I has an appointment for a manicure and volcano spa pedicure and my pedicures alone was hour 15 minutes of pure pampering. My appointment was at 10:45am was taking right back with mani and pedi was done by 12:15pm then sat and allowed my nails to dry til 12:30pm. I had Ruby and she actually used a time to make sure I got the correct amount of massage. She engaged in conversation with me as well asking questions which I am not used to. Very friendly staff. This place is awful! My daughter and I went on Sunday and she got acrylics while I got my pedicure. She got a star put on each pointer finger. One of them didn't look very good, so she screwed up all of her courage and asked the man to fix it. She was very polite (I was sitting with her by then). His reply was that he is not a machine and she should go home and do it herself. After we left, she told me that he hadn't done any type of manicure beforehand or even pushed back her cuticles. Yesterday (Wed.), she showed me that one of her nails was lifting and they already looked grown out because of the cuticle issue. Today, my mother took her back to get the nail fixed. My mom very politely asked for the manager and said that she did not want to have the same man fix it. The "manager" spoke with the original man in their language while pointing and laughing. After waiting a while the same man from Sunday called her back to fix the nail. Apparently, she was intimidated so she allowed him to. He chastised her and said if she wanted her cuticles done, she should have said something on Sunday, not gone home and complained. Then when using the grinder, he TORE into her nailbed. Unfortunately, she didn't say anything since he'd been so nasty already and allowed him to replace the nail. We left and she started crying on the way home because he hurt her finger so badly. I visited the establishment on May 11, 2023. I was a walk in. I was told it was OK. I wanted to relax and have pedicure. I was taken back by a person who apparently was disabled. She was unable to use her left hand. She dropped the instruments 3 times , spritzed them and dried them as best she could and continued. I asked if I could help in any way and was told " just watch TV , I do not need help". So much for a relaxing pedicure. The service was rushed, the polish sloppy and slightly unsanitary . read more

Well , this was a good place to get my nails done until I went to get a liquid gel refill (mind you my full set prior January 3,2020 was $55 and this was with Liquid gel and coffin shape as this took 35 mins ) TODAY the lady took over 2 hours on my refill! Their liquid gel refill cost $40 I was okay with that ! I was missing 3 nails so I knew I would have to pay more! But never did I think it was gonna be $20 dollars more they recharged me for the coffin shape when 7/10 were already shaped and that is supposed to only be an $5 up charge idk where the remaining $15 was for. This was a horrible experience like I explained before I was in a chair for over 2 hours just to be cheated not only out of my time but my money as well! This really sucks because I really like Ruby who wasn't there! If I were you I wouldn't go unless Ruby is available They also stuttered and took over 5 mins to talk to me when I called back to get the price explained because it wasn't on the receipt! My nails weren't even worth it they are all lumpy and all uneven! NEVER AGAIN! Been here a few times since the reopening of businesses after quarantine and pleased with the precautions and sanitation. My last manicure and pedicure with Alex the first time I went was fantastic. My toe nail polish lasted 4 weeks which never happens and he was kind and did an amazing job. However I went in on Friday to get another mani pedi and was incredibly disappointed. SO rushed. Which I can understand may be a plus for some people but not when it comes to quality. The polish on my nails is bubbly and already starting to shred off on two fingers. (2 days later) The polish on my toes was put on so thick that it wiped off my big toe when I got home and took sandals off. I was also cut pretty bad on one of my toes and I don't think it would have happened if she took the time. Normally I would go back and have them fixed but I'm away this week, so I guess I'll be repainting my toes in the car. When receiving my pedicure the nail technician ripped off a part of my skin on my toe. It bled so badly, it hurt to put it back into the pedicure tub. I wasn't able to wear shoes comfortably for a week post pedi. After that I didn't want to go back because it really hurt, and Was very expensive. making appointment doesn't matter as there's usually only two people on duty and they were always very rushed every time I went in (4 times). I requested a manicure, pedicure and eyebrow waxing. The service was thorough and professional. Cam was sweet and kind and made the experience between client and technician an excellent one. They also offer facials, tanning, massage apart from waxing, manicures and pedicures. Coming from out of state, I'm glad I was able to find and l get a fresh mani and pedi here! The shop is very open, bright, and spacious. They were very careful and meticulous when they were scrubbing my feet and polishing my nails. I play a lot of sports so I desperately needed work done, and they didn't disappoint! Very disappointed I made appointment to come in yesterday at 1. So I expected for them to start working on me at least by 1:15. Instead they wrap my fingers at 1:30 and sat me there. For about an half hour I sat with the gel wrap on my fingers nails. Then they finally sent a new girl, who evidently never did gel polish. Mind you someone came in after me, the owner skip me and worked on her feet. If you a loyal customer and give good tips. Would you have the new girl do your loyal customers nails? I would think not. I have been going to Belle Beaute for many years and generally have been pleased with the service. Despite making appointments, there have been times when I had to wait much longer than anticipated. I can understand that there are walk-in clients but feel that appointments should be honored. The past two times I have told Trish when making the appointment that I needed to be out of the salon by a specific time. When I came in for my scheduled time several weeks ago, I reminded her again of my time crunch. After waiting over 25 minutes, I got up to leave and said I was canceling my appointment. This typical salon is a bit pricey for my blood. Usually pedicure are around $20 but this one was $32! It was nothing special and definitely not sanitary. It's in a strip mall with typical pedicure chairs. All tools were used and taken from a basket not in any type of sanitizer. They didn't even scrub the tub down when I was done, just a rinse. Hoping I don't get toenail fungus now. read more

