I got a flat tire at 6:45pm. My husband called the Belle Tire in West Bloomfield to see if they could service my car before close. They said to bring it in. We arrive and they said they can't take us. I had no air or time to go anywhere else. He recommended I go to the Farmington location because they're not as busy. He called someone named Ron and sent us there. They filled my tire with air to make it there. Shane looked at the tire and said it should be repaired because the damage was on the tread and not on the side. That was great news! My husband arrived and is told they actually can't repair it and would need to replace the tire. They didn't price match or discount anything; they also didn't use the same brand tires we have. They gave us an off-brand, generic tire and charged us for a name brand tire. I felt they knew we needed it repaired immediately, couldn't take it anywhere else, and took full advantage of the situation. I appreciate them taking us, but hustling people like this is dirty business. It shows poor integrity. I would not recommend this place to anyone nor come to any Belle Tire after the run around this evening. The following morning, my brand new tire had low air and my original three didn't. I went to the Orchard Lake Farmington location for 2 front tires and a wheel alignment. I had just had major front end work done to the car but needed the alignment & 2 tires. I was called and told that the inner & outer tie rods were loose. I called the repair shop that did the front end work and they said no way is it loose. They the repair shop called Belle Tire for me and talked to the manager, who said he would go check the tie rods. Called the repair shop back and said no everything looks good, we will do the alignment. When I went to pick up the car from Belle after calling me and telling me the car was ready, I was told they did not do the alignment because of loose parts. I took it back to the repair shop; they showed me there was nothing loose and that it looks like they did the alignment. I called the manager at Belle and asked again if they did the alignment, he said yes it should be listed on your bill. It was not listed on the bill, so I don't really know if the alignment was done but the steering wheel is straight, and the car drives straight. Trust is very important and at this time I will not go back to Belle Tire Farmington due to lack of trust. read more

If I could give this place a negative one I would! I took my car here a few months ago due to a friend's recommendation. I got all new tires on my car which was roughly around $700. Nick was the only person I worked with the entire process which I believe is the manager. I had a 2020 jeep compass in brand new condition nothing was wrong with my car AT ALL! after I got the tires put on Nick decided to bring me out a quote paper stating that I needed my sway bar links replaced which I asked why because I never had any issues with them prior he pulled me into the garage and tried to show my how they were loose which at that time they weren't! He then said "it's hard to tell when your not driving but they need to be replaced" I told him that wasn't something I was getting fixed that day considering he quoted me $500 for the repair then when I told him that's expensive he came back and brought me one for $180 When I drove off the lot my car was rattling very badly especially after I went over bumps or minor grooves in the road. I called Nick that same day and asked him why was my car making this noise? He said it was because of the new tires I said why would new tires make my car sound like this? He then stated anything new to a car can change certain things and completely blew me off. I gave it 2 days but it progressively got louder I then called back again and nick told me to bring the car back in, He then gave me another quote for the swag bar links which I keep telling him I did not understand considering my car did not make that noise at all prior to me dropping the car off to get the new tires. I then left and called the jeep dealership which took me months to get into they told me today that more than likely Nick or his staff did something malicious to my car because my swag bar links were not in bad condition when I had the car inspected just 2 months prior to getting the new tires they also told me that a lot of corporate companies have a tendency of doing this because they get paid off commission do they do minor things to people cars with the intention to get more money out of them. I then went to a mom and pop car shop that I have been going to for years without even telling them what the jeep dealership said and they literally said the exact same thing! And told em to call bell tire immediately. I called again to talk to Nick and I explained to him everything he just kept repeating himself about how they get worn out over time but he couldn't explain to me how my car was perfectly fine when I dropped it off but started to rattled after they put the new tires on. The conversation went on for about 5 mins and the more I explained to him he became rude and told me the only way they are fixing my car is if I pay. I am currently working with my lawyer to get this settled because I'm sure I am not the first person he's done this to and I'm sure I won't be the last I feel like he tried to take advantage of me because he felt like I had the money and also because I was a woman and he assumed I wouldn't be able to tell or know any better. If you do decide to stick with bell tire i highly recommend not going to this location and definitely keep your car far away from NICK! read more

