The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome while we waited for our table. The hibachi experience was just as impressive. The chef was entertaining, the food was cooked perfectly, and the entire team did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. A special shoutout to Antonio, the new General Manager, who took the time to check on guests and make everyone feel welcome. I came on a Monday for lunch and it was pretty busy around this time. I made reservations online and had to wait to be seated. They didn't have enough employees for the amount of customers they had, so me and other customers had to wait until one of the communal tables with the grill cleared. Once I sat I down I had the power lunch. This includes a Benihana salad or onion soup, hibachi vegetables and rice, choice of chicken, shrimp, or tofu for $15.95 or filet mignon or NY strip for $19.95. I went with the onion soup and my choice of protein was chicken. From start to finish the food was good. The power lunch is a very reasonable price and only 45 minutes long. Perfect for those that have to return back to work after lunch. The experience is pretty cool as the chef prepares and cooks the meal in front of you. Each person gets to pick how they want their meal cooked. The chefs put on a performance with knife tricks, face paced grilling, etc. I had not been to Benihana since I was in college, but happy to see that the food is as tasty so many years later. I've been in contact with their loyalty group for weeks now and still was not able to get my 30% discount. My Bill last night was ridiculous $170.00 for two ppl. Drinks was horrible my sister sent hers back then waited over 30 mins before they could bring her gin ( neat). Chef was ok nothing exciting , I ask for the garlic butter and never got it. I also asked for green tea after dinner. Well it wasn't steep long enough so it just was hot water. This wasn't a great experience . Food was not great and smaller portions were given. Went here with family yesterday. Got the hibachi chicken with teriyaki. I ended up getting the spicy sauce instead of the teriyaki, which was okay Chicken was made well. Going to any Benihana is hit or miss, it comes down to who your chef is. For the most part, our chef Lu was really good but the extra NY steak that I ordered to accompany my Hibachi Chateaubriand was over done, but my fillet was done perfectly. I've never been to a Benihanas before and I really enjoyed the experience! I went there after my cousins graduation and for my first time I'd definitely recommend people to try it at least once. Although the restaurant was nice, food, service, ambiance, I don't think I'd go back since when the cook is preparing the meals it gets quite smoky and you'll be coughing through it, you'll also leave smelling like food. but for the experience I'd one hundred percent say to give it a try you won't regret it! Honestly the food was good! It was expensive, but I enjoyed the food and experience. What's truly ridiculous is what is charged for the kids. They charged us $22.50 for kids hibachi chicken, $7.0" the hibachi rice, and $6.00 for a kids lemonade for my 1year old grandson. For my granddaughter (4 y.o) we paid $24.50 for kids steak, $7.00 for the side of noodles and $6.00 for a lemonade. Basically you are charged about $40 for kids plus tax and gratuity. I love Benihana's I've been going for more than 10 years! But, things need to CHANGE! It's Valentine's Day and what better to do on valentines then go to your favorite restaurant with a loved one? Me and my mom are sitting at the bar. We start to talk about how last year a roach ran right past the bar where we were sitting. I thought well since, it's only the bar and things can get tricky like it being sticky (etc) that's how bugs come. We finally go and sit out hibachi table and we order my mom realizes there is something on the grill I grab my phone go on the camera and zoom in it's a roach laying on its back fighting for it's life! The manager " Guerline" was extremely passive aggressive attempting to make me out to be a problem about a wait time like we don't have wait times at every single Benihanas From Miami to Pembroke Pines. She told my friend that the table was being cleaning but when I walked inside she told her " the table is being cleaned" I walked in 30 seconds after and she said " oh yes there's a wait" I asked her how come when she just told my friend about a table being cleaned and I JUST received a call from the store. Guerline the manager, advised me that she " oh we call sometimes to see if the number is working and I don't know what they told you the wait time was but you don't have a reservation in the wait time is 45 minutes. " like huh? Firstly, we waited 20 minutes already. Secondly, you all JUST called me, thirdly, why did you tell my friend " the table is being cleaned" I asked to get some clarity and she kept brining up the fact of no reservation as if I hadn't known that before her. That was not the issue. I asked for the manager she said that she was so I then asked her how do I spell her name she didn't proceeded to repeat her name three times and then went inside of a drawer and said that she will give me a card. As you see there the card that she provided me with says a card from another manager. She attempted to make it about me wanting a phone number. When why would I want that? Lol the fabrication doesn't even make sense.. I didn't proceeded to ask her was the general manager here on duty. She took me directly in my face and responded "no he is not here at the moment" She then responded but saying " I don't know what you're trying to do" . "I'm trying to speak with corporate " was my response. As I walked off she continued speaking raising her voice louder my footsteps receded. I advised her that I was not gonna argue with her as that's not what I was here for. She didn't respond responded back by saying or telling one of the other workers "find someone to escort them out" About two minutes later, the general manager, Max, did come out to speak with me. She advised him that I was complaining about a wait time. I showed him the video. He apologized for her actions and offered a complementary appetizer for the troubles. I used to love Benihana, but haven't been in a while because my last experience at a different location was pretty negative. I decided to give this location a try after receiving a birthday coupon email. The inside of the restaurant is nice and clean, and it's the typical hibachi multi-course experience. Our chef was very nice and funny, and told beyond just the normal jokes you always hear at hibachi meals. He made the experience great. Everything was delicious, especially the fried rice. The ginger dressing on the salad was awesome as