I went here on a Saturday morning for brunch and really enjoyed it! The experience was reminiscent of when The Original Pancake House was located in downtown Wayzata - the place was busy! My friend and I both got "build your own" omelettes with crab in them. The crab is fresh, not frozen and you can tell. It was so flavorful! We also split a Nutella strawberry pancake that was just ok. It was definitely overpriced for what you get - the pancake is $13 and it was a normal pancake with one cut up strawberry and some Nutella on it. I'd expect something like this to be closed to $5. The orange juice was fresh squeezed which I enjoyed. The service was great and the food was good so we'll definitely be back! Can't wait to try the crab eggs Benedict! read more

Such a cute place to grab breakfast/brunch! Love the pineapple theme and the decor in general. My friend had the pancake flight with elvis, strawberry nutella, and chocolate. She really enjoyed it and said the elvis was the best out of the three. I had the crab and asparagus benedict with a bowl of berries. The benedict was super tasty, had tons of real crab meat! The benedict came with fried potatoes that were so good! soaked in tons of oil and super crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. According to our server, the potatoes are one of the things they are well known for. I will definitely be back again. This is my new favorite breakfast spot. read more

Benedict's is not my breakfast hero. I was excited to try a new breakfast joint close to home yesterday and was quickly disappointed. I made a reservation two hours in advance and arrived at noon. We sat at the breakfast bar area, which was delightfully sticky. One waitress seemed content ignoring us and leaning over the bar chatting with single male patrons, leaving the other one scrambling to make drinks and serve the entire bar. We ordered and proceeded to wait 30 minutes for a plate of breakfast slop. Waiting 37 minutes for water because the waitress could not be bothered with my water request. 38 minutes for utensils. The pancakes briefly made up for the bad start, but the gristle in the chicken sausage brought me back down to earth. Moral of the story, just because it has cute marketing, doesn't mean it's good. I'll keep making the drive to Minneapolis for decent breakfast food for now.... read more

Went in today for what is sure to be the first of many visits! To start: lots to love here from the ambience which is a mix of modern, beach, and bright. Bonus that it's not overly loud. Menu is unique-lots of eggs Benedict (obviously!) and tons of other options from light fare to omelette and pancakes to lunch fare and salads. Drinks include standard breakfast options like coffee, tea, and juice; but also include mimosas, bloody Mary's, and wine. Lots of choices for everyone. I ordered the lobster roll because the server said it was "sooo good" (obviously she did it's 21 bucks). The thing came out to me and at first sight I knew I was in for a B at best meal. Well the damn roll didn't even make the cut for a B grade; it was a friggin C- given that the bun was so dry I had to take a gulp of water after every bite. There were 4 lame flakes of lobster on there, and let me tell you it was blander than a vanilla yogurt. They added some pickles on to it, not sure if that's a thing for a lobster roll but what do I know? Fries were old and mushy. My friends has similar experiences with their dishes: flavorless, lackluster, all around MEH. Buy one of their mugs, not their food. This place is a skip. read more

Met one of my employees here for a business breakfast. Nice big table for just two of us, which was nice because we needed space for paperwork. We both had coffee. I ordered an eggs benedict which has lox salmon, spinach and tomatoes. This was excellent! Substituted hash browns over the potatoes. The hash browns were the best I've had in a long time. I loved this place in the past so we picked Benedict's today to take my nephew and his partner out for breakfast. We wanted someplace where we could sit outside. We walked in and met a host that was grumpy and hardly greeted us. He acted like he was doing us a big favor just to seat us. The waitress was overworked and it was hard to get coffee refills. My husband's omelet was cold and there was a hair in one of our guest's food. No one sent anything back as we were all trying to be polite and the wait staff was not coming around much. As we were leaving we asked our waitress to snap a picture of us and she refused saying she was too busy. Will pick a different place next time. This is the place to be for weekend brunches! The atmosphere is very family friendly with good food to match. IMO the best avocado toast in town. Earlier, I read a review comment on the hostesses being more concerned about their looks than service - give me a break! The women are young but friendly, happy, and hardworking. I enjoy the pancakes, glazed bacon, and fun drink options but return over and over to see Sandy and her husband, Bob. They make you feel like a small town customer in a big city restaurant. She's got a twinkle in her eye & always fills my mimosa with more champagne than orange juice. The menu is extensive and the pancake flight is wonderful. Get the house made potatoes!! The natural light brings a sense of tranquility and happiness to all costumers as they enjoy their morning coffee with family and friends. After my experience, I understand why they chose the name Benedict's, as the Classic Eggs Benedict did not disappoint! Went there this morning for the first time. I have heard all sorts of good reviews. My husband loves the place. I, on the other hand , was very disappointed. I ordered the eggs, meat, potatoes and toast breakfast. Ordered the eggs, scrambled well. They were soft and runny. The sour dough toast was crunchy, and the pork sausage was flavorless. If the waiter would have actually stopped at the table... instead he walked by and said hope everything is ok and kept going... I would have asked for my eggs to be cooked. The portion is magnificent- but you can order a half portion if you'd like ... & get a chocolate chip pancake on the side! The breakfast potatoes are delightful, but I love the crispy hash brown option. The staff are always sweet & very courteous. You can also come by boat...just tie up to the public dock near Cov! I understand that he is not restaurant staff, however they were watching and said NOTHING. What a terrible system! They don't take reservations and they make you use the Yelp app to get on a wait list and the app isn't even close to giving you the right wait time. We waited for 2 hours before giving up and we were still 35th in line. The app initially said our wait was only going to be about an hour. We spoke with people in line who had been waiting 3 hours and the app told them it would be a 30 minute wait. One of the worst parts is that the host told us it would be a 45 minute wait after we checked in and that wasn't even close, they subsequently told us to just watch the app because that was going to give us the best indication of when we'd be seated. As mentioned previously, the app is pretty much worthless. Needless to be say, our entire experience was pretty terrible. We ended up going down the street to 6Smith and had a great brunch! read more

Great food, service, and drinks but can be difficult to get in because there can be long wait times and they don't take reservations.

Came in here last weekend with a party of 6 and they were able to get us seated pretty quick. After waiting for about 15 minuets we had to ask a server walking by for some water and if we could get some drink orders in. She said our server would be over shortly, and we waited about 5 more minuets before our server greeted us. Finally we were able to get drink orders in and waited another 15 minuets before they were brought to the table and one of them was the wrong drink. We then ordered our food which took over 45 minuets to come out. Everyone that had ordered hash browns on the side were not given the correct side. Once it was time to pay the bill we waited for over 30 minuets while the waitress tried to figure out how to split the bill for us. Only reason I am giving this restaurant 2 stars is because the chicken sandwich I had was pretty good. However I would not return due to the poor service we received. read more
