When I arrived at this shop with my granddaughter and the person behind the counter was chilling in a chair engaging with her phone and didn't ask if she could help us or anything. At one point, after being there about two minutes just viewing the products in the case the person said, without looking up from her phone, let me know when you're ready. I said, I'm ready!!! I bought five cupcakes and called it a day. I hope their customer service changes or I won't be supporting them.

I was headed to Howard Beach and this was a top Yelp suggestion. There were all kinds of wonderful goodies that made for some great holiday boxes to drop off on my next few stops. There was a wide variety of chocolate covered Oreos with turkeys, leaves, pilgrims and cornucopia. Graham crackers and Rice Krispies were also dipped and decorated. And, God, I wish I had saved a chocolate and sprinkle-covered Twinkie for myself!! Everything was tucked into unique pink boxes, which helps these treats stand out from the usual bakery fare. Next time I'm going for the chocolate pizzas, cupcakes, and beautifully decorated cakes. The young lady behind the counter was also the baker and she could not have been nicer. She was so helpful! I was here at this location in Chelsea Market very recently for a chocolate walking tour with Shorewalkers, along with Läderach, Lint (as it was on the way,) 'Royce, and Mariebelle. The staff here were friendly, handling our large group as well as the multitude of tourists and others visiting this location. This was one of our later spots, and because of their pricing, I bought a quarter pound of their Dark Chocolate Cashew Chews. This came with a small handful of pieces and was a bit over $13, as half a pound is $25. As the name suggests, the base is dark chocolate, with the rest being chopped cashews and caramel. The chocolate was of good quality, being just bitter enough but not too much, and the texture was nice. The caramel wasn't too sweet, and the cashews added a good little crunch. It was a tasty though expensive treat. Some other spots are cheaper or similarly priced with slightly better quality, but I understand the price point is partly because they still make their treats in NYC. This is unlike some of the other spots, which have moved out to Vermont or other places like L.A. Burdick and others.
