This was my first time visiting this barbershop, and I'm very happy with the experience. I stopped in for a haircut and met Carlos, who was professional, attentive, and communicated with me very well. I wasn't exactly sure what style I wanted, but Carlos took the time to look at my face shape and consider my age and professional appearance. He explained what would suit me best and recommended a haircut that would give me a clean, mature, and polished look. I really appreciated his attention to detail and the fact that he didn't just give me a standard haircut--he actually listened and gave me professional advice. Today was my first visit to bello for my 3 year old son when i had such a hard time finding him a place to get a good cut ,everywhere i brought him just never did it to where i liked it even a little and always had to go back with a problem ,well here i come into bello booked with senior Andrew when i tell you my sons hair came out PERFECT!!! I cant stop looking at him, Andrew took his time cut hair like I've never seen before with every inch ,i will absolutely be back.. book with Andrew if you want a fresh cut for your little boy not to mention the owner Daniel :) was so nice and welcoming once i walked through the door ,front desk was super sweet too . I know it's a guy's barber shop but I just needed to even out my hair as it grows in from chemo. The place is great. The guys are super friendly. It's decorated very nicely - big TV - expresso machines etc. Chairs are old school barber chairs and were super comfy. If I were a guy, this would be the place to go. read more

Always tough going to a new place -- but my barber of many years appears to have retired, so ... no choice. I was the oldest guy in the shop, by probably 30 years -- but everyone was quite cordial, and Carlos did a very professional job. The shop is clean and spacious, and I particularly liked the vintage barber chairs, and the barber pole (when's the last time you saw one of those?) outside -- nice touch! Good location, on Bloomfield Avenue. Parking might be an issue during peak periods, but where isn't it, on Bloomfield Avenue? Looks like I've found a new barber. read more

The best spot, thank god I discovered this place.. the crew there is awesome and they usually have me cracking up... The fade my boy Marco hooks me every 2 weeks is legendary... all the barbers here have skills with the buzzer and scissors. The atmosphere there is great, they usually have a sporting game on, an awesome movie, or they playing some great tunes in the background. The owner Is the man, and the receptionist is a sweetheart. My favorite part is they take appointments. The days of waiting at a barber for hours waiting to be called up is over. All barbers usually finish a cut in 30 minutes or less and it's definitely not rushed at all. Plus the parking situation is very easy. Highly recommended. read more

Dan's been cutting hair as long as I've known him, since 2003. From long to short hair, he's fully capable of any style you request or need. And in the chance Dan's not available, any of his other talented barbers can do the job. I've been to Clay in addition to Dan, and have seen plenty of haircuts by his other barbers, Bello can get the job done right the first time and everytime. The atmosphere is welcoming, and family like. I'll go in 20-30 minutes early just to catch up. Always great seeing the people here. read more

First person to greet me in the doorway is the owner. I get the exact cut I want, and I relax with a cigar or in a comfy leather seat. There's no claustrophobia. I have looked all over for a good mans barber shop and one as I was stopped on Bloomfield Ave I saw this place and saw they give hot towel shaves which I am a huge fan and the place is great. I finally found a place to get a hot towel shave and a great haircut. The only problem is the place is so good that it takes a week and a half to get an appointment with Dan. Ive been coming here since day one. Met a barber named Carlos here and he never disappointed. Were talking about latest fashion haircuts here people. Basically anything you want done on your head can be accomplished here. If youre more on the classic side, they also have you covered. Great spot for a haircut. I decided to finally give it a shot after it had been recommended to me numerous times from friends who went there. Danny, the owner is a very nice and friendly guy who wants to run a shop with the customers interests in mind before anything else. Tara is the girl at the front desk who was more than helpful with explaining to me the order of the cuts that day (for I was a walk in, at Bello walk ins are welcome but appointments are recommended). I waited about an hour to get my cut (which I expected as a walk in in a mainly appointment shop) So I definitely recommend making an appointment ahead of time. Carlos was the barber who cut my hair. He was very personal and entertaining for the length of my cut. More importantly, Carlos was one of the most talented barbers I've ever been to. The cut I left the shop with was the best I've ever gotten in my life. Overall, I was very pleased with my first impression of the place and the talk is well worth it. I recommend this place to all guys I know whether it's for a haircut, a shape up, or just to get their beard trimmed. read more
