There were two people ahead of me and two people behind me. Although there were multiple associates on the floor and maybe four other customers in the aisles they only had one girl running registers. Once I got to the register the sales associate was very helpful. Sent me to the floor to get an exchange. Couldnt find the item or the location it might be in so I tracked down an associate and he nicely found it for me. Back to the line. Waited my turn and had it exchanged. All in all, it was fairly easy to return. I browsed the floor afterwards and noticed they don't really carry any of the brands for cosmetics that I use, but they did have a large selection of NARS AND Tarte. But I used Jones Road and Ilia so that was of no help. I couldnt find the Amika hair products I use, so there was no addition purchases for this girl!

I suggest you do! I didn't select this Columbus area Benefit Brow Bar for any reason other than it is closest to my house and I don't love Ulta (a different review for a different time). This one is located at the Benefit Cosmetics counter in Macy's. I did a walk in and was told to come back in an hour. They were having an event and asked if I wanted them to do a mini makeover. I said "No Thanks" and went and shopped. I came back a little less than an hour later, was told to wait 15 more minutes, and when I came back, the brow artist was just finishing up a client. The longish wait explains my docking 1 star...luckily there's lots to do in Easton to entertain yourself. My brow artist, at least that is what I'm calling the person who makes art out of eyebrows, was Hillary, who apologized for the long wait and had me sit on a regular bar stool type thing. The stool is a source of some awkwardness, in that you have to spread your legs for the brow artist to access your face. She noticed I don't fill in my brows, I mentioned that I'd like to learn and she patiently taught me how to shape and fill in my brows using the Benefit products, asked if I liked the shape and if it was something I thought I could maintain, then said she was going to remove all the hair not included in the shape. You can indicate whether you want a tweeze or a wax. She also offered to do my lip--which I declined--stunned. (Sweet Mother of Pearl I hope I don't need a lip wax. Since when do I need a lip wax? I'm not lettin' wax near my lip until I look like Borat.) ANYWAYS, Waxing really irritates my skin and she said she didn't have a lot to remove, so I chose a tweeze even though it was 2 or 3 dollars more than wax. There was no pressure, Hillary didn't seem to care one way or the other. Hillary then really, really quickly and painlessly removed all the unshapely hair and smoothed out my brows with a brow comb or a spoolie or something. She had me check in a hand mirror multiple times during my visit so I could see what was going on. It's not a "spa" experience, it's like getting a makeover or a haircut. We chatted most of the time, and she did try to sell me Benefit products, their new skin care line was just released, and I felt under the gun, but once I said "no thanks" the pressure was off re: skin care. Though, there was enormous pressure to buy the brow product kit. When I finally saw my finished brows in the mirror I thought they looked really really dark and scary. Like Cruella DeVil. I was actually a little sad. I even said, "Wow, they look so dark." Hillary said "I know, I know, it takes some getting used to." I was thinking "Yeah Yeah whatever." I bought the Brows-a-go-go kit (fully expecting to return it later) paid for my service, made my next appointment (which I intended to cancel) and left. There was an option for a cash tip but I didn't have cash and I was feeling a little bad about buying the darn brow kit so I didn't run to an ATM or anything. Then, I went out to my car and saw myself in my visor mirror while I was putting lip gloss on (still parked). Honestly, I was stunned. I still can't believe how different my face looks. I think it looks like I got an eye lift. I love it. Now, I have every intention of keeping up the look with my Brows-a-go-go kit and keeping my appointment with Hillary. Moral of the story: If you have shapeless, sparse, or otherwise unfortunate brows, find yourself a Benefit Brow Bar.

Instead of being met with curiosity or problem-solving, I was immediately lectured about aftercare, interrupted multiple times, and spoken to with an attitude. I was pressed about whether I washed my lashes three times a week (it was only day five), and when I tried to explain what I was experiencing, I was told to "listen" rather than be heard. Then I was informed that because my stylist wasn't present, I wasn't eligible for any kind of consideration by her and that complimentary fixes are only offered within 48 hours of application. At no point did I ask for a free refill; I simply wanted someone to look at what was happening and help determine the cause or document for my stylist who wasn't present. Instead, I was treated as if I were trying to take advantage of the salon. This interaction should have been handled very differently. If a client is experiencing unusual shedding, the appropriate response is to document the issue, take photos, and follow up with the stylist and manager not to scold the customer or dismiss their concerns. For $180 plus tip a month, I expect basic professionalism, respect, and a clear escalation process when problems arise. Unfortunately, this experience made it clear that those things are not in place, which is why I ultimately cancelled my membership. Potential clients should be aware that if something goes wrong, you may not be treated with the care or respect you'd expect.

When I walked in, no one was at the front to greet me or ask what service I needed. The sign outside clearly said "Open," so I checked in and sat down. After waiting about 10 minutes, I finally called out, "Is anyone here?" because I could hear noise coming from the back room. A woman eventually came out wearing gloves and said, "We're open, but I'm busy right now." It looked like she was working on something in the back. I found this to be very unprofessional and poor customer service. If your business is open, someone should acknowledge customers, even if there's going to be a wait. According to European Wax Center's clearly stated policy, clients are allowed a nine (9) minute grace period. Despite being well within this timeframe, I was informed by two front desk staff members that my wax specialist had decided not to take me back and that I would need to reschedule. This was presented to me as a discretionary decision rather than a policy-based one. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this location, which suggests a recurring disregard for corporate policy rather than an isolated misunderstanding. Incident 2 - Closure Without Proper Notice (12/22/25) On December 22, 2025, I arrived for a scheduled appointment only to find the salon completely unattended. The doors were locked, and no staff were present. A handwritten note was posted stating that the salon was closed due to a fire, along with a non-working phone number. There was no advance notification, no follow-up communication, and no legitimate way to verify or address the situation at the time. This lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability is unacceptable for a national brand. Ongoing Pattern of Poor Management The Easton location has developed a notoriously poor reputation for this type of conduct, impacting numerous customers--not just myself. Repeated cancellations, selective enforcement of policies, and lack of basic customer communication raise serious concerns about management oversight and franchise compliance.
