Bourbon Alert. Hold Please. Great neighborhood bar. Excellent cheeseburgers and wings and selection of craft and 'regular' beers. Great selection of well drinks. But hold-up. On the back row they have Blade and Bow, Blanton's, Eagle Rare and Booker's bourbon. Yes, please.

Boneless wings that were supposedly in garlic parm sauce.

If I could give this establishment negative stars, I would. We ordered online. We were given a 15 minute wait time. We get there and the food is not done. We waited 35 more minutes for the "waitress" to tell us ten more minutes. 20 minutes later we are told they don't have sweet potato fries...10 more minutes. What in the actual!?!?!? Finally, we get the food almost an hour and a half after we ordered(on a Sunday...I would hate to see the wait times Friday or Saturday). In the entire time we waited the waitress only worked about 10 minutes. Instead, she muttered crappy things about people having to wait, texting on her phone and chitchatting with her friends at a table about how her friends use strap-ons(WTH). There were kids coming in and out. Her personal hygiene also left A LOT of room for improvement. Soap and water and clean clothes are the bare minimum she could do before going to work. Super inappropriate workplace or general public behavior. Her time would have been better spent helping in the kitchen or cleaning. We asked the waitress about the website giving incorrect wait times and she said the owner controls that(so it's purposefully misleading). We ordered southwest egg rolls, boneless wings, sweet potato fries, and fried pickles. Why on earth would they keep telling us ten minutes? I felt like refusing the food once it was done because I was so annoyed. They continued to LIE about when our food would be done SEVERAL TIMES while we were in the restaurant. The place looks nothing like the photos online or I never would have ordered in the first place. What a dump. Looks similar to a run down single wide "manufactured home". I would be incredibly embarrassed to own or work at this establishment. Shame on JJ's Sideout Bar and Grill. Tiny portions of crappy food is not worth 5 minutes of my time let alone 90 minutes.

Green Olive burger. With potato wedges. Great food. A++

Great experience here. I ordered the green olive burger. It took a long time... like about 30 minutes. But it was really worth it. You can tell they have a lot of pride about their quality here. And they put the olives underneath the melted cheese, which I've never had before and liked it a lot. Potato wedges were great too.

Small appetizer sampler. It was very generous & filling!!

This is our go to place when we are in town from Chicago. Awesome food just doesn't give this place justice. Service is friendly and impeccable!!! This place had me at hello!!!

We had a 1/4 pounder and a pizza burger. They were ok, but nothing to write home about. BUT.... we ordered appetizers that were awesome! Cauliflower, mushrooms, green beans, & broccoli & cheese all perfectly fried up & came with dips. We ate every last piece & it was a huge to go box. Fries were good. We tried to order a chicken sandwich, but were told they were out of chicken, so maybe next time we can get one. I would go here for the appetizers alone....they were that good.

They were pretty much out of every item on the menu and I believe we were there for two hours only due to how slow service was

On a recent family trip, it was suggested that we stop in for a late lunch. Given that it was a holiday and a lack of other options in the area, I went along. When you first step inside, you'll notice that it wants so hard to be an Irish sports bar. Lots of sports memorabilia and statues accompany cheesy, over-done Irish slogans and designs. With its location, the sports angle is a logical slant. I get it. However, this is no Irish pub. One section of the restaurant is elegant, with linen napkins and beautiful dark wood trim. Its appearance is reminiscent of Victorian age dining and probably more typical of a finer resort-style atmosphere. Another section is a little less fancy, with white tablecloths and a more casual appearance. A third option, where we dined, is in the sports bar area, complete with patio and view of the golf course. The menu is fairly typical pub fare: burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, and appetizers. I didn't see anything that stood out. With the exception of a shepherd's pie, it also lacked curry fries, which was disappointing, given the facade of an Irish pub. Right off the bat, I suspected we were in for a lacking experience when we were told that the staff was short-handed due to the holiday. I initially cut them a bit of slack because I understood. However, that's where my forgiveness ended. Our server, apparently covering the entire place, won no points when she took our drink orders and couldn't tell us what they had on tap for beers, nor did she have a list. The group ordered a few appetizers, including wings. For my meal, I opted for a turkey burger with avocado. The wings were barely flavored, except with too much salt and the only redeeming qualities were that they were crispy and served with both ranch and blue cheese dressing. The celery was even a tad soggy. My turkey burger was served to me with an added note that they were out of avocado. Had I been told that from the beginning, I would've ordered something else. The burger was peppery and also quite salty and the bun barely stood up to the challenge of keeping my tomato in place. The sodium levels gave me a hint that it was probably a frozen, low-quality patty. Ick. I drank far too much soda and water to try to keep my heart rate down for the rest of the day. The fries were also nothing special and also likely frozen items. The plus of the place is that the patio does have a pretty view of the golf course. If you like golf courses, that is. Other than that, it's a way to enjoy the outside and there are a lot of tables and room to walk around. If you're looking for a place to park yourself for some drinks and conversation this may just be the spot for you. I'd consider giving the other dining options a chance, though I wouldn't count on seeing me here anytime soon. Otherwise, if you do, I've been driving around the area looking for something resembling civilization and was hungry or drug along for family time when I'm not the decision-maker.

They have a nice menu for now, planning on expanding for the summer. Cocktails need some work, more rum choices, a blender for some drinks, and blue cheese stuffed olives. They asked what we thought they should have, if they listened they will get a 5 star review. Great atmosphere, beautiful view, the patio will be perfect in the summer. This could be our new happy hour stop.
