We were out and about in the area and came upon this place. It looked crowded so we figured it must be good. We stopped in and were greeted with a smile. The hostess asked if we had a reservation and I explained that we didn't as we were driving by and were just taking things in for the day. She quickly found us a table and we were seated in a jiffy. Our waiter Luke, was extremely kind, friendly and attentive. My water glass was always full and we were checked up on throughout our visit. The food was excellent and the soup and salad bar was a very nice surprise. We were stuffed as we finished. We can't wait to come back and indulge in the wonderful ice cream drinks that we saw other tables enjoying for dessert. Thanks to all your staff for providing such a nice evening. read more

We had a great dining experience at Benedetti's. The salad bar was fresh and we liked the choices. We had to ask what the dressings were because they aren't identified. The dinner rolls were warm and perfect. The ribs were fabulous. We loved the bourbon glaze. The meat was very tender. I had pan fried walleye which was excellent but I did get some bones. It was a large piece of fish and I enjoyed thw mashed potatoes. We also had wonderful old fashions. We actually wanted an ice cream dessert but they were huge. So we had a great teramisu which we shared and couldn't even finish. We can't wait to go back. The wait staff was very friendly and knew the menu well when we asked questions. It had been several years since I'd been to Benedetti's, but I wanted to give it a chance under new ownership. When I was there many years ago, I didn't find the salad bar that fresh, and the potatoes tasted like they were from a box. I'm happy say both were better this visit-the potatoes were good, and the vegetables looked fresh. Overall, the food was good, I still feel like this place needs some more menu items that are house made: a signature salad dressing or an appetizer that's not a frozen item thrown in the fryer to make the place great. The prime rib didn't have much of a crust. It wasn't overcooked, but it needed more seasoning and more of a sear on the outside with the slow cooked inside. Service was polite and friendly. It's still pretty dark in there, and the carpet probably still needs replacing, but I try not to think about that. read more

Our whole Saturday night experience was wonderful! Great drinks at the bar from Nate, and our server Trish was friendly and answered all our questions about the menu. The salad bar was well stocked and clean, and the chicken gnocchi soup was amazing! We all ordered steaks and I added on a lobster tail. Everything was delicious. Steaks were prepared as ordered, well seasoned, and the lobster tail was done to perfection. All the staff was attentive and friendly and the new owner stopped by our table to check on us. It's been a while since I've been here, but excited to add it to my regular night out rotation, food and service have definitely been elevated since the previous ownership. read more

Nice little bar restaurant. Great bartender who fixed us a Brandy Old Fashion. Excellent. The salad bar was small but it had the traditional red bean salad which was very good. Lettuce was fresh and cold. They had other typical selections just not very elaborate but very good. I had the filet which was fatty but very good. I would recommend it. The au-gratin potatoes were disappointing due to being overcooked. My wife had the BBQ Ribs and they were very good and moist. The baked potato was very good. We did enjoy ourselves and the waitstaff were excellent. I would recommend and next time we'll come for the fish. read more

Our visit to Benedetti's Supper Club was a complete disappointment. Our party of 12 arrived before 5 pm without reservations, hoping to enjoy an early dinner. The hostesses, unfortunately, were the epitome of unwelcoming; their refusal to accommodate us, despite numerous open tables, left a sour taste from the start. We even suggested splitting our group into smaller tables to no avail. A kind fellow diner relinquished their table, offering it to us, and we ended up scattered across three tables. The hostility continued when the hostess showed displeasure as my 17-month-old walked from our table to his grandpa's. To add to the frustration, one of our tables was rushed to finish and leave, citing the need for the table, only to find it unoccupied half an hour later. This unacceptable, they seated us and did not mention a "time limit" and they were only dining at the table for 30 minutes. The culinary experience mirrored the service--disappointing. The fish, American fries, French fries, and baked potato were all disappointingly bland, and the kids' Mac n cheese resembled a budget box of Kraft. As out-of-town visitors spending time with family, this experience was a low point, and we won't be returning. Treating patrons with respect seems to be a lesson lost on Benedetti's Supper Club. Even after expressing our grievances to the manager, an apology was offered without any meaningful attempt to rectify the mistreatment of our group. A regrettable experience that left us with no desire to return. All I really wanted was the grasshopper and after part of our group was rushed out I wasn't about to order anything more. read more

