Chicken panini with vegetables, cheddar, and pesto. Perfectly delicious.
    Kathy C.

I stopped in here for the first time tonight, a Saturday, around 6:30pm, and I have to agree with most other comments...the service needs to be improved. When you walk in, no one greets you and you're just kinda left to figure out what to do. Should I pick a table and hope they see us? Do we have to go up and order at the bar? Are we supposed to wait at the door? Who knows? We decided to take our chances and chose a table and sat down. We grabbed our own menus from a nearby table and waited. And waited. After a while my boyfriend went up to the bar and ordered there. It didn't take too long to get his beer, but my panini took a bit of time. I must admit, however, it was worth the wait. I ordered the chicken panini with vegetables, cheddar and pesto. My first bite it felt like it melted in my mouth. Absolutely delicious. The ingredients were blended together perfectly and the bread was soft and fresh. Yum. I don't particular like that it comes with chips and olives and no other choice...I wish I could get a little salad or something instead since I don't like olives and chips aren't my favortes thing to eat. Although the chips were good quality and served warm which was nice. All-in-all, I will likely be returning since my boyfriend loves the beer and it's within walking distance to our place. The panini I'd rate a 5 and the service a 1, hence my overall rating of 3.

Came here on day two of it opening - they're still building the terrace out the front, and they only have one beer on tap (because all beer sold must be brewed IN Verdun, due to the antiquated laws in this neighbourhood). The venue itself is amazing. The interior is tastefully done, with lots of wood, plenty of tables and seats, and hiiiiiiiiiigh ceilings. While the inside is great, the outside is better. The terrace out the back is large, and has lots of seats. There's a bunch of couches and tables down the side (which looks like they'll be enclosed in Winter), and the main section is a nice mix of sun and shade. The installed benches are great for fitting plenty of people in comfortably. This is going to be one of the best terraces in Montreal. The only beer they had was a blonde, and it was a good one - I expect more good beers to be available soon, given the quality you can get from Benelux's other Montreal venue (on Sherbrooke). This place was a easy 4 stars - even with only one beer on tap - but being the only real pub/bar in Verdun gets them a bonus star!

One of my long time favourite brew pubs. Great large rotating selection of beers, friendly atmosphere, interesting cask-aged beers available on occasion. Also solid simple pub grub menu. Great for afternoon terrace pints.

Today's beer list. All beer is made on site.

I am so happy to have a place like this near home. Their beer is great and so are their sandwiches.

Not only did they have both but they were some of the best I have had. The 20 - Somnia Extererri Mango smoothy sour was so rich sweet and sour that it reminded me of a tropical cocktail but I would rather this one. No notes. The 6 - Above the Nuage hazy IPA and the 10 - Commutatio hazy IPA were both super hazy and fruity that you couldnt see even through the sample. It was complex and bright. Just what I look for in hazies. The seating was amazing too. Plenty of varied seating from long couches that could hold big groups, to picnic benches, and even a few single seating on the side. Even with the heat, the trees blocked out most of the sun so it was always a good tempurature without needing unbrellas The line would go from a few people to out the door quickly but they went through them pretty fast. When there arent many people (and depending on the bartender) they give samples which was how we got to find some of these great ones, but when its long they tend to shy away from samples so wait for it to calm down if you want some. I hope I can come back to Montreal again some time to come back to this one. I will miss it and recomend it to anyone visiting.

It's a huge space but good luck finding a table if you're a big group, it's like musical chairs but way more stressful. If you wanna visit I highly recommend off peak hours as it's generally more relax and you will actually enjoy getting drinks with your friends. But the downside of that is they stop serving food around 9:30pm but they do allow outside food which is a big plus in my opinion. I ordered the st-henri pizza and even though it took 40 minutes to get, it wasn't bad. I do think the state of the pizza's vary quite a lot though, some of my friends pizzas were just burnt. So the inconsistency there is a bit annoying but again, since you can bring in outside food, might as well just bring something you will wanna eat. Staff is great, friendly and helpful. Not at all a bad place to go but really depends when you go. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit but when you're in the area, it's the place to be.

Working in Montreal for the week and while hunting around for dinner I did my usual Yelp'ing! I…read morediscovered Pub BreWskey near my hotel so I decided to check it out! Here's how it went... Atmosphere/Appearance: The entrance is kinda off the beaten path and the restaurant is located under what looks like some sort of laboratory. Once down the stairs you're greeted by what feels like an underground speakeasy vibes! There's exposed copper ventilation pipes, exposed warm lightbulbs, raw concrete, wood and quite a few places to sit. I sat at the bar on the metal chairs like all pros do! But off to the side is a set of stairs which leads down to the ACTUAL BREWERY where all of the beer is made! I loved that there were windows in which you could look out of to see the giant vats. Really cool. Service: Dany at the bar took excellent care of me and there was nothing more I could've asked of him. He was attentive, fun and made sure I enjoyed my time there. Food/Drinks: First up I started with their Brew Juice, a beer made right in-house. It was their "beer smoothie". It was sweet, filling, thick, sour and crazy flavorful! Tasted nothing like a beer at all. My first appetizer was the Bacon Jerky which is thick-cut bacon in a beer maple glaze, chili seasonings, sesame seeds and green onions. It was mildly sweet, salty, savory, thick, tender and really, really good and not what I was expecting given the name. My 2nd beer was the Double Goose. This one was deliciously sour, gentle, not too sweet at all or harsh. For my entree I went with their special that was written in chalk on the board! I was the Sandwich of Duck & Lamb. The salad on the side was GREAT! Good bitter greens with rich, robust dressing. The chips the sandwich also came with were seasoned well and had an excellent spicy mayo dipping sauce. Sandwich was GREAT as well! Bread was softer than expected. Rich, buttery flavor. The 2 meats were light and worked well together. The sandwich is called "Sandwich Au Lapin De Cannard", but "lapin" translates to rabbit. Warm, cheesy, comforting, filling. Lil' cajun flavor. Caught a bone or 2 while eating it. It happens. Value: It's a brewery that actually serves food and that's always a plus! All prices are in $CAD. My first 12 oz. beer was $8.75. My 2nd one was $9.00. The bacon jerky was $10.00 and the sandwich with salad and chips was $26.00. Extremely reasonable if you ask me. In conclusion, I really enjoyed my time here at Pub BreWskey and I would surely pay this place another visit. Beers rotate all the time so what I had may not even be around by the time you visit. Same goes for the specials on the chalkboard! Thank you for reading and supporting local businesses.
