Hey everyone! Let me shed some personal light on Catch Canine Academy, what I did, how things went, and my opinion of the academy. For starters, I attended the Master's class with a mentor. The way I looked at it, in the beginning, was that if I was going to spend the money, spend the money and get the title. Never was I pushed in one way or another when I was signing up, only given their experiences on how excellent the program was over the phone. When the day came to sign up, it was easy, and they walked me through the process. My first box of learning materials was sent to me within a few days. (I had immediate access to the online portal to start reading that day) Now speaking in terms of the master class, the learning was extensive. The tests were complex. I found myself going through a vast set of emotions as I continued, from sadness, anger, confusion, and overjoyed. All these emotions had to do with what I was learning. Also, with how things radiated within my life with the dogs I have now and had in the past. I have lived alongside dogs all my life, which is why I had such an elaborate emotional twist within my learning. You may be asking, "But why Amy? Why all the emotions? It is dog training, after all." Well, this curriculum doesn't only teach you about training a dog. It teaches you so much more. Some things will be hard to read but are placed within, so you know what it is, how it works, and why it is a bad idea. Vague, yes, no spoilers! Let's say you will have a new outlook on dogs, breeds, breeders, animal shelters, people, and lots more by the time you are done. Now throughout this extensive curriculum, I was paired with a Program Director. I don't know the other program directors within Catch, but I do know that Morgan was the absolute best! She listened to what I had to say and helped me see the other side of things if I couldn't see them myself. I took her on trips down rabbit holes of "What if's" situations that she happily assisted me with, and if she didn't know, she asked other people. She made my experience so much better! I had a personal phone call with her a few times a month, and I could email any questions at any time. If she wasn't in the office, another Program Director would jump in and give me an answer to my questions. I never felt like I was going through this program alone. They give you that person in your corner if you don't have one at home, and they will be there even if you start to doubt yourself. Shadowing my mentor- I learned SO much just watching another trainer! Trust me; you want this part; it is crucial in many ways. This part of the program was a lot of fun and allowed me to show off what I had learned and gain confidence. Plus, hearing from a dog trainer that you are doing a great job makes you push on harder. Is this legit? That is a question I asked myself initially, and I want to tell you it is. Within minutes of getting my final exam results, I had my digital diploma, and within a few days, I had my physical certificate. I can officially add CCDT to my name and start training dogs! Do I feel ready? YES! The knowledge you will gain from this course will give you the ability to move forward as a dog trainer and see things from the point of view (Or understanding of how the dog thinks/learns) of the dog. Do you know how cool that is? Should you sign up?- Do it. Just do it, and don't look back. Let me tell you, not only did I become a dog trainer, I became a better dog owner with this program. I became more neutral to those around me with dogs and their decisions, and I am no longer a stickler on some things I had been. All in all, this program will change your life for the better. This program will give you a new outlook on dogs, how their minds work, how to train them, and how to train humans. Oh yeah, you have to learn how to handle the owners too. I am leaving out all the super important parts of the program on purpose, those things you need to discover on your own as you dive into the program. It is not easy, it is a lot of reading and understanding, but it is 100% worth every penny. Oh, and buy a bookshelf for all the books they will send you to read in the master class. You will need it! After attending college and majoring in Psychology, I realized I wasn't putting the skills God had given me to good use...and I was ignoring my passion completely for what I felt was expected of me by family. I decided that I was going to do something for myself-become a dog trainer and help dogs in shelters. I needed this badly, and I couldn't rest until I did something about it. I began looking on-line at different programs but I couldn't find something I felt fit my needs. The program's I came across seemed to be more focused on the money, and each time I called to speak with someone, I wound up talking to machines. Then, I came across CATCH's website, and instantly knew this program had what I was looking for! All of the information was clearly stated, there were no gimmicks, no false hope, but pure dedication to help those who wanted it badly enough. I submitted my request for more information, believing I'd just receive a pamphlet in the mail, but I was quickly surprised to recieve a phone call from someone who knew every answer to my questions. She understood my concerns, did not push for me to sign up but rather encouraged me to take time to consider the program. CATCH had everything I needed-LIVE support, FLEXIBILITY so I could still work full-time, DEDICATION from the staff who always check in, answer questions, design a way to explain things so that I fully understand the material, and a PROGRAM that would help me fulfill my dream of helping dogs who sadly find themselves at a shelter. I decided to enroll in the Master's Program and was sent my materials quickly. There was no waiting around, as I could also access the materials at the Student Center online. The combination of books, video's and access to a Program Director have made the program enjoyable, understandable, and given me priceless information! I also love that when I need to email my Program Director, she contacts me within the hour, or sooner. When I call