I ordered the baked fish, which was absolutely delicious! It was flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Their fries even had good flavor and were cooked well. Their salad bar was pretty average for a salad bar but it was great that they had one. All the food at the salad bar looked fresh and tasted good. We ordered a mile-high grasshopper, which was absolutely AMAZING, and they even brought out little bowls and spoons so all 6 of us could share it. We made reservations so we didn't have any wait time to be seated. The service was fantastic - everyone was super polite and hospitable. Out waitress, Grace, was very attentive and sweet. We got our food very quickly (granted we were there pretty early). The owner even came out and went around and asked how everyone's dinner was which was a nice touch. The price was pretty on point for the type of restaurant and food we ordered. Love that it's locally owned and operated. Super charming and nice place. Fancy enough to dress up but totally cool to not. Atmosphere was great. Overall great experience and will definitely be going back! read more

I hate to admit it, but I've been eating here for probably over 50 years so I was very familiar with the Benedetti family's way of cooking and serving and this new owner is right up to their standards very friendly. The martinis were perfect. The bartenders could have paid a little more attention around the bar, but other than that, the food was delicious. The fish was just right and we really enjoyed. Service was wonderful and the food was great! We went on a Friday night, got there shortly after 5:00. Seated right away. Friday only take reservations for 5 or more. We had 4 in our party. Each of us had a different entree. Ribs , fish fry , filet mignon, and pork chop. All were delicious. They serve a limited menu on Friday so we have reservations next Saturday so we can try something different. read more

Let me say this place was very disappointing tonight. We have eaten here in the past and always good. Unfortunately something has changed. The salad bar is fair but nothing really to put on the lettuce except tomatoes and the soup was cold. I ordered the chicken cordon blu and it's was absolutely horrible. The waitress admitted they are bought not made there. Zero taste breading was disgusting. The waitress said they wouldn't charge me for that but wanted to charge me for the salad bar and 1/2 cup of cold soup 13.95! She continued to say things that were totally inappropriate to me as a customer. She was rude. To bad customer service is not good as well as the food. We also waited 1/2 an hour for a table when there were empty ones but no servers so they made us wait. Lost us as customers but not sure they even care. read more

THEY HAVE A FABULOUS SALAD BAR all you can eat soup and salad bar included with the dinner and EVERYTHING in that salad bar is fresh and delicious. The pickled herring is so delicious!!! We came on a Thursday night, because it was my birthday. We were seated right away, and only one of four tables, because we came around 7:00. The waitress was a little all over the place, taking our drink order but then saying she'd be right back with appetizers instead of bringing drinks. So when the apps came, we still didn't have drinks, and she was going to go get drinks when we reminded her, but I had to stop her and ask if we could just put in our order at that point. The food was all delicious though, which is the only reason for 4 stars, hopefully our service will be better next time. The salad bar was yummy, and all of our food was perfect. My husband loved the scallops, and I thought my steak was very good too! I wasn't a huge fan of the garlic mashed potatoes, but I'm sure it's because I've been spoiled by another restaurant making them perfectly. Wasn't super impressed with this place. The menu online has way more choices than the one they actually provide you at the restaurant. I actually wanted something that they no longer had. Our French onion soup was barely warm. There is also no salad bar anymore. The petite filet was tender but.. basically tasteless. I didn't even care for the mushrooms and those are always my favorite part. The drinks were poured well and the au gratin potatoes were good but that's about all I can give this place. I did think their ice cream desserts were cool looking but we didn't try one. In conclusion I'd prob skip this place .. try the butterfly club instead. read more

