Finding a good sushi restaurant in Martin County is not easy. Finding a really bad sushi place is the exact opposite. We should have known better but in our quest for good sushi we decided to give Benihana a try. This was a huge mistake . If you like KRAB ( artificially colored oversalted fake crab) and Cream Cheese on and in everything then Benihana is the place to go. The ambience is off putting, the service is slow and amateurish, and the entrance to the restaurant is dirty, messy and reminded us of a Greyhound Bus terminal...Complete with passengers. Perhaps the Hibachi is good but their sushi is not. read more

This food was terrible for the price. I spent over $50 for 1 meal. The habatichi noodles was a tiny portion with a sauteed onion..no other vegetables!! The spring rolls looked like they came from frozen food aisle at Walmart. The shrimp tempora was so bad I counldn't eat it. I am very disappointed because I have order delivery before for a larger order and it was good. Based on my experience tonight I will not be ordering from here again. read more

The food was so AWESOME! I have been to Benihana a ton of times and have never ben disappointe. Service was good i only waited 10 min for my table to be ready. Ambience is always nice and always clean. read more

Moises was our server. We had a great time celebrating my children's accomplishments at school. We even got to see some of the planes flying over the water from the Stuart Airshow. It was comfortable seating with a nice view of the water. Maria was our chef and the food was delicious! Thank you! We really enjoyed everything! read more

Probably should have left and gone somewhere else, but that's on me. From the minute we walked in (group of 4 at around 3:45 on a Saturday), we were "greeted" with an attitude and general disdain. The hostess clearly hates her job and made that our problem. When she couldn't locate our reservation, I looked around at the empty restaurant and asked if we actually even needed one, and asked if she could seat us without one. After several eye rolls and huffs, she agreed to put us at a table. Started off on the wrong foot but we were all still determined to have a good time. Our waitress was friendly and the chef engaging enough, but was sadly disappointed with how far the quality of food has fallen. Overall pretty flavorless, grey steak, pale, sad chicken... should've just heated up the blackstone, done it ourselves, and saved the (over) $400. Lesson learned ‍ read more

Stay away. Terrible service. Waited over 1.5 hours after our reservation. Totally disorganized. Will not come back.

absolutely horrendous experience we waited an hour for a table, even though we had a reservation and no apology for the wait it took about 45 minutes for the chef to come to the table and cook for us there was also no toilet paper in the bathroom. overall, this is a terrible experience at Benihana's. we will not be returning. read more

I've been to Benihana's in several different states- NY, DC, and FL and the food and quality is fairly consistent. Nothing new here- if you like hibachi style food you will like Benihana's. Service was good, prices keep getting higher and higher, ambiance is fine. You know what you're getting when you come here. That can be both a good or bad thing, depending on what you're looking for. read more

We had a 6:15 reservation for family birthday . we arrived in 2 groups but all on time. we were not seated until 7:15. First time I checked with hostess she said we would be seated next. But they continued to seat other parties. I checked with hostess again and she said we did not arrive together and the manager would decide when they wanted to seat parties and that it didn't matter that we had the reservation. I am shocked that we were treated so poorly even though the whole party was on time . read more

Okay... I don't want to say it... but the pickup food is just so overly pre-prepared. The fried rice is barely fresh tasting, lacking flavor. The rolls are good... but not great and don't seem extremely fresh/high-quality. The hibachi is good. It's a chain. I would go to the other hibachi place in Stuart. The ambience is nice, and service is hit or miss. Could be SO MUCH better for a hibachi Benihana in Sewall's Point. read more

Benihana - Stuart - Most of the food we ordered being cooked HIBACHI CHICKEN FILET MIGNON* & SCALLOPS - Sushi Bars Near Me - Stuart, Florida

Haven't been to a Benihana in a long time and with this one located waterfront, it was finally time to go. This place always has a full parking lot so we made reservations, same day, and were excited! They were extremely accommodating with a stroller giving us a seat on the end to park it. Also this location has a wheelchair ramp and elevator. Got a cab which was solid, beer which come in 22oz bottles fyi, and the lychee blossom. Eh-- too much pineapple juice which masked the other flavors but tropical. My mother in law is gluten free so she ordered off the sushi menu and was happy with her veggie and Philly rolls. The edamame was hot and salty to her liking. My husband and I got the land and sea which was filet and scallops and the emperors feast which was filet and chicken. Both came with the soup, salad, shrimp appetizer, and veggies. While the show was great, we came here for some good food and they delivered. The filet was cooked to our liking, medium rare, and tasted so juicy with the mushrooms, zucchini, and onions. Chicken was fine but wouldn't get that again and the scallops were great. Chicken fried rice was quite tasty, so much so the other people at our table ordered three servings to go! All in all excellent food and we will likely be back sooner than later, just got to remember the reservation! read more

WORST experience ever. The hostess didn't walk us to our table so we were standing in the hallway waiting and had to ask a server where to sit who then went and got a hostess to seat us. Then our waiter had zero personality and acted like he didn't want to be there. Our "chef" had no personality and the whole experience was boring and uneventful. The food was mediocre and we could have had better at a take out somewhere. When I called the restaurant after, I had to speak with 2 people before I spoke with the general manager Willis who really could care less and offered me coupons. I declined because we will never go back there. Also- you'd find a nicer, cleaner bathroom at a truck stop. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere. read more

