I'm just rating the waxing service. Underarm was was $20. Which is a few dollars more than I'm used to paying. The waxing rooms are really small. The table is next to the wall so you have to lie on your side to have your second underarm waxed. The place seems to be more of a manicure factory. Tried the salon on a total whim after work and I will for sure be back. The first thing I noticed was the salon room was spacious, and looks really clean and nicely decorated. Pretty decent music playing also. The manicurist was amazing. She was polite and super gentle but also really fast . I needed to soak off the old and get new gel manicure and the whole process took about a half hour, but it came out lovely. Base coat, two layers of pink gel, glitter layer, and top coat. Alright so I came here 2 years ago for my wedding nails after another salon had butchered their ombré gel French....and I don't know why I don't come here every time I'm in north jersey. Came in today as I have a friends wedding. Christina did my nails and was so patient and did the most impeccable job! And John did my pedicure along with an added 15 minute foot massage that was amazing! Their attention to detail and comfort is better than the majority or salons. They take the time. While I was getting my nails prepped they have me a few minute beck and upper back massage. This use to be a standard and now it's hard to find. I would recommend this place over and over again! My sisters and I came on Christmas Eve for gel x sets for each of us. One sister and I made appointments, my other sister decided last minute to come along as a walk-in and they were able to fit her in right away! Great covid safety measures at the salon--everyone was masked and our temperatures were checked at the door, so we felt very safe and comfortable. Overall ok, but kinda hit or miss, depending, which technician you get. Couple times they did great job, however last few times they over filled my nails making them super brittle, service was rushed and gel was applied incorrectly ( didn't seal the edge of the nail) that resulted in my gel manicure chipping and peeling in less than a week. read more

I've been getting my nails done for many years and of all the years some how I ran into belle nails in Ramsey NJ on my way to Newark airport back in December and I was absolutely wowed by the customer service and the service on my nails. I went to Belle today to get a gel manicure and service I received was extremely wonderful. The staff at Belle is phenomenal and extremely friendly. The salon itself is beautiful and very clean. My nails were done by Jennifer who was so sweet and helpful! She helped me pick the perfect color with the help of the owner Sue. Everything from removing my previous gel manicure to the application of the gel was done flawlessly. Jennifer did a great job with making sure my nails were filed perfectly and making sure that there was no gel around the cuticle area when everything was finished. I was trying to kill time before an interview and decided to get my nails done. After seeing positive ratings for Belle Nails on Yelp, I decided to stop in. Once I walked in, the first thing I noticed was the large color variety of polishes. I'm not sure if I've seen a larger selection elsewhere. The man, who I presume is the owner, greeted me at the door. He, like the rest of the staff, smiled and was very friendly and hospitable. I usually get a full acrylic set with gel polish because I haven't had a great experience with UV gel full sets. I was informed they only do gel or dip powder. I've always been intrigued by dip powder manicures so I decided to get one of those for $45. At first, they were a little pushy with sales and tried to convince me to get UV gel instead. I let my nail tech, Amy, know that I haven't had great experiences with gel sets in the past and that I was on a budget and couldn't afford the $100 set or the biweekly $55 fills. From that point forward, she was less pushy and very clear about prices. I ended up paying extra for gel polish ($10) and for a 15 minute neck and shoulder massage ($23). I think $23 for a massage is expensive, but I thought it was worth it. I have many knots in my shoulders and he did a great job working them out. I think prices are average compared to what I've seen before, but I usually go to places that offer cheaper prices. In terms of the quality of my manicure, it's good but not the best manicure I've ever received. However, I would still return to Belle Nails. I really liked that I was greeted with warmth. I also liked Amy's demeanor because she was personable and professional. read more

First and only time coming to Belle Nail. It's a nice nail salon, pretty, clean and well kept. A bit bigger than I expected from the outside, plenty of stations. I called early before they opened and was happy to make an appointment that same day on a weekend. Although if you go first thing on a Sat, you won't need an one. Maybe because I was new to the place, I didn't know anyone to request, I was assigned to a girl that said she was pretty new. I got eyebrows, regular mani and pedi. Eyebrows were really quick and they have a wax for if you have more sensitive skin. She didn't ask how I wanted them at all and at first they looked fine. Later I noticed that one end was patchy and slightly thinner than the other. My nails look nice. I'm not crazy about their top coat. It's not as shiny or dries as hard as some others I've tried. I asked for a design which I think threw her for a loop but turned out fine. The girl who did my pedicure was quiet but sweet. Gave a nice leg and shoulder massage. A couple things that I didn't like. One, my manicurist asked why I didn't get gel and I said because it makes my nails dry, brittle and weak. Plus I don't have problems with chipping etc. She didn't seem thrilled with what I said and acted standoffish. Two, once I was left to dry I wasn't followed up with at all. I assume because I paid already and sure I was done but if you want your clients to come back maybe you should see them out until the very end. Had to walk all the way back to the kitchen to even find the girl to give her a tip. They have their wifi password available around the shop but I couldn't log on for some reason. They offer valet parking if you call which I thought was kind of odd for the location. But I guess if you're in a rush to get to your appointment and there's not a lot of parking it's good? The service that they pride themselves on was lackluster for me unfortunately. I'm pretty sure that my experience was unique and that generally Belle Nail must have a great rapport with their repeat clients based on reviews. I used to get mani pedis all the time and I love feeling pampered. I haven't in a long time and at this price point I left feeling just fine, nothing more. There are just too many nail salons around that one mediocre experience can easily be fixed by trying another place. read more

