I was in Broomfield delivering documents to a client of mine who worked at Bending Wrenches Automotive. When I first walked in the door the owner introduced himself and we were discussing my recent car issues while i waited for my client. After I had completed my business with my client, I went out to my car and the car would not keep running after I let my foot off the gas. Rickey immediately goes out to see what might be causing the car problems and enlists the help of his mechanic to trouble shoot the issue. Now you must realize that I was just there on "other" business and did not have an appointment, it was closing time, and these fine people at Bending Wrenches Automotive were willing to stay late to help me get my car back on the road so I could head home to Parker. Rickey made a few phone calls, finds the part, it's delivered with minutes and I am back on the road and heading home. I couldn't believe the customer service that I received from this shop. These fine folks were more concerned about me getting home then worrying about "quitting time" and they offered to take me wherever I needed to go so that my fiancee didn't have to drive from Parker to Broomfield in rush hour. I called my fiancee and told him that I was back on the road and that they were able to trouble shoot the problem and fix it within a half an hour. I just can't believe what I experienced at this shop. My fiancee's car needs major repair work and we have been reluctant to get it done. Not anymore! I have found an auto repair shop worth driving to so I can have an honest estimate of what needs work and know that the charges will be reasonable. I had known about Rick and Bending Wrenches for about a year and a half. My girlfriend's son used them many times since his off road club uses them exclusively. My girlfriend had also used them. Finding a "HONEST' mechanic is a true oxymoron but Rick and his crew passes the litmus test. Had to have my 2001 Jeep rear end replaced/rebuilt 2 weeks ago and the cost was going to be up there. He more than gave me a fair price and also recommended some other work at a point sooner than later to prevent costlier repair work if the products continue to wear down past a marginal safe zone. Not sure why Todd H. has a burr under his saddle(with his $20 investment) but as with any business (including my own) with the advent of the internet and pages like these it is impossible to get the complete unbiased version of details unless you have a official United Nations "Hall Monitor" present the whole time to film and dictate what is actually being said and done. :) I spent over $1500.00 and will return and spend more in the future. Ricky and his team are second to none! My wife and I were extremely bummed out when we thought we may have to purchase a new vehicle - our Cadillac Escalade began to leak oil super bad from multiple sources. A brief look over from another mechanic only made us feel worse as they had indicated rear main seal and head gaskets were bad and estimated thousands of dollars in repairs. Ricky offered to have his experts take a look, they quickly determined it was an oil pan leak and a valley gasket (not rear main and not head gasket!) They were able to fix it for a fair affordable price as well as made some other alignment suggestions (was eating front tires alive!) We have since drove our family SUV up to Minnesota and back... not a single drop of oil and our old truck feels like a puppy again!!!! I have used this shop a couple of times and both times it was very good. They know what they are up to, they are honest, and the prices are still pretty good. They don't try to talk you into stuff that you don't need, and they fix it right. I have total confidence in these guys, which I can't say about almost any other mechanic that I have used before. I have had some really BAD experiences in the past, but these guys are good in my opinion (and I am a mechanic but do take it in for a few special needs). They did misquote a price on some work, but I was impressed that they only MENTIONED it, and never made an issue out of it. They just charged me the QUOTED price even though they had to eat about a $30 difference. I hope he stays in business a long time because really good shops are very hard to find. There has NEVER been a woman working the counter here. Someone posted false info. We found Bending Wrenches back in 2009. Finding a new mechanic you can trust is always difficult. Ricky gave us the best experience I have ever received at an automotive shop! A few years later Brian joined the team and keeps up the standards set by Ricky. I drive a LOT (5,000+ miles per month). When I leave I always feel confident with the maintenance/repairs and Ricky stands behind his shops work. Brian always lets me know What maintenance is coming up next so I'm never caught off guard. The shop recently relocated about 20 minutes further from my home, but I will continue to bring both my vehicles here EVERY time. read more

I pulled my Jeep into the car wash, washed it, then pulled it around to the gas station to fill up. when I went to leave, it wouldn't start. I walked next door to Bending Wrenches. Rick & the guys helped push the Jeep over, told me they'd diagnose it for free and call me when they figured it out. turns out it was the fuel pump. once into the job, they noticed a significant amount of rust on my skidplate & called to tell me about it. we had to do some footwork to come up with a skidplate, but the guys stayed late to make it work. basically, I walked in their shop unexpectedly, and they took care of me. I know enough about auto repair to do most repair and maintenance myself but I really trust the perfectionist mentality of these guys. I grew up in Broomfield, but live in the mountains, so when my daughter had problems with her Jeep Cherokee, I brought it in and they fixed the immediate problems and gave a fair estimate on front differential work to be done another time. I really had thought this mechanic shop was going to be reliable and trustworthy. I took my suv in and had minor work done, after driving for about a few days i was having other issues. Its almost as if they want to keep charging you but then mess with other parts to then bring it in again and charge again. Not reliable! Will be looking for another shop for the future. read more

My vehicle broke down in Broomfield and I had it towed to Bending Wrenches. They were very busy but still got it looked at right away.
