Severson Plumbing & Mechanical - Voted Best Plumber in Bend by the Source TWO YEARS RUNNING!

Severson Plumbing & Mechanical

The staff and management/owner Jason Severson answered my call for help in a timely manner and…read morecompleted the installation of a new water shutoff valve with great efficiency. Anita at the office and Nathan in the field completed my job in record time. I am sold on Severson for all of my plumbing needs and will be pleased to use them in the future and recommend them to my friends and neighbors. Bend, OR

** one star and unfortunately, it's well deserved **…read more Our experience with Severson Plumbing started with an issue involving our sewer tank and work that was already covered under the company's warranty. You would think resolving an issue with previously warranted work would be relatively straightforward. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The first point of contact was Stephanie, and dealing with her was like pulling teeth. Her communication was consistently rude and unprofessional. On two occasions, information provided to us was simply not accurate, and that same misinformation was apparently relayed to Jason Severson, the owner, who was out of town at the time. I understand that people travel and take time away from work. However, when a customer has an unresolved warranty issue, some level of communication and follow through should still be expected. After waiting more than two weeks, Jason finally returned my call. Unfortunately, rather than taking the time to understand what had happened, acknowledge the frustration or make an effort to resolve the situation, he came into the conversation without having the facts straight. What followed was even more disappointing. The conversation was condescending, dismissive, and completely lacking in any meaningful effort to understand or address the underlying issue. Rather than taking ownership and trying to find a resolution, Jason spoke down to me and ultimately hung up on me. Let that sink in. This is the owner of the company. Customer service starts with the first person who answers the phone, and it certainly doesn't improve when the matter reaches ownership. Mistakes happen. Warranty issues happen. What distinguishes a reputable business is how it responds when something goes wrong. In our experience, neither the initial customer service nor the owner's response demonstrated the professionalism, accountability, or basic courtesy that customers should expect. I'm leaving this review because I believe other homeowners in our community deserve to know what our experience was like before choosing this company. I would not recommend Severson Plumbing & Mechanical. The issue itself was frustrating, but the way we were treated throughout the process was ultimately what made this experience so disappointing.

Hands down the sloppiest, most disorganized company i've ever worked with…read more I have been without AC for almost a month now. We have had least 8 separate service calls, new technician almost every time who has no idea what is going on. Every time I call the office they are clueless without notes and not helpful. After maybe 6 visits, they send the "Service Operations Manager" who figures out the issue, orders a part. It sits in the warehouse for a week. When I call the office for an update for the 20th time, they tell me oops they forgot and send another guy out to install it. He comes out the next day to install it and what do you know oops again, that was the wrong board (after installation) and the "Service Operations Manager" is no longer with the company (this is all within about a week). Mind you, these guys have already charged me 360 bucks on the first visit for only changing the filters and assuring me this is the problem. Time for a second opinion and honestly need to have the whole system inspected because this company did the original install I am not sure if my house is going to randomly blow up due to their incompetence. BUYER BEWARE Update: Had a new company come out (shout out to Diversified Heating & Cooling) who figured it out within an hour the next day after posting the review. Turns out this company pinched a wire when they did the installation. Took them 8 visits and they were fully prepared to replace both control boards on the condenser and all along it was a pinched communication wire under the air handler. Morons!

It was time for my annual HVAC checkup, so Central Oregon Heating & Cooling sent out Buddy C. to do…read morethe honors. Buddy was extremely thorough and even showed me a few issues that, while not major problems, were things to keep an eye on. Very professional manner - his knowledge was vast. I shall use them again!
