Avoid this mechanic. I brought my car here after experiencing white smoke from the engine that I was convinced was a blown head gasket. Mechanic said that it was my ignition coils so recommended changing ALL SIX which was unnecessary but I went with their diagnosis. Still had same issue and brought it straight back for them to tell me I had a leaky injector to replace that was causing the problem. Mechanic insisted it wasn't the head gasket, despite the smell of coolant and white smoke. Came back for third time less than a week later with the same issues and they checked the work under warranty they already did, replaced two ignition coils, and still insisted it wasn't my head gasket. Drove away and the same issues persisted after a large bill. Took it to another mechanic and they diagnosed it within the first 10 minutes of me explaining the symptoms. Second shop did the work at a reasonable rate and they were shocked by work performed by Belmont Auto Clinic. Overall, could have saved a lot of money by not going here in the first place. Prices are very high for quality of service. read more

Had my catalytic converter stolen so I reached out to Belmont Auto Clinic along with 4 other places in the area. The quote I received from them was much lower than the rest. Took it in the same day I called and picked up my car the next day. It's been about 2 weeks and no issues have come up. This was about as smooth of a process I've ever had with any car troubles. They were extremely easy to work with, transparent, and very affordable (their quote was $300 cheaper than the next highest). Hope my car troubles are behind me but if anything else arises I will for sure take it back to Belmont Auto Clinic. Highly recommended! read more

He said what was wrong and the price which was WAY cheaper then I expected.. I authorized the work and met a new furry friend Max! I was also offered hot tea and coffee. They were fast and efficient. I came to the the Belmont Auto Clinic to get a brake light changed. I first went to Firestone and they tried to charge me $100 to replace it ‍. I was having a rough day and when I pulled up I was greeted so kindly by a man whose name I did not catch. He was so welcoming and said they could totally take care of the brake light. They generously wiped some scuffs off my car and changed the brake light in a matter of minutes. They must have felt my frazzled chaotic energy and said it was free of charge! I've brought my car to Belmont Auto Clinic for a few different issues (rack and pinion replacement, steering pump replacement, wheel bearing, intake gasket) and everything has been taken care of properly. The costs are pretty low and they work quickly, but they really seem to know what they're doing. I've had to take my car back once or twice to have something tweaked after a repair and there have never been any complaints. Tony actually took 2-3 hours today to double check an install after it wasn't steering correctly, at no cost. I'd definitely recommend stopping in. My only complaint is they forget to turn off the Open sign on Sundays from time to time, and I forget they're closed and stand there like a jack-a-ninny. And that's more on me. read more

I have reviewed this shop before, but I feel the need to provide an update. Repairs shops might not have the best reputation because of some bad apples. However, Tony and his staff know exactly what they are doing. In the vehicle repair business, the customer has to be patient, because vehicles are complicated, especially with new technology. Someone who posted a bad review here clearly doesn't understand the complexity of vehicle repairs. Also, some customers don't take care of their cars so when an honest mechanic like Tony tells them the truth, they can't handle it. They jump to conclusions. The one bad review here on yelp is due to a user who does not understand the nature of vehicle repairs. Do you want it done correctly? Do you want to save lots of money by avoiding the dealership? Then please give this shop a chance. Or you can go to a dealership and pay twice as much. This shop runs efficiently, so the savings are passed on to the customer. read more

A disrespectful and unprofessional place of business. Initially, the owner lured us in by saying he was an "honest" guy, and that the wheel bearing replacement would only take 4 hours. We agreed on a good price and dropped the vehicle off the following day. As soon as we dropped off the vehicle, the owner said that they actually needed the car overnight. We picked up the vehicle the next day, which at that point, he tried to charge us $100 more than we initially agreed on. We called him out on it, and he honored our initial agreement. As soon as we brought the car home, the breaks stalled and 3 emergency lights came on (ABS system, VSA system and power steering control). I took the car in immediately, which he then told me one of the ABS sensors needed to be replaced. Not sure why he failed to mention this initially? When we asked why the sensor failed their test, the owner could not give us a straight answer. He kept telling us to "stop worrying", and that "everything is fine". The owner continually brushed off our questions with extremely lengthy and unclear explanations that didn't answer any of our questions. He insisted the fix would be a quick 15 minutes. We took the car in the next morning, only to be told that they needed to order a different replacement part. It took over 4 hours of waiting for them to tell us that the initial replacement part did not work. All we wanted was a clear explanation of what to anticipate, yet he kept telling us that we were "being impatient". An extremely rude owner, and I would not recommend anyone bringing their business here. read more

I just had an inspection so, although I can't speak to the quality of the work (yet), I can speak somewhat to the character of the folks running it. The experience was great. I brought in a MB SUV with an odd electrical issue that seemed like it was related to a battery or a starter. The battery was only 7 months old and had checked out okay at my local AutoZone, so I was bracing myself for a bigger expense (e.g., starter). I found Tony and Belmont Auto Clinic through a yelp quote, was a bit concerned they had few reviews, but with a free inspection I thought what the heck. Within 30 mins of the inspection, Tony called me and told me the battery was bad. No charge. He was honest about the issue, and because of that, they've won a repeat customer.