Christmas night 2025. We arrived at the restaurant only to see multiple vehicles circling the area in hopes to find an open space in a jam packed parking lot. There were crowds of people standing outside the entrance, the front doors were wide open, showcasing the "standing room only" scene in the lobby. The hostess explained the call center overbooked the restaurant. They were 45 minutes to an hour behind . I will tell you the entire staff hustled, they're teamwork was like a 'well oiled machine" and I never heard a complaint or negative word come from their mouths!! MAJOR Kudos to the 2 hostesses, the gal running the to-go orders, Downstairs sushi bar TEAM; especially Kristen / server and Joaquin / sushi chef. The Upstairs service TEAM; especially our server Kristen and Chef Byron, and Manager . I am very grateful the majority of other customers around us were supportive and understanding of the staff's circumstances. Again.. GREAT JOB to employees of Benihana's of Stuart that worked 12/25/2025!! read more

The atmosphere was great. The food was delicious and Sharon gave the best service will come here again.

Great service by Alexa and great food as always. It's a great spot for any occasion. Can't beat the view here as well!

Placed an order online. I got some sushi and shrimp fried rice and garlic chicken wings.. lite meal. The sushi was very very fresh!! That was my favorite thing, should have just gotten two orders and been done. The fried rice was straight. The chicken wings were a different story they seem ok at first but in the end they were not good and were dry. I thought the wings were wet to my surprise their fried and dry and lacked flavor. I would visit again, decent location. FYI: After placing an order online, they tell u to text a number and someone would bring it out.. and that u have to show I'd and credit card used .. bunch of malarkey.. I texted number and no one responded. I just decided to walk in an get order from girl who was on her cellphone doing who knows. read more

Dani was fantastic. Thanks for a great experience and service. She really went above and beyond.

Our family had an outstanding time and marvelous experience celebrating my wife's birthday. Our server, Dani, was absolutely phenomenal and she well-represents Benihana's commitment to customer focus and service commitment. We have been at Benihana several times over the 20 years in Stuart and Dani is by far the best first class server. Please share our write up with her. Jim read more

Stopped in June to an empty parking lot, walked to the door and was lock at 5 PM. Saw someone inside but we were ignored, no sign on the door. As always the food was wonderful and our server Dani and chef Joey were both very pleasant, welcoming and professional.

Dinner for our party of six last night left us feeling like we might not ever go back. Upon arrival, two in our party are semi handicapped and as such, used the 2nd floor entrance that is designed for these instances. The gentleman (term used loosely) manning the upstairs seating told the two mobility challenged people that our party would need to take the elevator downstairs and wait. This was unacceptable to these two elders so we remained standing upstairs to wait. We were informed 15 minutes past our reservation time that a table was being readied. Our elderly diner said "ok great we can go sit then?" We were all shocked when the host snapped in the snarkiest tone "No you may not. The table is not clean yet." It's not his point that we took issue with but rather just his incredible rudeness in his delivery. Then we got a server - Ashley -- who quite honestly was also as rude as can be. After taking our orders and bringing our drinks, she told us to flag her over if we needed anything. After a while with our drinks empty and dirty bowls piling up, one in our party did request that she stop by. As soon as she arrived she said "obviously I'm a little busy with other customers" in such a tone that let us know that we were inconveniencing her. This after she suggested that we get her if we needed anything. After the check came, Ashley again, in her rough around the edges way, handed the credit card device to our paying party and literally barked "you need to select the tip for myself and the chef." Just amazing the nerve. On a better note -- The chef was phenomenal and the food was good. The view is lovely as always. The main reason for writing this review is how shocked we were that the host and the server were both impeccably rude. Might need a little more care and consideration of people coming in and paying a pretty sum for their meals. Especially for elderly people - Geesh! Restaurant was sticky too - handrails, etc. Not clean seeming at all. read more

He kept messing up when doing I'm tricks, and he messed up my steak because he gave it to the wrong person. The food was really fresh especially there fried rice it's awesome! The scenery was so pretty it had a beach in the back too and lots of trees the Japanese ambiance was really fitting and only made the experience better. But the bill was absolutely terrifying! We were there for a family birthday and were wedged into a table much too small for 9 people, I'm wondering if they changed up their tempanyaki tables to fit more in the limited space of the restaurant to cram more customers in. Benihana used to have only Asian chefs but no longer, although a local competitor Fujiyama does have them, and their food is so much better. Our chef last night, Beatriz, was basically phoning it in. There was no eye contact and very little of the fanfare that should be included in hibachi dining. The quality of the food has greatly gone down also, especially for the inflated prices. And even though there were several loud birthday acknowledgments by staff while we were dining, our family member got a last-minute hurried song by only two staff members. The restaurant was also dirty and not well-maintained. We have frequented Benihana many times in many locations over the years, but this was our last time. read more
