If you're a Senior citizen you will be taken advantage of! Left my job to go take care of another job 10 minutes after Matt got there! Left their unlicensed helper there to scrape caulking off the side of the bathtub for 1hr & 20min. That was put on the inside by Matt to keep helper busy! Wasn't there before. Then used brand new washcloths to wipe down copper saudering & hid them behind bathroom curtain so I couldn't find them! Left before cleaning up. Water all over the floor! And under window dripping because of the wet washcloth. Failed to caulk around plate to seal it to keep water out from behind wall! Failed to screw shower head, handle, etc. Charged me illegally, before doing the job and then failed to do the job. They have 3 different addresses to try to get ahold of them!! Which is correct!! They claim all these great reviews??? Yet I only found one from over 8 year's ago! I called another company, Prodigy Plumbing came over same day and fixed everything for free!! They are good plumbers. However follow up is poor and if the job requires some creativity that will be too much work for them and they will give you a story. One of their plumbers just went 180 degrees on what they said they can do and then proceeded to speak down to me like I am a five year old. I have used them several times over several years. We live in a house built in 1929... still have the original beautiful farmhouse sink in our kitchen... with the not so beautiful and original plumbing. Our kitchen sink has the original faucet handles with gaskets that were so worn that the water ran 24/7. We called Belmont Plumbing to fix the faucet, swap out several water spigots on our property, and a install a toilet kit. The Belmont Plumbing team came out and assessed the job. It turned out to be a two day job given that the kitchen sink faucet handles were rare and required a special type of gasket. Day one, the team was able to address the exterior spigots but have to return date to to install the new toilet kit and kitchen sink gaskets. All of the installations are functioning absolutely perfect and we are delighted with the results that Belmont plumbing performed. Living in an old house with original plumbing means that there is constantly some type of a plumbing issue occurring. We're delighted that we found Belmont plumbing and look forward to working with them in the future! read more

When the weather got cold, I tried turning on our old school floor heater. Nothing. I had it serviced a year ago, so I called the guy who did that work. Crickets. Not even a return call to tell me he was too busy, etc. After calling a bunch of plumbing and heating companies,, I found that very few, if any, still work on floor heaters. Luckily, I found Belmont Plumbing. I spoke to Renee, who told me they were swamped with work, but promised to put me on the list and get to me as soon as they could. Renee call me today and told me Matt was available and he was there not too long after. He checked the heater and determined all it needed was a new thermostat, which he had with him. Within an hour, my heater was up and running again. I appreciate that Matt observed COVID-19 precautions and did the work in a highly professional manner. Our experiences with Belmont Plumbing have been wonderful! Usually when you have plumbing or other home repairs it's stressful and expensive, especially when you have a 97 year old home. Our first experience was last summer when one of our visitors stopped up our toilet. Matt and Dan came out and were so professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I can't give a higher recommendation to Matt and his crew for coming to my rescue in a crisis situation! I live in a charming, but needy little vintage house built in 1927. Unfortunately, the plumbing is mostly original, with deteriorating pipes, which decided to present a geyser on my front lawn. In a serendipitous gift of the universe, a Belmont Plumbing truck was in the neighborhood. I followed it in my car for three blocks, honking like a crazy stalker. Matt pulled over, listened to my story, told me he would go straight over and turn off the water. The diagnosis was major surgery. The water could not be turned back on. He gave me an estimate and within an hour had a crew show up, who worked tirelessly. It was a major job, but everything was completed by afternoon the next day. Belmont Plumbing operates out of a house in the Wrigley neighborhood of Long Beach. In August 2017 we wanted an estimate on plumbing construction. Proprietor Matt Grayley arrived more than 20 minutes after the appointed time. Without going into the crawl space under the house to look at the pipes (which are attached to the floor joists), Mr. Grayley said that we need a copper re-pipe to avoid a lot of problems in "one or two years". He had to retract that statement later, after his employee went under the house and found the galvanized supply lines to be in good condition. (Grayley did not mention the corroded wastewater lines under the bathroom. Did his man miss seeing them?) He talked about "electrolysis" at copper-to-steel joints, when he should probably have talked about "galvanic corrosion" aka "bi-metal corrosion". When his $5,600 estimate finally arrived nearly two weeks after his second visit, it was vague about how many hours of labor would be needed. It requested $3,800 to install pipe of unstated length, diameter, material and insulation in a trench that we, the homeowners, would dig and fill afterwards. We told him the work would be done under a permit from City Hall, asked him to reduce the scope of the work and write a more detailed estimate, including month of projected completion. He declined "due to many prior commitments". (If he knew of many prior commitments, why did he bid the job?) We wasted three weeks on Belmont and won't call them again. read more
