I wish I could give 10 stars...or more... I literally called 20+ dealers across the nation (Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Texas, California) for the past several days to get a price on 2023~2024 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek and...no one...I mean no one in the entire nation could not kept their advertising price...except sales Manager Jarred from Bender Chrysler in Clovis, NM...he gave me his bottom line price in less than 2 min phone conversation... Not only Mr. Jarred gave me his bottom price (better than any other dealers in the nation), Mr. Jarred also gave me the best finance rate, which I never thought I could get in Feburary 2024. The rate he got for us is almost as closed to OEM finance company's special interest rate on a new vehicle... Mr. Jarred gave me his word "don't worry, we will not sale your car from underneath. Once we make a deal, we will honor the deal". Since, he gave me his word, it was time for us to keep our word and got our down payment in a hurry and drove straight to Clovis, NM and we have promised to be at the dealer first thing in the morning at 8am. Elle greeted us respectfully and gave us key and let us take the vehicle for ourselves to drive around while they were preparing documentation for us to sign. We were led to Mr. Figueroa's office as we came back to the dealer and we had a wonderful conversation with Mr. Figueroa, while we were signing our documents (4th day at the job and great young man, we both wish him well)... As we were signing documents, of course, I've checked the details of the transaction and this is the first time I've ever seen the actual documents reflected all of the details we've agreed from the first 2 min conversation with Manager Jarred. All in all took us less than 2 hours (most of which we were talking with Mr. Figueroa about life in general), then all of them greeted us and thanked us as we walked out of the dealership. we got there for a key program and left with all kinds of problems and codes on my dodge. and besides 4 hours waiting for the key fob to be programmed ended up with almost $1500 worth of stuff we have to do to the pickup to get it back running without codes, my husband and the other dealer told the service department to not work on a recall and they took it upon themselves to do it after being told not to and thats where the pickup got 14 total codes on it. Do Not take your dodge to them.... they clearly do not know what they r doing in the service department. I got an almost $500 bill for a $70 key fob programming and now we have to come up with another $1000 to get my pickup back to running with no problems. Actually a rating of 0 stars, yet Yelp won't allow that. I knew what the problem with my vehicle was and told the repair guys before I even made the appointment. Five minutes after I left my vehicle with Bender's repair dept, I received a call stating the exact issue I had already told them 3 days earlier, and was charged over $102 with NO repair. These idiots wouldn't give me my keys back until I paid. They told me the repair was going to be $800 when parts are only $400. I wanted the owner to call me & he's a coward because he refused to call or return my calls; left 6 msgs. I made a complaint with NM Attorney General's office so they know just how crooked these people are. I had the car fixed for 1/3 of what Bender wanted and a year's warranty as well. I specifically dealt with Stephen Bertand and Mackey Lovato. They showed genuine concern for my predicament as I broke down moving from Washington state to southern Texas. They offered me shuttle service, brought me water, and consistently checked on my needs. Stephen worked really hard to make sure that my service went smoothly. He went the extra mile because he knew I needed to get on the road. He kept me informed of the situation at all times and made my two-day stay in Clovis as pleasant as possible. As a customer, I believe that Stephen and Mackey are valuable assets to your company. I am deeply grateful and will remember Bender if I need any service in the future. read more

Bought my jeep from bender about 6 months ago. It had large decals on the hood and doors. I personally did not like the stickers and told them I would like them removed before I would go through with the purchase they agreed and I made sure they put it in my contract. After a large dust storm I noticed dust was sticking to where the decal was. Called and asked if they could do anything about it because it was in my contract. They kept if for 3 days and were not able to get it removed. I asked if I could take it to someone else to have them removed and they agreed. I was then told if paint was damaged because of their attempted removal they would not be willing to pay for it. When I asked to speak to the manager Ronnie he was very rude and was not apologetic for the damage at all! Instead of calling me to discuss the damages they called my father who has nothing to do with this purchase. I do not recommend doing business here they do not keep their word and will undermine you if you are a female. read more

