Date of visit: April 14, 2026 We were going to stop during Free Cone Day but the line outside this store before our Broadway show was at least two blocks long (though staff inside said it really only took about 20 minutes to get through the line--though that seems like more rough estimate than actuality) and we didn't have the time and after our show the promotion ended. Since we had stopped in, we decided to get something anyway and ended up with some milkshakes. Americone Dream is my current favorite but I don't think it really lends itself to a shake so well, and I went with my original Ben & Jerry's flavor instead: Cherry Garcia. It was as good as I had remembered! My traveling companions did a dairy free cookie dough (I had a taste and enjoyed it) and a strawberry. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and all pitched in to get us our items quickly, which we really appreciated on our last night in New York. The store is nothing special and isn't very big, so don't plan on hanging out here afterwards--there's really no place to sit! read more

I experienced Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day for the first time today. It was unusually hot out for this time of year and was the perfect day for a scoop of ice cream. When I arrived before 3pm, the line was wrapped around the corner. It moved very quickly, though, and took less than 15 min for me to get my free ice cream. The space inside wasn't very big, with no dine-in area, but this location is in Times Square, so there are places nearby to sit outside if you wanted to. They had a variety of flavors to choose from, with a menu taped near the entrance. Even though it is free "cone" day, we also had the option to choose a cup. Today is Ben & Jerry's Free Cone day! The word "free" is magical and this year I was determined to have a free scoop of ice cream. I came to the Times Square location and found quite a long queue of eager customers. Undeterred, I stood in line and surprisingly it moved quickly. Inside there were four scoopers and the menu of flavors was stuck on the walls outside. Strawberry Cheesecake on a cone was my choice. Dennison, the guard/bouncer outside who doesn't like this chilled dessert helped me down as the step was fairly high probably to deter would be ice cream thieves! The store had the air blasted on this 99 degree day, it was a nice way to stay cool before we even got our ice cream. I got the marshmallow sky and chunky monkey- both really good and complimented each other well. Would definitely recommend both! Summer has officially arrived in NYC, and what better way to celebrate than ice cream... i went to a Broadway play yesterday, and when i came outside it was blazing! So ice cream was the best thing to have to beat the heat. You can really miss this place if you're not paying attention. The service was good. They don't do samples tho, which sucked! lol. I ordered cookie dough chocolate chip, and another flavor i can't remember. It was good tho.. be mindful that everything in Times Square is hiked up in prices. For a small, which is what i got, it was almost $10! Insane!! But, it was so good, and totally worth it. They have no where to sit, so we went to the Ticketmaster stairs to eat it. I haven't had Ben and Jerry's in a very long time so it was a sweet treat when I came across it when I was in Times Square. Disappointing part is that you cannot try any of the flavors which is inconvenient. I'm glad the flavor I picked was delicious. The small cup/cone comes with two scoops so I got their strawberry cheesecake flavor. It was creamy and tasted a lot like cheesecake. There is nowhere to sit inside the location but there are a couple of small benches outside for you to sit to enjoy your icecream. read more

Who doesn't like Ben and Jerry's? Although, they have their usual flavors, it's always a treat to stop in. They currently do not give samples or have indoor seating, but the walk walk to the train station isn't far. Also their prices are on par with Times Square. My favorite Ben & Jerry's is American Dream Cone, but I opted for Salted Caramel Blondie; it was delicious. I hate salted anything, but I'm guessing that the sweet cream Ice cream and the Blondie brownie over powered the salted swirl. I can now add a new flavor to my Ben & Jerry's catalog. read more

He did not have a good answer and then he calls the manager over. He does the same bullshit glance at the coupon and says we cannot take it because some stores take coupons and some don't. Why can't I use my coupon which is meant for the store? I am furious because it was a coupon that we got in New York ! The workers here sucked. A Ben and Jerry's scoop shop should be a happy experience with smiles all around! Unfortunately, the guy behind the counter didn't speak much, was grumpy when I asked to try a flavor, then plain rude when I asked where the closest bathroom in the area was. I can go across the street and get a pint of Ben and Jerry's for less than the small in this shop, but I took my wife (for her birthday) because she loves the scoop shops. The last thing I wanted was "hey, do you know of any bathrooms in the area!?" "No. No bathrooms." Thanks. (As for the ice cream, I got Sweet like Sugar and Totally Baked. Totally was disappointing and not chunky at all, with wayyyyy to much chocolate and very little contrasting taste. Sweet like sugar was really tasty, and a flavor I had never tried or seen. Wow, they are fast, friendly and app is good. I put in my allergy and they actually followed up with it. The nice thing was they added it to every item. But I was ordering for other people without my allergy so when I clarified that, they proceeded. I really appreciated that. I love that you can eat outdoors and they are already set up for pandemic times. There was also a guy constantly wiping down/sanitizing tables. Signs on all tables stating not to move tables or chairs to ensure social distancing. It was a perfect break for a warm Aug day! The guys working were nice and i enjoyed a quick chat with them. Had to give this location a 4/5 because their service was extra good on Free Cone Day! The line reached the end of the block on 7th ave but it took only 5-10mins to get in and out with my free scoop of ice cream. I tried their sole dairy-free flavor, Caramel Almond Brittle, which is made with almond milk. The brittle was delicious but I wasn't a fan of the almond flavoring. The base tastes very similar to an Almond Joy candy bar, so if you fancy that flavor then this ice cream is perfect. read more
