The work that the owner does is sloppy, unacceptable and has no integrity in the work he does. I took my truck to him multiple times and it was worse each time. Don't be fooled by the reviews that have five stars people. Go somewhere else, the work in Clovis is mediocre. read more

I wanted to believe in this place since the owners seem so nice but can't give a good review after my experience. Not only was the install two hours past agreed upon time but the craftsmanship could use improvement. Bubbles in the tint, a misaligned film install, and spots without any tint coverage at all (see pictures). Based on other 5 star reviews, I hope my experience was one-off. read more

I do NOT recommend this shop to anyone. I visited AutoImage 2 weeks ago, and I waited until now to leave this review in case the owner wanted to reply or comment on the email I sent him. I meet the owner, Ian, today at the Gearhead Gathering, and as soon as I introduced myself he answered my question. A dismissive, can't even look me in the eyes, "sorry about that". He is clearly not concerned with the fact that he employs a smart ass and a liar. I am a nobody to Ian and his business, and he made that quite clear. Below is my first and last experience with AutoImage, and is the email that I received no reply to: Ian Pierce, My name is Craig Wolf, and I believe you would like to know about the experience I had at your business, AutoImage. I visited your business for the first time yesterday, 04 June 2021, in an effort to get a quote for some custom graphics for my Polaris Slingshot. My son and I met with Braden, and we discussed the design I had in mind, along with looking at my Slingshot in order to get a good idea with what was going to be involved. I showed Braden the design (a Viking pattern) that is tattooed on my arm that I would like put onto both sides of the hood on my Slingshot. He said it was doable, and should not be too difficult. I then showed him on my phone the original drawing I had from when I got the tattoo, and he said that should make it even easier. The drawing I had was going to have to be formed to the curve of my hood, so some tweaking and redesign was going to be necessary. We went back inside, and he said due to a backlog of vinyl graphics jobs, it might be a few weeks before he could get to it. I asked for a quote, and he said $175-$200 should be close. I told him that sounds great and I will get back in touch as soon as I'm ready to schedule it. Last night I took some measurements and graphed out the design to scale to the best of my ability to help with the finalization of the design. This way the beginning and ending of the pattern were already figured out. I also decided to only do one side of the Slingshot, not both. Today, 05 June 2021, my son and I returned to AutoImage with the Slingshot again, to set up a time and date, and give Braden the drawing. He again compared the drawing to the Slingshot. We discussed the conversion of my drawing to vinyl in order to correct for irregularities and final fitment to the vehicle. I asked about the possibility of having done before Draggin Main, but he said they were booked until the week after. I acknowledged this and agreed to a 15 June 2021 appointment. I asked for a final quote and if I could pre-pay. He then quoted me $400+. This is where the concern begins. I told him that he quoted me $175-$200 yesterday, and that was working from a design that would need much more work and for both sides of the Slingshot. He said he did not give me a quote. I asked him if he remembered me from yesterday, he said he did, and I once again said he did give me a quote. Braden then said it would not be like him to give a quote like that, and began explaining to me that the drawing I brought in was going to be more work than he thought, and the picture I showed him on my phone was higher quality. I informed him that the picture on my phone was the same thing, a picture of a hand drawn pattern, and that the drawing we had in front of us was actually better. He started to explain how it was going to be more difficult. I told him that the drawing we had there with us would make it easier if anything, not more difficult, because there was no more design choices to make. He then pushed my drawing back to me and said "if it's easy, then you do it". I told him "that got rude real quick". I asked him if he was the owner, and I would like to talk to him. He said no. So I left my contact information for the owner to call me. I noticed you have security cameras in your lobby. Hopefully you have the video and audio of this for verification of the facts. In such a small town, it's unfortunate to have employees represent your business in this way. A Polaris Slingshot is a high profile vehicle that I drive every day the weather is nice, and I have started a small group of us (currently there are 3 of us that work together and have Slingshots, with two others in town), and they are a great way to represent the skills of an auto graphics business.
