I browsed a bunch of antique shops in Concord the other day and this one was my favorite. It's very fun to look through the trinkets, jewelry, clothing, and other things they have here. I was very tempted by a few nice cashmere sweaters and reasonably priced 14k gold jewelry. Would definitely come back to look through their selection agajn. read more

Prices are pretty high for the most part, bunch of booth spaces and quick to walk around. One of the ladies working here was very pushy with her both if anyone showed any interest, asking if people were interested she could lower the price and stuff like that it was a little much... we got a couple of things and would have got more if it wasn't for the prices..I read more

What a cute little shop. We had such fun exploring inside. Quaint little town and the nicest people ever! Loved the clothes and notebooks. Great look back into history. read more

Thoreauly Antiques - Still trying to figure out what these are. - Antiques Near Me - Concord, Massachusetts

A magical shop, so full of vintage surprises and beautifully laid out. The visitors to Concord must see the history and autumn leaves. And they must come here. read more

I've always loved this shop! Lots of great finds, and I will continue to go there. But the women working there today was certifiably nuts! Every customer that came in the shop, she would ask them if they had the vaccine in a really loud obnoxious voice that I could hear on the other side of the store. Telling people that if they didn't have the vaccine that they needed to wear a mask! What business is it of hers if someone has been vaccinated!? I actually saw people turn around and walk out. What a turn off! If she's so paranoid, perhaps she shouldn't be there herself. read more

I love this antique shop! I teach nearby and stop in once a month to see what goodies I can find! I love old children's toy blocks and have bought many here and they are wonderful! I use them in displays with old school books! I recently found an old ruler with the alphabet on one side and numbers 1-10 on the other. I am a teacher and scooped this ruler up! I have it displayed on an antique slant top desk in my home. It is beautiful and unique and was inexpensive! I also collect old books and this shop has many interesting books and old school primers as well! Stop in you never know what you will find!! When I shop here I leave happy! read more

Thoreauly Antiques is such a fun spot. I don't usually buy antiques, but just looking around this place is like being on a fascinating treasure hunt. The items are well-curated and presented beautifully. Definitely recommend taking a look. read more

Insipid name aside, I really like this place. The downstairs store is full of interesting and reasonably priced antique knick knacks. I always find something interesting for my cabinet of curiosities, whether it's a peculiar photograph, a china doll's arm from the basket of grab bags, or an antique medicine or perfume bottle. The second floor is much more expensive. There's always one booth I stop at... I'm especially fond of European antiques from the 19th century, and I swear this booth is rigged to give me a heart attack: Santo crowns, eerie religious shrines from Spain and France, fine ladies' things, Victorian hairwork (yes, human hair), among other strange and beautiful items. I can afford NONE of them. Someday, though. read more

I was searching the area for authentic antique furniture to use in two bathroom renovation projects and wandered into this shop. This was not the shop for me. It is a shop that apparently rents booths to a group of women with jobey/hobbies that rents 'booths' and fills them with vintage finds they then mark-up?? Oh, well, keeps people busy and fills otherwise empty storefronts rented. There is a lovely shop across the street and also one located a few doors down on the second floor that has some authentic finds, but this one doesn't have anything I'd consider antique. read more

I hate junk, but love collections. Yard sales simultaneously thrill, inspire, and disgust me, the show Clean Sweep makes my palms clammy with anxiety, and recycled art/goods of any kind never fails to so completely relax my mind and body that I could very easily unintentionally pee my pants. Everyone has their quirks. With this in mind, my review: For anyone who recalls such childhood thrills as losing a lazy afternoon in the back of an older relative's closet or drawers, emerging from shoe boxes and stale fabric aglow with story-lines inevitably connected to every loose thread and scrap of paper that escaped disposal, or over-stuffing pockets and bags with stones or shells on a beach, perfectly shaped pebbles or pinecones on a hike, and the like, only to let an equal amount of time pass arranging and sorting the findings, will not be able to resist this shop. Ephemera and jewelry are individually packaged and placed into boxes or organizers alongside silverware tied with string and classic novels, housewares, clothing, furniture, and artwork, postcards, buttons, clasps, zippers, appliances, lace, sculpture, hats, photographs, cookbooks, all stacked with purpose and intent, colors juxtaposed just-so, shapes echoing and offsetting each other to make absorbing the entire store nearly impossible. Each individual shelf, corner, fraction of a wall must be taken on its own, almost as artwork itself. However, that specific joy of hunting is not removed by order, due to the volume- it seems they've somehow managed to break laws of physics to fit everything in. Thoreauly Antiques is so composed, so humble, so endearing, it makes anything that may qualify as junk instantly precious. Antiquing has never been so easy on the eyes. read more

This place is an amazing antique store! It had what I was looking for- small knickknacks and great vintage jewelry and old skeleton keys. Almost no larger items/furniture. There is stuff everywhere you look! If you collect anything at all, from dolls to vintage pins to baby blocks to ivory boxes to old trading cards to Just everything. It specializes in small things mostly. read more

I'll weigh in because the ever-companionable Trixy goes ga-ga over this joint whenever she finds herself in Concord. Although I'd never set foot in the place myself, I felt it had 2 strikes against it because of what I call The Insipidly Clever Name Syndrome [most often employed by hairdressers ("Curl Up And Dye") and hot dog stands ("The Weiner's Circle")]. I found the shop small and packed from floor to rafters with vintage stuff from the 1920s - 1950s, some yard sale stuff marked up 40% or so and some genuine pricey antiques. Inside, Trixy busily scooped up armloads of printed Americana, Victoriana (and every other "ana") in the form of tiny calling cards, advertisements and effluvia. I could see how a girl could go crazy here so I left her to dawdle and fritter. read more

This was my favorite antique store in Concord. Lots of fun stuff, most things reasonably priced, lots of great supplies for projects. Things were well displayed and labelled. A wonderful place to go to bury yourself in paper ephemera and vintage rings. read more

LOVE THIS SHOP...........Interesting items.......great prices......friendly dealers........

I have to report that I discovered the most enchanting collection of vintage linens, textiles and lace curated by Judith Cogan in this unique store. See for yourself. She has quite an eye. Found a beautiful, vintage tablecloth to give a friend to give as a wedding present. Lots of one-of-a-kind trims and laces for to add anything you DIY for the home or fashions. If on a treasure hunt...Thoreauly Antique is a fine destination. read more