Always fantastic service and even better customer service. They're very thorough and honest about work that needs to be done, work that can wait, and work that needs to be done immediately and why. I've lived relatively far from this location for about 10 years now and much closer to other Belle Tire locations and other service centers, and this is the only place I'll service my vehicle. While I used to get oil changes at this location, as well, I now have to get oil changes at my dealership through my protection plan, and any time the dealership recommends service, I decline it immediately and take it to Belle Tire to see what they recommend instead. I have been a customer at Belle Tire for over 20 years. As a check I went to a different mechanic who gave me a long list of things wrong with my car and highlighted several items that had to be fixed immediately. I left that mechanic and went back to Belle Tire to ask them to check and quote the must-do items. Belle Tire let me know those items were going to needed to be fixed in the future, but I definitely did not need to do them now. There was plenty of life left in those items and there were no safety concerns. They gave me a quote for when I did decide to get them done and Belle Tire's pricing was definitely lower. Short version- AVOID at all costs. To say that I am beyond angry would be an understatement. I have never had to go hold the hand of a mechanic in the past but apparently that's what you have to do just to make sure they did what was necessary. I don't know if there is enough space on yelp for how bad this place is... 1 - When you overheat on the highway just the process of getting your car to a shop is stressful enough, but paid a little extra to get it to Belle Tire because I have always had great success (at the Southfield Rd. location). I called the Farmington location to let them know it was on the way to which I was advised to go someplace else because they were busy. Uh - remember it's $5 per mile so - no I'm not going somewhere else. No, "Thank you, for thinking of us but be advised it will be Monday before we get to it." It was literally, "Uh, don't come here we're busy." Regardless I asked them to fix the issue and change the oil (synthetic) because it was due. I thought I would just have to be patient - but no. 2- I get my car back that following Monday, and go and pick it up at dusk so I can't see much, but in the light of day I see on my light gray "A pillar" interior and visor, greasy, black finger prints. Now when I picked it up, I was told at least three times that it was a messy fix (radiator hose went) and I figured that was justification for the cost. Apparently he must have known my car was a mess and was creating the excuse up front. 3 - I get a survey asking for feedback, I provide the above. I get an email back saying to bring it in if they need to fix something. Now mind you, this place is not close to my home or work, I broke down on the highway and needed the closest place. Gee, thanks, let me go out of my way to wait in your lobby to tell me the grease stains won't come out. 4. 6 weeks later... It's Thanksgiving Day weekend and after copious amounts of driving my engine light goes on. I notice my "oil life" is at 13% and assume it was missed when the oil change was done and that is causing the engine light. I reset it, but no, the light stays on. I check my oil and what do you know it's jet black and super low. THERE IS NO WAY AN OIL CHANGE TOOK PLACE 6 WEEKS AGO. According to my oil change sticker I have 7 thousand miles I was yet to drive before an oil change. No way that is going to happen. 5. I call Belle Tire (it's Sunday, no answer, no answering service) - I don't have a choice if I am going to work on Monday, I must get an oil change. So I go to Pennzoil to get it done. (At which point I ask the attendant if it looks as though I had an oil change 6 weeks ago, his statement "There is no way, and what would be worse is if they used the wrong oil your tag indicates -not synthetic) I leave and after a bit of driving the light goes out (but came back on again on Monday.) 6. I call Belle Tire on Monday and ask for some help, I am told to bring in my car for evaluation. I explain the light is still on but I had to get an oil change to continue driving it to avoid further damage. He tells me he can't do anything without examining the car, I took pictures of the mud that was oil and the tag on my car indicating 7K more miles and I was told I would be followed up with. 7. I get a call back on Thursday to call the local office. I do (within the hour) I am told three separate calls over the next few days that the contact isn't there. OK. I send a note Saturday asking for him to put in writing the response as I can't seem to get ahold of him. 8. The return email states because there is a sticker in the window I had an oil change - apparently that can't happen without the oil change occurring . He said Customer Service told him that (I think I would have asked the mechanic but what do I know) And that I have engine damage creating excessive oil consumption because I over heated on the road. So I ask you what is a worse situation ? Charging a customer for an oil change that wasn't performed or admitting you returned the car for use with engine damage? The decision to put that in writing, one woman's opinion, is Fascinating. Just an update: though I had already contacted corporate Belle Tire last week with no response, I did call Belle Tire Corporate again as requested by Kelly below. The gentleman was pleasant and explained that I have an oil leak I just can't see - and they can't detect (how convenient) And although he confidently knows why I had an oil issue he couldn't possibly answer the question as to why my window tag doesn't indicate synthetic oil. read more

