarez has a massive menu that gives you that Cheesecake Factory feeling in a Mexican/Tex-Mex vein: there's got to be something you can eat here. read more

I was here recently with a large group, and it worked well for that. The space inside is nice and open, and well decorated. The AC was cranking, which was appreciated. The menu is extensive and covers all the usual Mexican dishes. It was easy for everyone to find something. Service was decent and handled a big table without issue. Drinks were good and one of the stronger parts of the experience. Our food was good to average across the board. My entree was the enchiladas, which may have been one of the weaker options. They were overloaded with cheese and heavier than I prefer. Overall, this is a solid group-friendly spot with a good atmosphere and reliable drinks. This place was awesome! I stopped by to drop off my luggage for a few hours while roaming around Miami (via Bounce). When I came back my family and I decided to have some food and drinks. The tacos were delicious and I wish I would have ordered more. I loved the decor of the restaurant and the friendly staff. I was able to practice my limited Spanish. So I'm traveling on business and had time to meet up with family. They suggested this establishment in the heart of Wynwood. The ambiance is okay nothing that says Juarez Mexico. But it's the food you come for. When i tell you everything is freshly made it's freshly made. We started off with the guacamole (delucious). Drinks were great. Entrees were superb, I had the vegetarian fajita (OMG) excelente. That's how good the food was that you want to speak in Spanish. My brother had a steak fajita and his girl a bowl not sure which one. But both agreed this place has love dishes coming out the kitchen. What a lot of establishments have been falling short (the kitchen/cooks) this place has "prepared with passion," and "crafted with heart,". Benito Juarez was just okay. It is one of those restaurants that you go to with great expectations, and it disappoints even though you wanted to like it. Ambiance wise, it is definitely nice and welcoming. It has a relaxed vibe, and it is fun. The service was attentive and very friendly. Our waitress was always available and accommodating to our requests. Thumbs up for that. The disappointing part it is actually the most important part of it all.... food! The bartender had a mix-up with the drinks, and the wrong ones were sent back to correct, which they did. I ordered a Michelada, and I have to say that it is probably the worst one I have had to date. After that, I switched to plain beer, which was not cold. The menu is "Large," and it has literally everything you can possibly have in a tex-mex menu. Enchiladas were just a triple bowl of cheese with almost no sauce... cheese overtook the whole thing. (Skip) The fajitas were okay... maybe needed a bit more seasoning and less cooking on the protein. The tacos again... just okay, and the bowl was under par, also in need of seasoning and maybe a nice sauce to complement everything. I visited Benito Juarez Mexican Restaurant in Wynwood for a birthday celebration on a Friday night, and overall, it was a good experience. The restaurant wasn't too packed, which made for a relaxed atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient--our food and drinks came out quickly, which is always a plus. The drinks were definitely a highlight. They were creative and delicious, and I'd absolutely return just for the happy hour. As for the food, it was decent, but I wasn't blown away. Food was so mediocre at best. Prices high for bad quality food. Everything tastes out of a box or can. The " Mexican rice " was horrible and dry. The only reason this is a 2 is because our frozen margaritas were decent , even though my husbands glass had much more in it than mine and they put an inedible flower for decor in the drink We are locals and decided to try this place , won't be back. There are much better places I can spend $100 for 2 people. The chips and "salsa" comes with a weird avocado dip and a weird cheese dip and of each you're served a tablespoon of dip. The salsa tastes more like bruschetta than salsa . My husband ordered fajitas and yes you guessed it , the sides were about a tablespoon each and came with tiny spoons to serve. Bathrooms were gross, and on the way to the restroom made me question eating there, full of fruit/bar flies. So I was craving Mexican food and I decided to come here. The place is very nice on the outside and the inside. It wasn't a lot of people in there so that was perfect. I ordered the piña colada and it was really good and my boyfriend ordered the passionfruit. I believe Mojito or margarita and he enjoyed it. We ordered the nachos and I thought it has cheese sauce on there, but it was very little cheese definitely could use more cheese sauce because it's a lot of chip that shit doesn't have sauce on it. The start of the show had to be the birria. It was very good very flavorful just a little salty, but it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the Birria soup. He mentioned that it comes with a side of rice because the soup is very small. We did order a side of Mexican rice and it paired well with it. Other than the soup, the portions are pretty big and you'll definitely be full leaving here. I will definitely be coming back here. My only complaint will have to be the service because we would call on our server and another person will come over. Ask what we want and then they will go to our server and tell him to have him come back to the table. I feel like if they're going to come to the table just take care of it instead of going to get our server just for him to come to the table and ask us the same thing and we have to wait even longer read more

I was really excited to try this restaurant after seeing rave reviews by various influencers on Instagram, and I was a bit underwhelmed with the food. I came on a Thursday afternoon with one of my friends, and when we arrived, the restaurant was pretty empty, so we were seated immediately. After a quick scan of the menu, I decided on the classic margarita, Birria tacos, and the table side guacamole with pork belly. The star of the show was by far the guacamole with pork belly. The portion was huge and clearly meant for several people to share. The pork belly added a great salty compliment to the freshness of the guacamole. Sadly though, that was the only thing that I enjoyed. The Birria tacos were completely flavorless and dry. And that's saying a lot considering it had to douse it in the consume to even make it edible. And the margaritas were overly sweet and extremely weak. Not worth the price whatsoever. The place is pretty nice. Other reviews said the service was bad, but we had great service. The Guacamole with chicharrones was really good. We loved it. However, that was the highlight. They don't have real tequila (only wine based) so the margaritas were disappointing. No cocktails. We ordered the picanha fajitas which were bland. My wife really didn't like the tortillas. The chips were stale and seemed like they came from a bag. The rice also seemed like it wasn't made from scratch. Food is mid. Not terrible but not great.