in, I'm greeted by a person, not a recording. The only student ID I have is to access my online materials. I'm always greeted by name, and they know exactly who I am. I've never had to give them a number or access code to have my emails or questions answered. I also never feel rushed when asking questions or asking them to explain things in a different way. I had worked with animals nearly my entire life from Veterinarian offices, a shelter, and a pet store, plus having my own animals, and felt I was knowledgeable enough in the area, but found myself amazed at how little I really did know and understand about training dogs! The program has opened my eyes and my mind to an entirely different understanding of man's best friend. I'm going to start working with a professional trainer soon so that I can gain first hand knowledge about working with dogs. This was the only program that offered this! This is so important because it teaches you how to take what you learned and apply it to real life with the guidance of a professional. Upon completion of the program, I'll still have access to my Program Director if I should need her help. I will also be given help when looking into starting my own business. They really do provide the complete package, and don't leave you out in the wind! I personally recommend this program to anyone who is looking to expand upon their knowledge of dogs.The program provides psychology about dogs, clear reasons about behavior, and all the necessary tools to train dogs (and their owners!). I could not be happier with my decision to join CATCH. I choose this school because from the very first phone call they took the time to get to know me, my interests in becoming a dog trainer, my family, and my dogs. They have NEVER given me a student ID number. Every time I email or call on the phone they know me by my name. As staff and as my mentors they are encouraging, motivating, completely knowledgeable, helpful and always available for anything I need, If I call they answer and I've talked on the phone with my program directer for an hour chatting and getting all the answers and advise I need to be the most knowledgeable and informed. At no point did I feel I was taking up too much of their time. They are genuinely there for their students and completely invested in our success. Anytime I email I usually get a phone call or and email reply within the hour if not sooner. They are AMAZING, The curriculum is equally outstanding, I was trained as a dog trainer through PetSmart and now learning everything CATCH has put into their curriculum I am shocked at how much I did not know. I truly do not think there could be a better at home learning program than the one CATCH has created. I am in Phase 7 (out of 10) doing the Master program. In each phase there are book written by the worlds best authority on dog training, animal behavior and learning theory. There are study guide questions for each section of reading assignments. There are also hands on activities to give you extra real life practice. Once you complete a phase your program director emails you you test. It is made up of the study guide questions so there are no surprises and no trick questions. If you do the program with the Mentor package you are assignment to an experienced dog trainer in your area. For the first part you have to shadow the mentor for either 5 private sessions or 6 group classes. This is invaluable if you are becoming a dog trainer because there is so much more you can learn from seeing done hands-on and being able to practice and ask questions. Later the mentor evaluates you on your own training skills. Again I literally do not have one bad comment or even a criticism for anything about CATCH, I kind of wish I did so that I didn't look so one sided but they just haven't given me anything to complain about and I'm pretty sure they won't in the future. (I actually waited to long to write a review because the school and the people felt too good to be true I kept waiting to get scammed!) This school is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to become a trainer or even just learn more about dogs. It is WELL worth the money if you have any interest at all. read more

I am a force free positive reinforcement dog trainer. I want to be professional and knowledgeable. To me, that means I need to be certified. I owe this to the clients who entrust me with such a beloved member of their family. I started looking at other schools and found that some didn't even know what non aversive training techniques were. Some said they were force free but then upon further investigation found out they weren't, at least to my definition. Then I found CATCH!! The first person I spoke to was Becca. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive. She answered all my questions and honored my passion. I knew right away that I had found my school!! Every step of the way has been amazing. The customer service is outstanding!! I can't say enough about everyone I talk with or correspond with using the email portal. When you enroll, you are assigned a program director; mine is Becca of course!! She has been with me every step of the way but what is so awesome is that all the people you speak with at CATCH are right there with you. The system is seamless. Any program director can answer you with the same consistent knowledge that science based positive training methods allow. They all know their stuff and then some!! This is so important when you are learning new techniques and philosophies. You need someone who can explain these concepts to you in a way that will help you understand and instill confidence at the same time. CATCH does this!! The program itself is complete and well rounded. I love the fact that you are gaining your knowledge from many different sources. And, you will have a well rounded library of information to access afterward. The text book is great, the resources on line are relevant. They lay out the program in a win win fashion (just like positive reinforcement training, how great is that!!) making studying very straight forward, but they also hone your critical thinking skills. Depending