1/5 $17.00 Fried Calamari, over done, and hard. Poorly executed.
Ivan H.

Going to any Benihana is hit or miss, it comes down to who your chef is. For the most part, our chef Lu was really good but the extra NY steak that I ordered to accompany my Hibachi Chateaubriand was over done, but my fillet was done perfectly. For the most part, it was fun as always, and kind of a food dinner adventure which we always enjoy when we wish to mix food with pleasure. 1/5 Fried Calamari was so over done, over fried just so unenjoyable; person on fry station should wash dishes. 5/5 Habachi Chateaubriand $48.00 was done perfectly. A dish I alwasy order whenever at Benihanas. 1/5 Added NY $13.00 Came thinly sliced and really not enjoyable at all. I always like my steaks done rare, and this was over done. Service by chef and server made our dinner really fun and enjoyabe so I could forget the bad parts. I guess next time I need to stress to the chef how I want my steak before he even starts and send back the calamri. Chef Lu was really amazing for everything and maybe we had ordered too may add ons....

I never been to another Benihana besides one in North Village. I'm glad I had a chance to visit here. From the entrance to the bar and the dinning area, it feels mix of warms but modern. The staff were friendly and the chef, Andres, was great. He was funny and spontaneous. He cooked food perfectly and it was really delicious. I wish this Benihana is closer to my house.

Chicken and shrimp family meal

Preface this review to note it was a take away order. Got family shrimp and chicken family dinner: 1 container of fried rice with some chicken and veggies sprinkled on top and a separate chicken/shrimp plate and 2 salads plus random sauces. $40 which is is reasonable price for 2. Food: fried rice 4 stars, shrimp 3.5 stars, chicken 2 stars(dry, flavorless and sad). Salad 2.5 stars. Overall 3 stars. I would consider an in store dining experience. Pick up was smooth, cashier was friendly. Parking easy and plentiful. As requested below, contacted Benihana below -- never heard back. 2 stars corporate!

Where is the shrimp? What's up with this garlic butter? Wtf

12/10/25 came for lunch because it's been awhile. Lunch specials are very close to the regular menu prices for most things. We first walked in and there was a nice cockroach waiting for us. Service was slow. Food was mediocre at best. $150 for lunch. Got to spend time with family so that was great but come on Benihana do better!

Food is very tasty, the sake is good, the bar scene is nice with neon lights under the table top. The bar staff could be a little more attentive and smile. Otherwise, pretty good.

Our food and server, Anthony was amazing! Anthony is a very sweet and kind young man.. He made us feel welcome from our first step in the door! Greeted us with a smile and made sure that our service was excellent!! The cook was amazing and funny as well.. Food was fresh and delicious! Thank you for a great experience and dinner!

I've never been to a Benihanas before and I really enjoyed the experience! I went there after my cousins graduation and for my first time I'd definitely recommend people to try it at least once. Although the restaurant was nice, food, service, ambiance, I don't think I'd go back since when the cook is preparing the meals it gets quite smoky and you'll be coughing through it, you'll also leave smelling like food. but for the experience I'd one hundred percent say to give it a try you won't regret it! Service: [5/5] Our server Patrick was great at explaining the menu to me and the others who have never dined here before. He was funny and extremely helpful and had extremely great recommendations which I ended up getting shoutout to him! Then our cook Victor was extremely talented when it came to the food, he was doing hat tricks, flame tricks, and even making shapes with our food. He was also really funny as he was cracking jokes with the tables while also doing these tricks at the same time! These two really made my first experience worthwhile! Also the staff sang a congratulations song to my cousin for graduting and gave her a complimentary dessert! It was really nice of them to do! Overall the service was fantastic! Food: [5/5] The food was so delicious! I forgot what the actual name of my meal was called but it had shrimp, lobster, and scallops mixed with a spicy sauce. I also had a spicy fried rice which was delicious. The meal was fantastic and was packed with flavor I would recommend this meal. Prior to this everyone was given a salad with garlic dressing with something in it I forgot what it was but the salad was fantastic it was my first time having a garlic dressing. Ambiance: [5/5] There are a lot of booths for parties of 5+ people, There are also tables for bigger parties. There's also a bar, and tables for just two people if you're not going as a group so they're flexible when it comes to seating. The restaurant is beautiful and extremely spacious! TLDR: Overall I'd say go for the experience at least once to cross it off your bucket list. I had a fun time and i'm sure others would too if they haven't gone yet! Great food, fantastic staff, and a fantastic atmosphere!

This guy was fun and entertaining! Food was delicious.

Food was great! Service by cook was spectacular, ambience was average. Could improve on price. Very pricey so be aware! We went for lunch and had no idea until the bill came! Was shocked lunch cost so much! Watch out and ask for prices "prior" to ordering if you need to watch your spending.

