Jennifer was awesome! She was very friendly and was totally interested in chatting but didn't get distracted. She was very methodical about doing my hair which I totally appreciate. But aside from the experience in the salon, I usually deal with realizing that I hate my hair a few days after leaving the salon. But not this time! It's been a few days and I still love the color, it fits my skin tone perfectly. And the style. Jennifer styled my hair in the salon the way that I could easily do at home, which made it easier to see how it all came together and why I still love it today. Most importantly Jennifer listened to me when I told her about how my hair usually behaves and what colors usually suit me. Nothing worse than when a stylist ignores you and does their own thing with YOUR hair. I'll definitely be going back in and highly recommend Jennifer!

So I went to Trade Secret last week to find a comparable product. Trade Secret is great for salon-grade hair care shopping and the prices are typically competitive. The help is actually helpful, but they don't always listen to exactly what you are saying. I did find another humectant pomade by L'Anza, at $11 for 6 oz, but it doesn't work anything like the Aveda brilliant. Good thing they have that 30-day return policy. Oy.

Dr. Carlin insulted me by saying "hundreds of thousands" have used Invisalign and you seem to be the only one who has pain.". Perhaps he should read a few peer reviewed studies. I wanted to leave then but Dr. Carlin and his assistant blocked me in until I forced my way around them. Dr. Carlin said they would only charge me a lab fee, but he kept my $1600!