on what course you take, you are paired with a mentor certified through CATCH to guide you in building your dog training skill sets. Access to the awesome staff sets you up to win!! You can't ask for better than this! I have just completed my Phase 2 of the masters course. I can't tell you how life changing this process has been so far. I have learned tons about dog training, but what was a surprise to me, is how much I have learned about life in general and humans in particular. I am so grateful and proud to have attended CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and highly recommend them to anyone interested in the profession of dog training. It is easy to see why they are so well recognized in the industry as having a standard of excellence. The CATCH Master's program has depth but is meticulously structured to easily follow. The lessons seamlessly build upon each other to develop your knowledge and skills in a sensible way. School Director, David Muriello leads you through the online video lessons and course material. Included are hands-on activities, evaluations and exams which all prompt you to thoroughly review, practice and culminate the information you have studied. The course can be tackled at your own pace and you receive regular support from your personal program director who will remotely guide, advise and keep you on track. Each student is assigned a professional dog training mentor to directly observe in person and to present work to for evaluation. The mentor I was paired with is a certified trainer and group class instructor at St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center. My mentor has been instrumental in fine tuning my knowledge and skill set. Observing and assisting her in person and getting immediate feedback was a most wonderful part of the learning process for me and put everything together and into practice. The mentor experience ties the learning process together in a way that puts you into real life situations to practice your skills. My program director, Megan Esala has been an outstanding support system throughout the process. She was ever available to me and always able to connect with each phase of my progress. Megan helped me to reflect on where I was headed and gave feedback on the next steps. Her insight extends to anything related to dog training that you can think to ask. Megan has been invaluable to my progress and perspective and has helped me beyond coursework to navigate the job market and business options in the dog training world. All the pieces of this program come together brilliantly as a whole to develop you as a dog professional and help you reach your career goals while making each step very accessible and accomplishable. If you're looking for an excellent, accredited institution to study professional dog training, look no further. I researched training institutions for four months before finding the perfect fit. As of writing this review, I'm slightly more than halfway through the Master Class Program. (I started the course two weeks after our COVID lockdown began.) CATCH was my choice due to the reasonable pricing structure, reward-positive focus, and great standing within the dog community. I initially signed up at the Basics Pro level, their mid-tier course offering. It was immediately obvious that the materials were top-notch. I soon upgraded to the Master Class level in order to experience the full program with a mentor, the deeper focus on addressing behavior concerns, and the knowledge I'll be set to take my CPDT-KA certification exam at the end of my studies. WORTH IT!!! The curriculum is well-thought-out and organized. It's incredibly detailed, with practice questions and hands-on activities to help you engage with the materials. The exams absolutely challenge your comprehension of the materials, with both multiple-choice and essay questions later on. Let's talk people. The CATCH staff is HUGELY supportive and passionate. The founder, David Muriello, worked tirelessly the first two months of COVID to bring us informative online webinars in light of the suddenly canceled in-person workshops. (I've since seen the recordings added into the curriculum.) Even if your advisor isn't available when you call or email., the whole crew is happy to help with any questions you might have. I've never had an advisor who was so happy to help advise instead of letting me figure things out on my own. My advisor, Becca has been a huge help getting me through things like my test anxiety and determining where the curriculum can be used to work my dog through her challenges. My mentor has also been a valuable in-person resource, even though we're still about a month out from formally starting the mentorship portion. One of the most important decisions I have made in my life, is to become a dog trainer. The reason it is so important is two-fold. One, it has been my childhood dream and two, it brings forth a complete transformation of my life. When I first starting thinking about breaking into a new career in dog training, I looked at a lot of schools, but CATCH Academy caught my eye (so to speak) because of the curriculum they covered and their affordability. I also liked them because it was a work-at-your-own-pace school, which provided a lot of flexibility for me, as I had multiple jobs to work around. The application process was easy and the staff was very responsive to my initial questions. They offered several payment options and were even running a discount at the time when I signed up, which made the school even more appealing. Shipments of my materials were sent in a timely manner so that I could keep going with my coursework without pausing to wait for the new sections to arrive. CATCH offers different levels of coursework making it easy to find something that would fit anyone's needs. I chose to enroll in the Master's Class, which provided a CATCH mentor to help me, via phone calls, along the way. I think this was my favorite part of CATCH as access to my mentors, Megan and Jayne, were always helpful, offered good advice and a perspective that I had not thought about, especially when I got "stuck" on a doggie problem. I am a question person and they were very patient with me as they answered each one. I was also paired up with Anne, my local mentor, and she has been an additional wealth of knowledge. I don't think I would be nearly as comfortable with my skills, if it weren't for these wonderful ladies. Another area that helped me immensely is CATCH's workshops and their CATCH of the Day seminars. When you start something new, you are unaware of what you don't know and these two things along with my mentors really helped to expand my knowledge of material that had been discussed in the curriculum, but also gave a practical purpose to my learning. I highly recommend CATCH Academy if you are thinking about becoming a dog trainer, whether it be to your own pups or are working with other peoples' dogs. DON'T wait as long as I did! It took me a year to finally jump on board with CATCH Canine Trainer's Academy. As I was already a dog trainer with my own business in addition to teaching Elem. School, I already had my plate full. I also was not sure about it being an "on-line" type program. I have never been too terribly impressed with those. I had researched other programs and none seemed to really impress me. Or, if they did, they were unworkable given my schedule. I actually enrolled and un-enrolled in CATCH at the beginning. David, the program owner and director then contacted me directly and, following a lengthy Q&A session and heart-to heart talk, I jumped aboard. I have NEVER been disappointed. This is NO on-line school!!! CATCH Canine Trainer's Academy has a very impressive program and curriculum. I say this from an educator's point of view because I have taught Elementary School kids a foreign language for 23 years and have been involved in the writing of my county's curriculum for this area many times. CATCH's curriculum is in-depth, broad in what it covers, and challenging. Study questions are designed to promote higher level thinking. They also give structure to the readings and so help the student retain valuable information. CATCH's curriculum provides tons of hands--on work which is so vitally important in a field like dog training. Their program also includes working under a mentor trainer plus program director. Working under my mentor trainer (CDBC and CPDT) has been an invaluable experience. My program director at CATCH is readily available to answer questions, offer guidance and constructive feedback. The tests are hard!!! This is a program with real substance. And, it is flexible...I can work it around everything else I do. My knowledge and skills as a training professional have grown as a result. Shortly, I will not only have certification from CATCH but also be well prepared to finally sit for my CPDT exam. I am in Phase 2 of my training program and am so impressed with everything so far. I did some research as well and CATCH was so obviously a better deal that some others that I saw. One wanted $69,000 for a 6-week training program that only allowed me to operate in one zip code! I don't think so! What I am loving about CCTA is that I am getting an in-depth, overall look at dog training from different perspectives, not just one particular approach. I know I will be a better dog trainer for knowing that there are different approaches out there--and that I can be respectful even if I don't necessarily agree. The materials that they have sent me are so densely packed with information and I find myself using what I am learning all the time. I just got back from a visit with a friend whose dog is a barker and a guarder and we spent a few days working with her, and I gave her some tracks to run on after I left. There is just no lack of dogs out there with small and large behavioral issues and I get practice all the time. I really feel that I am getting the best of the best of the dog training material out there; no need to weed through the mediocre stuff because I am only getting the cream. The support that I get from the program is also phenonemal. Kelly is my student support coach and she is always available to answer my questions. I have been through college and graduate school and I've never had this level of personal attention in a program. Of course, I am not done with the program yet, but at this point, I think that the investment (a fraction of what Bark Busters wanted) is turning out to be a great one. I can't wait until I get to the one-on-one mentoring and the shelter work. I'm a Master Class grad, and now a Catch Certified Dog Trainer. It's quite a lot and interesting to learn to say at least. The materials are informative and useful. I love the support from the whole Catch team, especially my program director, Megan. Everyone's always there to help, quick to answer your questions or any help you need. I never met them, but I never felt like I was just swamped with all the studying by myself. Megan checked in on me every month to see if anything she could help me with my studying at all. I appreciate that. Later into the studying, I was paired with a local mentor (Catch carefully selected a local mentor for me to work with. I really appreciate that) I wanna focus on Positive Reinforcement as my approach in dog training and Catch didn't disappoint. I've personally experienced harsh and heavy handed training methods from other dog training company, it's awful awful awful awful (anything from electrical shocking my dog until his neck burned, kicking my dog in the face, hitting my dog on the nose) . I'm glad I decided to go with Catch. Throughout my experience here at Catch, there's not a single regret other than I wish I found them sooner. I have two dogs, everything I've learned from Catch, I've applied that on my dogs. They're way better behaved now. There're 10 phases for the Master Class with exam at the end of each phase. The last 2 phases are about how to build your business and how to conduct your own school/dog training classes. You'll have the opportunity to work hands on with a local dog trainer that Catch pair you up with. There're a few phases that your local mentor will evaluate you on your skill sets. Then, there's the final exam