The worst service you could possibly imagine! Do not take your vehicle here they will try to rope you into doing other unnecessary work to your vehicle! Took my vehicle in because I had a shake while breaking was told I needed tires and rear brakes after all the work which was around $1200 was completed the shaking is worse. Now they're telling me there's nothing that they can do and I also need shocks and struts. It's a 2019 F150 with around 65,000 miles on it! It rode smooth before I took it there now I can feel every bump and of course they told me that the shocks and struts were leaking! I had been to two other places previous to this one and they were telling me that they were on sure but they thought if I replace the tires it would stop the shaking it was only these guys that told me I needed rear brakes which did nothing to solve the issue and only made it worse and now all the sudden I have a rough ride and needs shocks what a coincidence! Do not take your vehicle here by any means necessary go somewhere else! The Michelin tires that I got are pretty nice but I could've gotten those anywhere don't fall for that were the lowest price scheme so they can get you in there and try to rope you into doing other things that are not necessary! read more

I recently (end of December) took my Ford Fusion in for shocks and struts. About two weeks after the repair, I noticed a rattling noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. It took me about a week of checking to determine the source, so I took the car back to Belle Tire to look into it. It turned out to be a broken strut mount. So, per their claim, there is nothing that they could possibly have done in replacing the strut that could have caused the failure. He also added that if the part we're broken when they replaced the strut, they wouldn't have been able to finish the installation. I asked them to provide me with the broken part for inspection, which they couldn't locate. This made me feel very suspicious, as this is a legal requirement in Michigan. I decided to look up the part cost as it seemed a bit high to me as well at $122. The MSRP of the part, from a Ford Dealer for an authentic Ford part was $78 with a "your price" of $54. I don't mind a business making money, but this kind of markup is ridiculous. The next day I went to talk to Nick the manager for the store to see if he could do anything for me. I have been coming to this store for many years, and thought he was an ok guy. I couldn't have been more wrong about Nick. He was rude to the point of being offensive. I asked him about locating the part for me. He replied that if I hadn't asked for it at the time of bringing the vehicle in, I was out of luck. (Please note this is incorrect under Michigan law--- Return Replaced Parts Along with an itemized final invoice, the law entitles the customer to all replaced parts. If the customer neither asks for a replaced part nor authorizes you to throw it away - in other words, he or she does not mention the part - you must keep it for two business days after the vehicle is picked up. Sorry Nick. We need providers that we can trust. It's a shame that in five minutes, you can destroy years of building that trust. read more

I had a car that had a flat tire so I removed the tire and brought the tire to the Sterling Heights location and they said that they repaired the tire I got home all the way to Taylor, Michigan placed the tire on the vehicle and the next morning the tire was flat again I believe that since I purchased the warranty they did not want to replace the tire now I have to drive all the way back to that location to hear the same song and dance. read more