I decided to stop by this place after work without an appointment and I was started on within 5 min. I got a gel French manicure, I forgot the tech's name who did them but she did a great job. She took her time and went back to correct mistakes as well. What I really liked was that she did triple later of white on my tips when most places would be lazy and only do one or two. I am very picky about how my nails are done since I usually do them myself and my parents use to own a nail salon themselves. This place is very clean, they use a new package of tools for each customer and everyone is very nice and polite. My manicure came with a short back massage and hand massage. Nothing to rave about but good effort. I would love to give this place 5 stars but I thought the prices were average. I go about once a month or so, and always leave with an absolutely gorgeous set of nails no matter who happens to be assigned to me that day. The shop is clean and comfortable, and all the staff that I've had experience with (pretty much everyone at this point) have been great at what they do. I see some reviews saying that they had a bad experience with the owners, which blows my mind because they are always wonderful in my opinion! They've always been super nice and accommodating, and I feel like they genuinely care about me as a customer and will ask how I'm doing/how's the service every time they see me. So disappointed and disgusted. I went for a gel mani/reg pedi. The salon was not busy, just 2 others getting service done. I don't appreciate the constant switching of employees. I understand they want to make some money too but it's unfair when I have to tip 4 people... I asked for OPI but they thought they can trick me and pick a similar color with another brand. I confronted immediately saying "that is not OPI, nor the color I wanted." But she tried justifying why this brand is better. (Mind you 2 days later my nails already started chipping.) On top of that they watered down the polish and it left streaks. I told them and the employee got so nasty with me and started screaming "it looks good your eyes are bad." I got a pedicure and the woman really spent her time massaging my legs, that was great considering that is where a lot of salons lack when it comes to pedicures. my gel manicure was good too, that woman didn't really rub my hands that much or give me a massage after while I was drying (that's my favorite part) they told me the nail polish I used on my toes was a special one that lasted 3 weeks instead of 2 so they charged me an extra $5 for that which I think is a little steep considering the whole bottle costs about $8. anyway, I'd go back again if I wanted to treat myself but since the price was a bit much for every other week i wont be rushing to return here, but still recommend it! read more

What a wonderful experience at Belle Nail. Extremely clean. I felt so safe/relaxed the entire time I was there. Everyone wears protective masks. There is hand sanitizer stations throughout the salon (including right when you walk in) and everyone is kept socially distant. They also have shields in front of all work stations (mani and Pedi!) Prices are more than fair, service is great, and most importantly their consistency with the quality of work performed is most satisfying. My go to person is Bijou for gel nails. I can't believe I spent $55 on a gel pedicure. Nothing fancy just plain white gel. Other places charge $35. I should have asked before getting it but omg how crazy. It wasn't all that I expected it like she didn't scrub much I came in on a Monday so it wasn't busy. They were really nice just wasn't $55 worth plus tip. 1 thing I hate is that they never and I mean everywhere don't let you soak your feet. I like to soak and sit for a bit so that when they scrub everything comes off but not they rush you. Also she was really pushy on to get additional to remove the skin like my feet are not that bad but I guess she just didn't want to scrub. I won't come back bc it's way too pricey. I went there a few weeks ago for a pedicure. This was my second time there for a pedicure and the first time was pretty good. This most recent time was a different story. During the pedicure, I decided to get a manicure, which they do at the same time (great for saving time, not so much for relaxation). This pedicure took a really time (almost an hour) considering not too much was done. I was running late for work, asked for quick dry polish, wasn't given that. The pedicure ended up getting ruined and I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Price was about average. Wifi password is posted but doesn't work. Please explain to me why post it if it's not correct. And here's the worst part, as I was leaving in a rush, I tipped the woman who did the pedicure for both of them, because I couldn't find the other woman and I didn't have any change to break a bigger bill. At the point the owner comes up to me and goes "the other woman is complaining that she did your nails and you didn't tip her". How rude! I tipped and coming up and asking for a tip is so exceptionally rude. I was mortified and I would never go back. read more

I called and was able to get an appointment that very same day. I asked if someone would be able to accommodate design ideas I had, I was advised that someone could. I was cautious with intending to get too detailed of a design. I arrived and was greeted by an immense selection of regular polish, and a wide variety of gel colors. That's where i met Chris(tina) who seemed confident she could bring any idea I came up with to life... She has done just that. I typically use pinterest and instagram as my muse and give Chris creative liberty- each visit, she way surpasses my expectations.