after you've finished all 10 phases. If you're reading this, that probably means you're looking to become a dog trainer. I contacted CATCH Canine Training Academy not because I wanted to become a dog trainer, at least not at this time, but instead because I wanted to learn more about understanding dog communications. I wanted to understand better what my dog was communicating, and I wanted to be able to understand more about what the other dogs we meet were "saying", and thereby safely encourage positive encounters and avoid negative confrontations. This is relevant to all dog owners, not just trainers. The nice thing about CATCH is that you do not have to take all of the training phases - they will cater their program to your desires. In my case, that was to complete the first two Phases. As of this writing, I have just completed Phase I, and I'm now eagerly plunging into the next phase. Anyone who wants to raise a puppy properly from the outset would benefit from this course - even before getting the pup! When you start any of the programs, the first thing you will receive is a small library of dog books. They are all entertaining and informative; they have been well-selected. You will receive a course syllabus that guides you through the readings in a well planned order, and there are Practice Questions along the way that emphasize the main points. The staff is readily available by phone or e-mail for any questions you encounter. I just passed the Phase I exam (open book, no time limit), which was neither too easy nor too difficult. In addition to the readings, there are many videos online that you can use for studying the dog's behaviors. Static pictures are not sufficient, and trying to learn in real-time (by watching dogs), is also not ideal. The videos are really nice learning tools. This is a well planned and prepared course. I am about halfway to finishing my course here at CATCH and I am absolutely loving it! The course information is amazing! I see it making a difference in my skills as a dog trainer more and more everyday. The knowledge the staff possesses is amazing as well. As a student, I am assigned a mentor that has been such a help during my time here! They are always there to help you with any questions you might have, and they keep in contact with you through both e-mails and phone calls, but not in a annoying persistent way. That is another great thing, they never push you and make you feel like you have to rush, they keep everything at your pace. If I have not talked to my adviser for a while, she checks in with a simple short e-mail asking how things are going and if there is anything she can do to help. Not only have I had several phone calls with my advisor, but also with the school director and founder! It was amazing to me that even he would take time out of his day to talk to me about my questions as a dog trainer. (He stayed on the phone with me for roughly 1.5 hours! And would make sure he had answered all of my questions before he hung up.) My advisor is Becca, and she has been amazing! I have even had times when I had questions about MY personal dogs (nothing to do with the assignments) and she was more than happy to give me a call and talk to me about my concerns. I also love how much she involves her personal life in her work. She would send me pictures of her own dog to me so that I could see him and compare him to my dog. (Both of our dogs are the same breed and age). Overall I have loved this experience and I know it was the right place to go to get some great experience to become the best dog trainer that I could be! I love Catch Canine Trainer's Academy! I am a current student and I have had the best experience. Even just getting signed up for school was a really big step for me because I have never furthered my education other than high school and the Catch Canine Trainer's Academy team has been with me every step of the way! Adam is my program director, and Marcella helped me sign up. When I phone them for a question the whole team remembers who I am by first name. They are so positive and inspirational whether you are having a hard time understanding the material or you are doing the absolute best, they are right there rooting for you! It doesn't stop there, even if you are having personal issues and it is affecting your work or your progress you can always count on their support and understanding. I personally deal with depression etc. and my program director Adam has been so understanding and that really means the world to me because he just doesn't say it will be ok, he helps motivate me in a positive way which in return helps me overcome and keep striving to be the best student and dog trainer I can be. The key is "Positive Reinforcement." It is just as important to us as it is to our many four legged furry friends and they totally understand that! The thing is really Catch Canine Trainer's Academy is honest and genuine and they want to see you succeed and they want to see the dogs you are training and their owner succeed and be successful. When I was younger I suffered a traumatic brain injury. I was told it would be hard for me to ever obtain a college degree or to work a full time job. As I grew older I realized that I had a passion to work with animals, particularly dogs. Many of the online schools out there are too expensive, or if they are cheap you get what you pay for and never actually learn any quality material. CATCH is neither. When I told them about my situation and since they have been nothing but supportive and kind. They have accommodated my disability and have been so nice the whole time. Their staff actually take the time to get to know you, your personal goals and to help you along the way as you progress through their program. Their courses are self paced so you can work whenever you are available and the material is easy to get through, but substantive and you finish each phase feeling like you have gained significant knowledge. I have never felt rushed or like I wasn't learning enough while taking this course. The price is astonishingly low for how much they give you, including books, a binder with new outlined