We had a party of 8. The evening started with delicious drinks from the bar. We were greeted by the hostess upon arrival. She was very accommodating. Our dinner was delicious. From the appetizers to the salad bar. 4 of us had the nightly special of prime rib. Cooked to perfection. Rib eye steaks and filets were enjoyed from the rest. I definitely recommend the ice cream dessert drinks. Unbelievable!! They also provide a take out container for you to enjoy that drink at home!! Cannot wait to go back! So many choices in the menu. Also...we had a 4 year old dining with us. She prefers rice with her meals. Even though it is not offered as a side dish, they kindly made the substitution for her. Horrible experience on Friday aug 25th. Dinner club od 10 people. Found a club of hair in the dinner roll, ordered steak medium rare but more on the rare side and shrimp and pan seared scallops. Steak was well done gray in color. Was told the would not be charging for that dinner. Hade two glasses of wine. Bill was 67.00 dollars for scallops and the wine. Contacted the owner and she said the bill was correct. What a terrible experience. Would not spend another at that place. 67 dollars for scallops. Give me a break. Priced at 33 on tha menu. Benedetti's Supper Club was a great choice for a Friday night. Certainly, crowded, but they made room for our party of five. We started off with appetizers. Shrimp cocktail and fried calamari. The shrimp were huge and delicious! The fried calamari was equally delicious, crispy and tender. I ordered the baked cod and shared with my daughter. It came with coleslaw, dinner rolls and your choice of potato, our preference was the au gratin cheesy potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection and was plenty to share. My husband got the fried cod, which he promptly devoured. My son in law ordered a beautiful steak and he loved it! My grandson ordered something off the kids menu-chicken strips and French fries. We were full, but kept seeing this dessert going by...a HUGE Ice cream. We inquired about it and it's their famous after dinner ice cream. It literally about a foot tall of swirled deliciousness. The one at a nearby table was the grasshopper. We chose the Sunken Treasure. Strawberries and all kinds of goodness. It's meant to be shared by the whole table, the 4 adults shared and took home the leftovers! They made Logan his own special sundae. Perfect ending to a perfect meal. Have lived in the Beloit/Janesville for over 30yrs and have never been there until about a month ago. Since then I've been back 3 times and have tries 3 different things from the menu. The Ribeye was good. the Fried cod was average. The baked lasagna was great, big portion. I agree that the menu on the website needs to updated to reflect what they actually have. People need to remember that this is an old school supper club. It's going to be crowded and may take awhile before you get a table. You go to these places to be with friends and family to enjoy each others company and try different supper clubs. It doesn't matter where you go. Something can always go wrong or your good may not be the greatest, shit happens. But did you enjoy the company with you. Each supper club is going to be different. It's nice because it's 1st come 1st serve. If you have a party of 6 or more you can make a reservation. Mike, one of the bar tenders is great to talk to, when he's not busy making old fashions. Last Friday i started talking to the guy next to me while waiting for our table. He has been going there for years and gave me some great knowledge on all the different supper clubs in the area. He also told me about the Grand ave Pub having live Blues/jazz music on Monday nights and big band live music on Tuesday nights. I'll be back to Benedettie's in the near future. I was always the 1st person to write a bad review on the littlest this and ridicule the staff. I don't let the little things bother me like they use to. Wisconsin has some wonderful classic supper clubs hidden away, and this is one of them! Great food, attentive service, friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Coming up from Chicago for decades, we are always welcomed like family. We have tried everything on the menu; my personal favorite is the petite fillet mignon. Consistently delicious! Small but more than adequate soup and salad bar with variety of selections, everything fresh, including the warm oven baked bread. The Grasshopper & Brandy Alexander ice cream drinks for dessert are enormous, and worth the visit just to experience them! Order one for the whole table! An area favorite for years, and now we have retired to the area! We are completely satisfied customers. read more
