Ordered food for delivery and the service was fast, which was great. The f samosas were a little dry for my particular taste, but they had good spice in them which I loved. I would not have the samosas again, though I would be open to trying some of their other dishes to see how they compare. read more

Prices are decent and the staff is nice. Ample parking at this location. The good thing is that they offer some small tasting before ordering catering. However on the day of pickup, the mutter paneer subji we ordered for catering ended up being very bland and the peas had not been properly cooked. I am a regular customer ( Scarborough location ) and buy catered food . I was surprised ,having not as good as it use to be experience .I bought food for 20 people on Jan., 27 , 2024 ( where as I had only 14 guests showed ) . While serving the food , quantity was not enough as not every guest ate every item . I am surprised that how come food delivered for 20 people was not enough for 14 people . Something was not right .Thought to share my experience as I am thinking now that should I visit Bengali Sweets next time or find another place. Truly 3.5 stars. Great flavour, fresh food and love the dessert. This plaza is packed with so much variety forcing everyone to compete not only in price but offering us/ spoiling us with some very nice food selections. There is a few tables but really catered for office lunch and not a family meal. There is a washroom (albeit) unmarked. The order counter is quick and efficient in taking your order and preparing it in record time. Nice place for a quick (little messy) bite... be prepared to use your hands and tuck in as the only silverware is a spoon to use. read more

Bengali Sweets is a small Indian vegetarian take out restaurant specialising in sweets and simple vegetarian fare. Normally when I hear the word "vegetarian" I run away from it like the plague as I'm a full blooded meat eater, but when it comes to Indian I'm totally down for it! They have hot tables where you can order some really good thali plates as well as chaat platters but for me the main draw are the sweets. The Bengal region of India is known for having the best sweets and the ones here are fantastic! The jalebis, ragulla, gulab jamon, rasmalai etc... are all really good here. Sweet, fresh and delicious! Yes you will need to get your insulin ready as you will go into diabetic shock, but hey that is why they call them "sweets" not "bitters" right??? Haha!! I don't recommend buying food or sweets from this place. I ordered a Thali a couple of weeks ago and as i was eating the food, felt something sharp in my mouth. It was a staple pin. I am so grateful that i felt it on time and didn't swallow it. Such a negligence on the part of the restaurant. read more

This place is an awesome Thaali place. We come here just to have Thaali and samosas. If you're coming here looking for North Indian food like chaat and pani puri then you're in the wrong place. It's really plain and not that flavourful. The line is always long but worthwhile. The place is small but the smell just lures you into the place. Absolute fav!!! read more

I come here for samosa chaat and chaat papri and it's Pretty good. It can get pretty busy here. The papri chaat is good. It's sweet, sour, tangy and spicy, just what chaats supposed to be like! They pack containers so you can take it home to eat. Be sure to ask for the 'chip' portion separately so it doesn't get soggy. The Chana Bhatura is okay, but I have had better! It's vegetarian only. I haven't tried any of the other curries but they look pretty good! The sweets seem to be popular as do the samosas. read more

First time coming here and was very happy with the service provided. We ordered samosas and several boxes of mithai (sweets). The samosas were fresh and not refried like you may get from other places. I personally would have liked the filing to have a little more spice but still tasted very good! They also give you small containers of chutney which you must have when eating samosas. They offer several different options of mithai (sweets) you can choose from. Also very fresh and yummy tasting. Used to be regularly visiting this shop for Rasgulla ( Big ) and the Dahi Bhalla, but I was very disappointed about the quality of Rasgullas we had today. Sweets are brittle and broken. I think instead of Milk Protein which is the only major ingredient , they had mixed semolina. We found tiny bugs inside. The sugary syrup tasted very light and horrible. And on top of that they have increased the price by 25%. Taste of the Dahi Bhalla is also different now, they didn't have the strong taste as before. read more

Absolutely a disappointing experience, I went to this place on a friend's recommendation, and ordered a lot of food for a party! And to my surprise, half the food was spoilt and rotten!! I cannot describe my emotions and embarrassment that I faced in front of my friends and family!! This place is not properly inspected and they sell rotten food to people day in and out. They " THEY NEED TO BE SUED" when I went back the next day after a great deal of explanation and terrible costumer service Recieved, they agreed to refund a fraction of my amount. This is place best if you're punjabi food lover. Their food literally tatses like homemade food and really delicious. The only thing I do not like about Bengali Sweets is they do not sell anything non-vegetarian and I love non-vegetarian food too. It's a small restaurant so sitting is not that good and it's little conjusted too. But food price is really cheap and they give quite good amount for that price. read more

This is a review for the location in Scarborough. A small little restaurant. Pretty good food and its fresh & hot. You order your food at the counter and its given to you from across the counter when ready. You take it to your table, eat it and pay at the cashier when done. The arrangement is very simple. Hi I order 200 samosa"s to give to school. I ordered it on Friday November 1/2019 and told the person that was working there I will come to pick them up on Wednesday Nov6/2019 at 4:30pm . I told her to have it ready at 4:30 but as I got there they just started to fry the samosa"s and I got late for delivering to school. Half the kids were gone home. I got there before 4:30 but i got my order ready by 4:50:. I feel so bad and upset about delivering the order late. I was donating the samosa"s to school but half of the kids were gone home. The girl that was working there her name was Raman she said she was a manager there. She apologized for being late but she try to compensate me with $2.00 of samosa"s which was not enough for me and even that I give her back. I was very upset from her I hope they serve their customers on time when they give them order. Wish manager was there to speak. She kept saying just wait 2 minutes .