Very welcoming atmosphere service staff very friendly and on point. We celebrated my wife's birthday and here love for Japanese food. Show was definitely a plus. This is the classic Benihana experience we were looking for. I know this place been here for years but would love to see them updated the restaurant.

I had a great experience at this Benihana. I planned to do a quick lunch with no frills but Jayleen convinced me to enjoy the experience and sit at the hibachi table. She was super pleasant and welcoming. My server was Sue; she was bubbly and energetic. I ordered the Hibachi Chicken lunch special and a Summer Passion Margarita. Saha was the chef who prepared the meal. He was very entertaining. He did an amazing job making my chicken; it was sooooo good. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

This place is fire! I come here every year to have birthday dinner in Thursday with my besties! We always love our food and a chef! It was Q as the chef! ‍ she gave us delicious food and shrimp rolls for yummy and mojito was nice in thw budha cup! I will be back next year!

I used to love Benihana, but haven't been in a while because my last experience at a different location was pretty negative. I decided to give this location a try after receiving a birthday coupon email. The inside of the restaurant is nice and clean, and it's the typical hibachi multi-course experience. Our chef was very nice and funny, and told beyond just the normal jokes you always hear at hibachi meals. He made the experience great. Everything was delicious, especially the fried rice. The ginger dressing on the salad was awesome as well. Here's why I'm not giving a perfect score: -The waiter asked if we wanted chicken fried rice or veggie, making it seem like either were included. We chose chicken. Neither he nor the menu mentioned that there was a significant upcharge for chicken, so we were really surprised when the bill came. It was extremely disappointing, because the whole point of cooking was for a discounted birthday meal with my family, and it still ended up being super expensive -The prices have risen significantly from what they used to be. I understand inflation is an issue but the portion sizes were pretty small compared to other similarly-priced places-and again, we received an upcharge that we weren't informed of. In this economy and at this time of year that's really hard. Overall, the experience and food were good, but it's really hard to get over the pricing aspect.

Benihana - Miramar Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Benihana - Miramar

Is the restaurant open for indoor eating?

Yes, the last time I picked up an order, the dinning room staff availed themselves for patrons to eat at the grills only.

Teppanyaki on Norwegian Escape was one of the best Japanese steakhouses I have experienced, with…read moresome novel tricks displayed by the grill master and including the biggest shrimp I have been served to date on a teppanyaki grill. All aspects of the meal and courses served were very professionally handled, prepared, and presented, from ordering drinks to receiving dessert. The dining room itself is composed of 8 grills that each seat 12, so 96 diners can be served simultaneously, in set seatings. Grill masters wear colorful red hats which at first glance I mistook for Santa caps. Our grill master, like the one at an adjacent grill, was very amiable and animated, and seemed to truly enjoy his job. We began with edamame and hot and thirst-quenching Miso Soup with dashi, tofu, and wakame, quickly followed by a Seaweed Salad with tasty Ginger Dressing. Then a huge portion of Garlic Fried Rice was prepared for 11 diners (only Diane opted for Steamed Rice, which accommodation was graciously granted). To the expressed amusement of all who saw it, my party observed a neighboring grill master attempt to flick an egg into his hat with a metal spatula but loft it too high, so it got stuck instead in the metal hooded vent directly overhead. This was like deja vu for me, because I observed the same result with a different grill master while cruising on the Norwegian Epic 6 years earlier--except with a grilled shrimp instead of an egg. Both grillers reacted to the misadventures good-naturedly, After another unbroken egg was capably propelled by a metal spatula into the top of our grill master's hat, and another uncooked egg was repeatedly hit up into the air like a loose paddle ball until it was speared on the edge of the spatula to crack the egg and drip its contents onto the grill below, a plastic chicken with moving hot feet suddenly appeared on the grill while at least six more eggs were cracked near it. Next, after the fried eggs were fully cooked, they were rolled together to take on the shape of an open-mouthed cobra that was poised to strike with the help of a fork deftly operated by the grill master. Then White Onion, squash, zucchini, and carrots were cooked and chopped on the grill just before proteins including raw Filet Mignon, Jumbo Shrimp, chicken breast, and large scallops were eased onto the hot grill for grilling. The hunks of medium-rare Filet I ordered were buttery and delicious, as were the shrimp, veggies, and Garlic Fried Rice. Separately poured sauces for the meat and seafood enhanced the enjoyment of the meal, as did two extra portions of Garlic Fried Rice that I was given. Diane's request for Teriyaki Sauce was cheerfully granted, and I was also supplied with two cups of hot Green Tea. Dessert was a choice of Green Tea Cake or Fresh Fruit Sashimi. I sampled the former, and found it to be a bit dry; but was greatly pleased with the latter, which included well-trimmed pieces of cantaloupe, honeydew melon, pineapple, watermelon, strawberries, and kiwi served with Coconut & Mango Dipping Sauces. Best of all, the per diner charge for the specialty dining meal just described was only $30.00 plus gratuity, a great deal by any measure!