I had a low tire pressure notification on my dashboard on Friday, July 31 and stopped at the Plymouth (Ann Arbor Road) location and they would not be able to get to my car until Monday . I called the Livonia ( Ann Arbor Road ) location and asked if they were busy and the guy said if I dropped my car off they would get to my car tomorrow. I then called this Farmington location and they said they were not too busy and they could see me right away. I drove to Farmington and within one hour I was in and out of Belle Tire. There was a nail in my tire and they fixed it and I was on the road. Thank you Belle Tire Farmington- I had a planned Lake Michigan trip with my family and we had planned on leaving our house that day and we were still able to go in my car!! I went to this Belle Tire over my lunch hour today - Sept 13, 2013, based on the two other 5-star reviews. (There are Belle Tires everywhere, so why mess with anything less than 5 stars just go somewhere a few miles closer?) The place seemed very clean and there's a bench to sit outside if you prefer - OR, while you wait, head to the Wendy's just on the other side of a neighboring parking lot. I was helped immediately by Angelee, who was friendly and did not try to upsell me (She didn't try to tell me that i could get a better tire for $40 more and she said I didnt need an alignment). I got a good enough set of Kumho tires (I dont know anything about tires) for my Ford Escape for just over $500 out the door (vs. the $700-800 for OE Michelins at the dealership). It took about 90 minutes -- Let them know if you have a timeframe to make sure they can accommodate -- and i drove away quite content. Thank you, Belle Tire people! read more

Out of at least 120 service calls with this location, I only had 2 problems and they were minor and corrected to my satisfaction. On my most recent visit. - June 05, 2011 - There were 2 cashiers waiting on 3 customers. With the average waiting time of 5 minutes to get their car looked at and Average wait time for 3 customers were 30-45 Minutes. Customers seemed satisified with their service. I went up there to get two new tires. I was told by the desk clerk that he could only sell me three as my truck is a four wheel drive and three of the tires were bad. I had replaced the tie rod ends in my 01 Aztec needed an alignment and 2 front tires they did a good job at a reasonable price, Fast forward a year I needed a battery usually a simple replacement but it was below zero and I was short on time, so since it was simple I figured I'd take it here and what a complete disaster this has turned out to be, you need to take off a fender support that removes the fuse box and gives you clear access to the battery and hold down, instead they pried the fuse box off broke the tie down and didn't tighten the battery bolts. So now my fuse box they re installed with wire ties and I noticed today that the battery shifted and rubbed against the air conditioner pulley so now there is a hole in the case. I'm not sure what if any recourse I have other than never using any Bell Tire for an An update I must Admit that the Manager Nick was a great guy and stepped up and fixed the issues, was very friendly, professional and had great customer service skills, they replaced the battery and the hold down and I was on my way. Let me start by saying this is the first time I've ever left a review on anything online, period. These guys blindsided me and offered no solution. I took my 2007 Ford Fusion with 60000 miles in for new tires and replacement brakes. The tech gave me a quote on the tires in the store which I agreed to, around $400-500. I asked him to take a look at brakes, he said he would give me a call with a quote. The tech gives me a quote for about $750, and another for $1300 to also replace shocks and struts too, so I assumed that the $750 was for both the brake work (pads+rotors) and the tires. The tech didn't say the price for the shocks and struts separately and said the prices as totals for the work. The $750 quote was for JUST for pads and rotors on a Ford Fusion! So I ended up paying $1365 after tax. I asked if there was anything I could do and they could help with my situation but they didn't offer anything and said the work was already done. My battery was dead and I called belle tire in Farmington Hills to see how much a battery would cost. They told be $285. That's a bit ridiculous, I asked them why is it so much. they said well a battery is almost $200 and the rest is labor. I called O Reilly's and asked how much my battery costs, $180 including tax. So belle tire wanted $105 to unscrew 3 bolts and lift out the battery and set a new one in its place and screw the bolts back in, wow! I took my own battery out in about two minutes and took It to O Reilly's, bought the new one and installed it in about two minutes. Belle Tire shame on you for being such a rip off! On a customer service level, hands down they are the best in the auto industry. When I would go to the dealerships (Volvo) they acted as though I should be grateful to have my car serviced there. At Belle Tire they treat me as fa long tim friend. My waiting time and personal experience is #1 for them. When certain items took longer to complete, they made sure to accommodate me so that I left content. I like that they reward their customers for their loyalty rather then rewarding for complaints. Please keep up the good work. My family as well as my 10+ extended family members will continue to be loyal clients! In reference to the long wait times...isn't that a good thing? As I walked out the door of my house, I noticed the right rear tire on my car was flat. Zero pressure flat. I went online to see what time Belle tire opened (8:00 am), and pulled out my air compressor to see if I had to swap the flat tire with the spare, or the tire would hold enough air to get me the two miles to the shop. Thankfully, the tire held some air (though you could hear it hissing out), and I got to the store just after it opened. Even though there were a couple of folks in front of me, I was out by 9:02w with a fixed tire that had been torqued to manufacturer spec., and no charge. Fantastic! read more

