Everyone hates to call a plumber. But when there's a plumbing problem like a leaking water heater I had no choice. After getting a quote from another plumber for $1500 Nick of Eldridge Plumbing said he could do the job for around $1100. He came over and looked at the job. I explained to him that I am looking for the lowest price. He said he's look for a water heater that would help bring the cost down. When he called to tell me he found one for $360 I told him to buy it. Within the hour Nick was back at my house with the new water heater. He installed it and voila! He quoted and performed a same day job I had for him at my Moms house in Bend working on the wax gasket to our guest bath toilet and also with our garbage disposal in the kitchen. I called Eldridge Plumbing and Nick called me back quickly and on a Sunday to boot. He was able to give me an estimate on the phone, educated me on my choices, offered me suggestions. His pricing was better than the other 3 calls I made. My appointment time was from 8 to 9 and he was at the door at 8:05. Not only did he fix our toilet quickly, there was no mess, and it was done perfectly! Eldridge Plumbing was one of 3 plumbers we contacted and the only one that responded. Not only that, Nicholas was prompt, professional, personable and his work ethic is commendable! He removed our old "builder grade" toilet and installed a new comfort height elongated bowl toilet for us but after the "flush test", he realized that the toilet was leaking. He went all the way from our home in Sisters to Bend then to Redmond in order to find a replacement of the same type. All the while, he never lost his great attitude. Nick is an exceptionally fine plumber. He installed a new gas range for us. It also required cutting the tile slightly to fit. He hauled away the old electric range. He was able to make adjustments as needed. He also hooked up a dryer hose under the house that had come undone. His prices are reasonable.
