Everyone hates to call a plumber. But when there's a plumbing problem like a leaking water heater I had no choice. After getting a quote from another plumber for $1500 Nick of Eldridge Plumbing said he could do the job for around $1100. He came over and looked at the job. I explained to him that I am looking for the lowest price. He said he's look for a water heater that would help bring the cost down. When he called to tell me he found one for $360 I told him to buy it. Within the hour Nick was back at my house with the new water heater. He installed it and voila! Young man new to Bend. Been a plumber for 14 yrs. Father and brother also plumbers. 1976 vintage, wall mounted toilet leaking through to first floor. He quoted and performed a same day job I had for him at my Moms house in Bend working on the wax gasket to our guest bath toilet and also with our garbage disposal in the kitchen. We made great conversation as he let me watch what he was doing, and he gave me pointers on things to look for should both issues pop up again. Most other companies I requested quotes from couldn't do same day (the day after Christmas Day no less) but Eldridge Plumbing did and I was very appreciative and grateful. On time, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, excellent value, and clean!!! We had a slight emergency, we needed to replace our master toilet ASAP. I called Eldridge Plumbing and Nick called me back quickly and on a Sunday to boot. He was able to give me an estimate on the phone, educated me on my choices, offered me suggestions. His pricing was better than the other 3 calls I made. My appointment time was from 8 to 9 and he was at the door at 8:05. Not only did he fix our toilet quickly, there was no mess, and it was done perfectly! He also checked all our shower heads, fixed one, and checked a water spot from the water heater, at no additional charge! It was great hearing about his 13 years in the business and that he is a young business owner with a beautiful family! Nick is an exceptionally fine plumber. He installed a new gas range for us. It also required cutting the tile slightly to fit. He hauled away the old electric range. He was able to make adjustments as needed. He also hooked up a dryer hose under the house that had come undone. His prices are reasonable.