Bender Service Department took care of fixing the gear shift console in my Jeep that a California dealership had accidentally broken while working on something else. It took months to get a replacement console, as it's an older model Grand Cherokee. By the time the part was procured, the Jeep was no longer in California. Bender's fixed it when the part came in (shipped to me, and I called Bender's to see if they would install it). I was in and out in less than 24 hours. Thank you, Eric Nelson and the service crew! Run away! Brought my son's 2008 Dodge Charger in for service (son was stationed at Cannon AFB, Clovis, NM). It was close to 60,000 miles, so I asked what the recommended services were for the car, and they indicated an oil change, transmission oil change, and new air filter, to which I agreed (approximately $250). They also offered their multi-point safety inspection along with the service. Later that afternoon, I picked up the car. My first red flag was that one of the tires still indicated low pressure (wouldn't that have been picked up during their "safety inspection"?). The checkoff sheet for the inspection was also blank (a prior service included the same type of inspection sheet, which at least had been checked off). My next stop was the car wash, where, when cleaning out the car, I found a receipt from 6 months prior, where the exact same service had performed -- and only 2,500 miles had been driven between the two services! An oil change I can understand, but one would think that they would have seen on their computer that the transmission was just serviced a couple of thousand miles prior and indicated as such (saving me a $175 or thereabouts). I will take some responsibility for not keeping better track of what was being done to the car, but isn't that one of the reasons that you take it to the dealer -- so their computer system can keep track of that type of thing? Of course I drove back to the dealer and spoke with the service manager. He offered that the guy at the counter could have pulled that up on the computer, but it was on a different screen and he was kind of a new employee, so he didn't do that -- and that's my fault? Jiffy Lube pulls that info up in their sleep when you pull into their facility. He offered me a free oil change in the future -- gee thanks! Fast forward 3 months later, I'm back in town and check the oil -- 3 quarts low (the car doesn't leak, nor does it burn oil -- it had only been driven about 2,000 miles since the dealer allegedly changed the oil/filter). So now I'm suspicious as to whether the transmission was ever serviced either. Did they do anything? Save yourself some trouble if you are in the area and drive to the dealer in Portales! read more

Zero stars...My 2018 jeep was leaking oil in my garage. Service department looked at it for 20 minutes and came out trying to hand me my keys. They said they didn't find anything wrong. I was on the phone with my husband who said it looked like a specific part had been leaking. The man went back in and told them. Came out and said,"Yeah, that's what it was." THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THE EXPERTS, NOT ME! They ordered the part and told me one week. I called a week later and it was not in but should be another week. At this point I was told it was back ordered. I called a week later and it was still not in. (I understand there are delays due to Covid-19.) I was told it would be another week. They called about 6 days later when it was in and I made an appointment. I took the Jeep in. After an hour and a half I got a call telling me I needed to come back next week. They ordered the wrong part. No apology until I told them I was upset. NOT because of the lateness of the part, because of the WRONG order. I made an appointment for the next week. My husband called and talked to the manager. He gave a long excuse about COVID making things take longer. So, COVID caused you to not know how to diagnose my car and caused you to order the wrong part? He said he could MAYBE offer a 10% discount and there was nothing else he could do. This place thinks that they do not need to have good customer service just because they are the only JEEP service center in Clovis. I had to TELL them what was wrong with my car, I was told a week after ordering my part that it was on back order (why not when I ordered it), waited 3 weeks, waited 1.5 hours for service that was NOT COMPLETED because they didn't even have the part, then received no kind of discount and only an apology AFTER I said I was upset. I created a Yelp account just to write this review for this place. It is TERRIBLE. The service desk is extremely rude, they will not acknowledge your existence and if you try to ask for help they will tell you to wait without even looking at you. They (mainly Eric) act like they have something better to do, and treat you like an idiot for not knowing all of the jargon. They took 4 days to do an estimate, then tried to charge more than DOUBLE what every other shop in Clovis asked for the same service. Then they claimed that I needed an entire new (even though they bid a used) front end. When I took it to another dealership they said the front end was fine, just needed a new ball joint. There were hidden fees, and they charged me $17 just for looking at my truck. They argued with me that "they had to have a technician look at it and we have to pay him." Thats your job, its called, cost of doing business! WASTE OF TIME, WASTE OF MONEY, AND LIES. SCAMMERS. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

RUN, do not walk, away from these scumbags. My husband and I purchased a vehicle in July from Bender. The bottom line is that they sold us a broken car. When we went to pick up the car, we received it dirty and on empty. We made it an hour down the road before it broke. They had our car off and on ~ collectively for over two months~ over the course of four separate occasions trying to fix the original problem. We caught them in several lies and they always seemed to return the car with something else broken or drained of gas. While one of the original problems is fixed, the air conditioner is still messed up, and one of the running boards are broken. Mr. Bender himself assured me, when I finally got him on the phone, that Bender would fix the running board and reimburse us for the three empty tanks that were drained, but of course there was no follow up. Marty is one of the managers who "helped" us, and by helped I mean lie, backpedal and scam us. The only think Bender is good at is BENDing the truth. Save yourself the trouble. read more