well. Here's why I'm not giving a perfect score: -The waiter asked if we wanted chicken fried rice or veggie, making it seem like either were included. We chose chicken. Neither he nor the menu mentioned that there was a significant upcharge for chicken, so we were really surprised when the bill came. It was extremely disappointing, because the whole point of cooking was for a discounted birthday meal with my family, and it still ended up being super expensive -The prices have risen significantly from what they used to be. I understand inflation is an issue but the portion sizes were pretty small compared to other similarly-priced places-and again, we received an upcharge that we weren't informed of. Came here the other day and sat at the bar with friends. The bartender provided great service despite being busy. It was a Tuesday night so I expected it to be empty but the restaurant was packed! Ramune 10/10 - the Japanese soda was light but very flavorful. A less sugar filled alternative to our regular sodas. Delicious!! Get the grape. Chili shrimp roll - 8/10. The different textures of the fried shrimp, Kani salad, rice and seaweed surprisingly came together really well. I paired it with eel sauce and spicy mayo. We love this Benihana location. To begin, there's so much parking available. The atmosphere is so welcoming and fun. The chefs are so entertaining while preparing the meals, and employees like Sudi help so much to make it a wonderful experience. Definitely make a reservation as they will "almost" walk you in, of course depending on previous guest finishing. I've been a loyal customer since 2017 thanks to an autistic child who only eats your chicken fried rice. I have ordered weekly for over 8 years. During this time the portion container has shrunk while the price stays the same or goes up. I'd like an explanation for the most recent shrinkflation of the 4-serving containers. The Benihana's in Miramar is so disgusting with how they treat their customers. I decided to get lunch for my daughter and I today. It took over 10 mins to find a waitress to bring silverware out after we received our meal. The entire time we ate our food, the waitress was no where to be found. I had to send my daughter to go look for the waitress to get us some water. I would assume this was normal, but the promptness they had when it came to paying for the meal let me know this was intentional. They treat their black customers like second class citizens and then rush them out the door, without offering everything that comes with the meal. It's as if they antagonize us just so they can prove the stereotypes to be true. We shouldn't have to bite our tongues to keep the peace while employees are allowed to rage war on us because of their ignorance. Regardless of skin tone, bad service is never met with a good tip. So my family and I celebrated Mother's Day here. In fact, we spend many of our special occasions here. We were so disappointed today. The chicken fried rice no longer gets real eggs. They now use liquid eggs because they said the cost of eggs are too expensive but they didn't make us aware of this. Now there was 5 of us and we paid well over $200.00 and my mom only ordered an appetizer and because I don't eat much I shared a meal with my husband so there was really only 3, 5 course meals. There were 7 orders of chicken fried rice at the table and they only used one chicken breast. They skimped on the rice. The meat portions were reduced. The filet mignon was small. They didn't have the mushrooms that usually come with the vegetables. They didn't offer the ice cream that comes with the meal. If you don't frequent this restaurant you probably wouldn't notice the difference but we do go frequently. Shame on you Benihanas. This location has really gone down hill. read more

Oh wow, what a disappointment!!! I am usually a fan of Benihana restaurants, but this place was just a complete hot mess of a bad experience. This was my first visit to this location. We were seated at 7:40pm. I dined tonight, just me, at a table with 8 other people. It took 20-30 min (I wasn't fully timing yet) before our waiter showed up to take our drink order. This was after we asked 3 times if we could get service. And our waiter had also passed by us numerous times without tending to us. My best guess is nobody told him the table was assigned to him. I don't think it was his fault. When he did finally arrive, he took our complete order as he said "we have already waited long enough." He was very attentive from that point on trying to make the best of a bad situation. Our Hibachi chef finally arrived after we had been seated for 1 hour at 30 min. 9:08 pm to be exact. About an hour after our order was placed. This was after we asked our waiter a couple of times where the chef was, as well as various other servers and hostesses. Each time, everyone told us they were on their way. So needless to say we were a grumpy group. Seconds before he arrived, 2 guests had asked for their check. Sad because they were both celebrating their birthdays. They stayed to eat. We told the chef how long we had been waiting as well, so he tried to make best of a grumpy table as well. Now while all of this was happening there were also 2 waitresses fighting and yelling at each other. In the kitchen, in the server area, and while they were walking past us. We were sitting right by the kitchen door. You would think we would have had faster service with this location, but I guess not. Anyway, back to the show. The 2 waitresses continued arguing and a couple of times they had to be separated by other coworkers. I think (not positive) they were also arguing around the corner as they were starting to sing happy birthday to a table in the bar area. Arguing at a table as someone is trying to celebrate their birthday......real classy! Our waiter actually told us it's pretty common there to have 2 female servers fighting with each other (not the same 2, but always fighting going on). No clue where the manager was. Not once did he check on us, or apologize for the long wait, or compensate us in any way. Not once did he engage with the fighting employees either. And even at the end of our meal our waiter couldn't find him to cash out a couple of certificates/coupons. No wonder this restaurant is a hot mess. Culture stems from leadership. So I ordered pork gyoza dumplings, the Rocky Special, and an iced tea. The food really fell flat. Pretty bland with no seasoning or flavor. I don't expect amazing steak house flavors from a Benihana, but it's usually better than this. So my meal, iced tea, plus 20% tip and it was $72.90. Between the wait, the food quality, and the entertainment (staff fighting) it definitely wasn't worth it. I received my check at 10pm. So to recap: Seated at 7:40pm.
