The past several years have led us to the conclusion that (deep breath) Al Gore may have actually been right (another deep breath) on the whole global warming thing . . . it just seems to be getting warmer, and August/September have had some hot doozies the last year or two. My solution? A home a/c system. Our fear? Getting ripped off. Enter Belluz! A work colleague recommended Belluz, after another colleague mentioned Greg Belluz was a family relation, a great guy, and an honest businessman. Our buddy had gotten an estimate from a local (Santa Maria) business for nearly $10K. He called Belluz, and they came in at less than half the first estimate! Apparently, the first business was recommending an a/c system that would have been suitable for a home that was twice the size. We called Belluz and left a voicemail. They called back in a timely manner and we arranged for a visit to get an estimate. Greg arrived right on time, spent about 10 minutes surveying our home, and then discussed his proposal. He gave us a verbal estimate, and followed-up w/ a formal estimate via e-mail, two days later. Well within our budget, so we accepted the offer and scheduled an installation date. Again, Greg showed up right on time to do the work, and was finished in under 2 hours. A/C works like a champ!! Our neighbor recommended Belluz so I called them and asked for an estimate. Greg came to our house and inspected our old furnace (probably dating to the 1960s) and we discussed having it replaced. He patiently answered all of my questions and made several recommendations regarding a new furnace. We agreed that a high-efficiency unit was not really necessary in lompoc, which has so few heating days in an average year. I asked for a written proposal with detailed information about the make and model of the proposed new furnace. Greg mailed us the proposal a few days later and we accepted. He set aside a 4-hour block of time on the appointed day, but he and his assistant finished the job in about half the time. Greg also made two minor adjustments to our heating system, to fix two cold spots in our house. So far everything is great. Really good service from a really professional and knowledgeable guy. We couldn't be happier with Belluz! We called them when our older model (1969) wall heater stoped working. I spoke with the owner, Greg and recommended we have the gas company inspect it first (for free). Commonly, most of these older heaters needs to be replaced. It turned out to be a simple repair. We called Belluz the next day and Greg was able to come out within a few hours. Our heater is now working great again! Greg and his wife run a great business. We had our furnace go out on Christmas 2019. Greg came out the next day and had to get the ok to replace it from the prop manager and owner first. Let me know that they would t be able to replace it until the following Monday! Fought with prop manager to find someone who could do it earlier as it was so cold at night. They got Belluz to agree to install new furnace on 12-28-19. Upon his arrival Greg was very rude. He completed his job in 2 hours and when I thanked him he was VERY snarky and rude and told me, don't thank me, thank your prop manager cause if it wasn't for him I wasn't going to come. We had an issue with the wall heater at our rental property on a Friday. Since it was cold out, and our tenants just moved in, we really needed someone to check out the problem as soon as possible. I called a few heating places in town but they could not make it to assess the problem until the following week. When I called Belluz the very nice Receptionist said that they were also booked but would reach out to the Service Tech and to hang on for just a minute. Within just a few mintues, Greg, the Technician was at the rental property and up on the roof in no time. Our 53 year old furnace finally called it quits as soon as our evenings started to get cold. Called Belluz and they responded the same day, in fact the owner stopped by on his way home to try to repair it. He determined that it was beyond repair and needed to be replaced. I called Greg for a quote for central air conditioning and a new heater at my house and he showed up the next day. He walked me through all the ins and outs of the process and answered all my questions. He had a very reasonable price quote to me within a few days and started work on the install shortly after. He was very professional during the install and took extra care to respect the interior of my home so that nothing was damaged by moving equipment in and out. The install was finished the same day and we had air conditioning for the middle of the Lompoc heat waves in September and October. Greg Belluz did a GREAT job installing a forced air heater in my home. I had the old wall unit kind that was original to the house from 1958. I received two other bids. One that a vendor at Costco and one was a vendor for Home Depot. Besides the bids being more than twice the amount of Greg's, they both had two different ideas of where to install the heater. One was in the garage, which would have taken up valuable space. The other one had me hiring a separate contractor, to build a large frame in the ceiling, and also having the contractor cut holes in the ceiling for the vents! I have popcorn ceilings, and they refused to cut through them for fear of asbestos. Thank goodness I found Belluz heating and air conditioning! He gave an estimate, stuck with the price, and completed the job in one day. Greg and his helper were both professional, personable, respectful, tidy and skilled. I have no complaints.