study guides and assignments and training equipment. I have been so grateful for the new dog-related library I now have thanks to them as with the payments and each new course they send you a whole new round of books that relate to each phase, a wealth of knowledge that is very valuable. Hello My Name is Andrea K I started Catch Canine Academy about 2/half months ago , This is something i have always wanted to do but , kept putting it off , raising kids , ect ect . Than i made the decision to do it , Being on line classes , was my biggest problem , as I have never taken any class on line , and felt as thought I was in another country , just not having a teacher to speak too, a class room to go to , I felt lost and didnt know what i should do , So i sent a Email to ( Adam ) explained my fears , and my dont know what to do feeling . I was waiting for a email to come back and say he may think Im a little crazy , and Its not that hard , and really not understand what I was trying to explain , Well i sure was wrong , He knew excactly what I meant , understood what i was trying to say , and made me feel so much better , He got me into the right program ( where i would get on going support ) great financing , and he is here when ever i need him . I am so glad i choose Catch , and I was lucky enough to get Adam , I still work full time , have had a year full of many family heart aches , He is supportive if i need a little extra time , thats fine , he works with me on my computer skills , such as printing homework , and using the Catch web site , as my big thing with computers was social media , emails ,things like that . I am currently a new student in Master Class program at CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and am having an incredible experience so far! Pursuing a career change that would include my love of dogs, I started volunteering at a wonderful dog training center and discovered that I had found the niche I had been looking for. I found the work so rewarding and so much fun that I started searching for organizations and educational programs available to become a professional dog trainer. After looking in depth at several online programs, some that are very well known and others that are highly regarded but not so much in the spotlight, I found the CATCH program. Or it found me. I had already spoken to the staffs at the various other available programs, and then I contacted CATCH and instantly felt at home. The staff was very welcoming and I instantly felt at ease with them. They had a passion about what they did and how they felt about it that I missed in the other people that I had spoken to at other programs. So for that reason and for other various reasons such as tuition costs, length of the programs and curriculum among them I chose CATCH and am so very glad that I did!! The study materials and tools are extremely well structured and put together and very interesting. The further I progress into my studies the more addicted I become to them. Never did I think I would reach for a book about dog behavior instead of an easy "beach" read on a sunny summer day!! I have only made it through the first two phases of their program so far, but I am very impressed with the program. First, their customer service is excellent. The team that you talk to when you first call are all experienced trainers, and you get to talk to David himself as well! Most training programs you call, (in any expertise) you just end up talking to just some random admin person and they can only get into so many details with you. But these people are the ones who run the program. They also stay by your side throughout the process, checking in on you regularly and always respond to your questions. As far as the material goes- its very in-depth and arranged in an easily digestable manner. I've taken dozens of classes in various disciplines over the years, and I know what makes up a good curriculum- and that is good, clear communication which CATCH excels at. They present the material with continuity, by subject, give you study guides and projects to help you retain and understand the material, and then by the time you take the test, you've read through the material at least 3 times, making it easy to remember. After two months, they have already paired me with a trainer in Brooklyn where I can observe classes and get some hands-on experience. I have to say it is clear they care about what they do, and their business model is working very well. Also, from what I can tell they have a bigger focus on canine psychology which was another deciding factor for me. I have always been interested in becoming a certified dog trainer but was very skeptical about online schools and what kind of curriculum any dog training school could offer. I did my due diligence and researched many options (online schools, apprenticeship, in school academies and just going it alone). I called Catch to see what was being offered, how is was presented and a lot of tough questions. I talked to a representative and was thoroughly impressed with the answers I was given! I have been attending the academy for almost a year now and I am glad every day I chose this school to further my dog training skills! The curriculum is tough and in depth, the my mentor Kelly could not be any more patient with me. No matter what questions I have, what mistakes I make, how I have forgotten about our scheduled phone calls etc... she is always kind, understanding, respectful, knowledgeable and eager to help. I will complete this course soon and will be very confident in my skills that I have been taught. My library in quite extensive and something I can refer to in the future. I do recommend the Master Class if you are trying to decide on what classes to take. You are given a Mentor in the field close to your home who will be able to help you get out there and see a real trainer teaching classes, assessing your skills with a student dog, and helping you to understand what will be expected from you from your own clients. If your not sure about this school, take my words to heart and give it a try. You WILL NOT be disappointed!!! read more
