I'm going to admit right off the bat that I was so pleasantly surprised. We've been to Benchwarmers before and just thought it was ok. The service can be a bit slow overall, but not terribly so. I love the sports murals on the walls. This time I got the bone in wings because it was $1 per wing night. I got mostly drums and they were big. The breading was SO crispy and the chicken was juicy. It was honestly the best cooked plate of wings I've had in awhile. I got Parmesan garlic and teriyaki (I was sharing with kids who don't like spicy). The Parmesan garlic was not bad but not really to my taste. It was a bit vinegar-y(sour). The teriyaki was good but sweeter than I expected. I'm looking forward to trying more flavors. I also got a BLT salad also. It was a good size salad, good overall but I didn't like how tiny the bacon was, it's mostly a personal texture preference for that. read more

Order from this place bc I was told their pretzel pizza is really good. I did a take out order with the pizza, mozzerella sticks, & their garlic cheese bread. The mozzerella sticks were alright. You can't go wrong with garlic cheese bread. The pizza? ITS OVER HALF CRUST. The tiny pizza part was actually good tasting. But the fact that they sold a pizza like this is just ridiculous. I should have checked it before I left since the place was 30 mins from home. The lady at the counter was nice and the place has a nice big spacious inside. Only recommendation I can make if you do order from here is to check your pizza before you leave. Especially if you want to order the pretzel pizza. read more

Grand slam burger was very good. Thick crispy bacon, big crispy onion ring and a toasted brioche bun. The patty was large and flavorful. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Service was great. We also got a pizza with ground sausage. The crust was a little dense, sauce is sweet than tangy, the cheese was nicely browned on the top. read more

I don't come here often, but this was the place to go after a long day lol I stopped in about two weeks ago with the bestie for a quick dinner. There were a few groups of people there . The vibe is generally the same, super warm and friendly . They had a 2$ drink special going. I don't remember the name of the it but it was made with tequila, Sprite and some grenadine I believe ... it was delicious. My server Brandy W. was incredibly polite and lovely . I ordered the Fried Green Tomato BLT and my friend ordered the shrimp alfredo. For starters we had the fried pickles which never disappoint. I couldn't decide between fries (I love their fries ) and tots and they let me order both with no up charge (I appreciated that) everything was piping hot and brought out in a timely manner. Our server did wonderful coming to check on us but not hovering . There wasn't a rush to be done quickly and I enjoyed just taking my time to conversate and laugh. I really appreciate how nice things have been each time I've visited. I didn't grab a pic of my friends food because she TUCKED in quickly lol I don't blame her lol. The BLT had fried green tomatoes of course, bacon , lettuce and pimento cheese.. yes you heard me right .. it was DELIGHTFUL! My total came out to 39.55. Thank you guys so much! Decided to try this place since it was new and really close to our home. We were greeted quickly by a friendly young lady. My husband ordered the fried green tomatoes do an appetizer. Not my thing really. They give you quite a bit though, with a side of ranch. Sadly, it's not the "good" ranch. If you are a real ranch fan like me, you'll know what I mean. Unfortunately, the croutons were awful. They tasted like they were fried in oil that wasn't hot enough and just completely absorbed all the oil. I actually had to spit it out! I ordered the side salad and battered chicken sandwich. I know I should've ordered a grilled item since this place literally has grill in its name, but I wasn't in the mood for that. Traveling to a friends lake house near Willard, we were stopping for gas, and dropped in for some food. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare, the tomatoes were fresh, and my wife's grilled chicken was flavorful, and not over cooked - hard dislike for over cooked, well anything.... Just utterly awful. I went last Monday while I was in town to visit family. I was the only person sitting at the beer, and it still took ten minutes just to be asked for my drink order. I then waited a full hour and a half before my food arrived - and not only was their pulled pork the most pathetic excuse for a pulled pork that I've ever seen, it was missing the fries. I got the boneless wings I ordered, but they will hard as rocks and barely edible. I finished my food, and waited another 20 minutes to get the check. At no point did anyone ask how anything was. No questions if my drink was good, if the food was good, or correct. Not my server, not the bartender, and not the cashier. I had to ask and they told me they were short staffed from people calling off. Apparently the management does nothing to prevent that and passes the buck to their customers. A tremendously awful experience and I will not be coming back on future trips to NW Indiana. Consolation prize: during the 90 minute wait of my food, a gentleman sat at the bar near me and asked how it was. I informed him of the terrible service and we chatted for a minute as he recommended some good local places. After a few minutes he still hadn't been served and he walked out. read more

Trinity took care of us and she was adamant I try the blue cheese, I am very picky when it comes to blue cheese so I was initially hesitant. Man am I glad I trusted her; it was phenomenal. I tried the new restaurant on a Wednesday, middle of the week and it wasn't too busy. The boneless wings my other family ordered were fine but I ordered the shrimp dinner(at a much higher cost) and it was gross! They were soggy and they tasted like someone had put malt vinegar on them which I can't stand. $12 bucks wasted and still have to find something to eat. Just nasty..... restaurants are going to have trouble staying afloat if you can't serve decent food for what your charging. read more