I had the unfortunate experience to visit the Farmington store last week to have my tires replaced under the manufacturer's warranty. I talked to the store manager Bill Gideon and is was obvious from the first moment that he was thinking of ways not to help me. Mr. Gideon finally told me that my tires were not covered under Michelin's warranty because the warranty was good for only 3 years and it was just over 3 years since I bought them. However this is not correct. The Michelin warranty is 6 years not 3 years. When I brought this up he said I did not know what I was talking about. When I asked him to call Michelin to confirm this he said that was not his job and said for me to call myself and that I am completely on my own to file a claim. Of course he did not provide me a number to call. Mr. Gideon was very rude and condescending in his attitude. He definitely needs training in customer service at a minimum. So I drove 5 miles north on Orchard Lake Road and stopped in at the West Bloomfield Belle Tire store. There I had a completely different experience. The manager there was very friendly and pleasant and eager to help me. He called the Michelin customer service and helped me to file the claim. Bottom line is I am now driving on 4 new Michelin tires that were covered under the warranty. My advice to you is save yourself a guaranteed headache and steer clear of the Farmington Belle Tire store. read more

I brought my car in today for a routine oil change. The mechanic somehow broke my windshield wiper off, so they replaced them (without calling me first) and tried to charge me for them. When I said that this seems very convenient, that it breaks while in their control, but has always been fine for me they get mad. I go to pick up my car and Nick starts lying to me, making up excuses and rules that were never in place or an issue before and I can tell he's lying and coming up with things on the spot by all the pauses he takes between thoughts, I have it on video. How is it right that they damage something on my car and think that I'm going to pay for it? And then how is it right that I, rightfully get upset by that, and they turn it around on me like I'm the bad guy all because they don't want to admit fault? The customer service here is unbelievably horrible. Don't bring your car here unless you want them to break it and then charge you for the repair. They have no customer loyalty. On top of it my mother's company has a huge account and does a ton of business at this location, but from what Nick says "you don't have to bring your cars here" so they obviously don't care about business or pleasing the customer. Horrible Service. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. Neither happened. I put a mark on my front tire in order to make sure they rotated my tires. I specifically ask, if they rotated my tires, before I went out to my car; Oh Yes, it's marked on your receipt. I also checked my oil before I dropped off my car, too. BECAUSE,(I took my car in for an Oil change ONLY to the Belle Tire at the Southfield, Southfield Rd location. Picked my car up Paid for my oil change. Drove home (something told me to check my oil) NO OIL. An employee was sent to my house to put oil in my car) So, back to the Farmington Hills, Orchard Lake Rd location: Walked out to my car, and Yes my mark was still on the front tire and my Oil was NOT changed. I asked them to come and out and look at what I noticed. (Mind you I left my car there for 5 HOURS) Some BS about the oil pressure in my car is not an indication of my oil level And we can't rotate your tires for another 45 minutes.... Fast forward ONLY 3 months later, I needed 7 quarts of oil... Curt's Service in Oakpark MI an excellent repair service. I will never use any Belle Tire location for ANYTHING.
