That being said, if you have the money for it, you may see a beautiful piece you can't pass up. There was a brass tea pot light hanging from the ceiling that was so lovely, I wish I could have purchased! A lot of items have been restored or repurposed beautifully. It's the fun of the hunt to find something different. As I walked around, there weren't many "newer items" which is okay in my book! It was a fun place to look around, especially after being cooped up in the house during the pandemic. So a very special thank you to A New Leaf for saving my sanity through the monotony of these past few months! Would come back to browse if I was in the area!

When I got home I measured and left a message that I would take it, but I wouldn't be able to come until the end of the next week. They said it wasn't a problem and didn't even want my credit card to continue to hold it. The two women who run it are incredibly nice and accommodating and the place is full of treasures. It is a fun place to look around and chances are you will find something you absolutely must have.

Took full payment, left the job unfinished, and refused to pay subcontractor…read more We hired Lisa Green of Green Design Group through a referral for a full kitchen, bar, and bathroom cabinet renovation. The total contract was over $76,000, which we paid in full. What followed was a months-long nightmare. From the beginning their were red flags: (1) demanding full payment before cabinets are dropped off (2) not checking cabinets before delivery and maliciously holding back cabinets further delaying the project and (3) overall poor workmanship and couldn't get along with anyone on the job. Lisa engaged a subcontractor to perform painting and carpentry work at our home. When that subcontractor submitted his invoice for $7,400 -- for work that was done -- Lisa refused to pay. She's been ignoring his invoices and follow-up emails for months. As a result, we are now being held responsible for a bill we did not incur, and face the risk of a mechanic's lien on our home. Beyond the subcontractor situation, the job itself was never completed as contracted. Moldings and trim were left unpainted. We've also had ongoing defects -- failed drawer slides, cabinet issues by the dishwasher, door hinge problems -- that required additional time and money to fix. When the subcontractor tried to resolve this directly with Lisa, she sent her attorney. That tells you everything you need to know. If you are considering hiring Green Design Group, ask very carefully about how she manages her subcontractors and whether she will complete the job she quotes you. We wish we had. We are in the process of legal proceedings and working with the OCABR. Absolute NIGHTMARE!

Lisa Green made one visit to consult without measuring tape or any method of recording. She confirmed a return visit and we are now into 4 months renovation with no contact from her, whatsoever. My best advice would be to find another design group committed to doing the work.