I have been coming to this salon for years. I arrive at 9:15 AM with two people working. By 10:00AM, after waiting for 45 minutes - I'm told by Trish, the manager - "you are going to have to come back. The girl who was supposed to come in at 9:30 to work didn't show up and I have appointments coming in" No offense, it is not my problem your staff didn't come in. I should not be denied my services for that reason. As someone in the medical field, it would not be acceptable for me to deny a patient medications because staff didn't show up. And if it was going to be a problem, someone could have not wasted my time and told me earlier. Not to mention, they didn't offer any sort of compensation for this. I've been going to this nail place for a few years but the last time I treated myself to a pedicure, the man working there severally hurt my big toe by digging under the nail too far which caused a bad infection to my toe. After my toe recovered, I was in the area and decided to give the place one more try so I popped in for a quick eye brow wax. The lady who waxed my eye brows screwed them up so bad, I barely had a left brow and it didn't look like she touched my right. I will never step into this place again. So frustrated! I came here for the first time about a week ago. I got a pedicure and a full set of artificial nails. During the pedicure, they didn't open the utensils from a fresh I open pack, like most nail salons. The cost was around $62, which is pretty reasonable. After a week, two of my nails broke and the gel was completely lifting off at least 6 of my nails! I went to another nail shop (keep in mind, it's only been a week) to get a Refill and the person asked me where I got my nails done. He said the way they applied the gel was incorrect which is why everything lifted from my natural nail. He had to repair all of my nails. Never again will I waste another dime here. read more

Any place I go currently gets 5 stars. There are many many many nail places in all states. Delaware is no different but Delaware is pretty small so if you know the neighborhood you can assume the service. Have been to many and what strikes me about this one is the personalization from the owner/manager. She right off the bat made it a point to remember my name (which many people can not). My granddaughter, one of her friends and my great-granddaughter came to the salon to get mani-pedi's and the owner was extremely rude to them. He told them there would be an hour wait time even though there was no one in the shop; when questioned by my granddaughter he replied he was waiting on people with appointments. I have always been serviced as a walk-in with little to no wait time. My granddaughter said she would wait, however, he told her she should leave. I confronted him later in the day and his response was her face looked like she didn't want to wait; which I don't believe. He did not want to service her, her friend and my great-granddaughter. Why? Just want to say, my first visit will be my last visit. They don't sterilize their equipment and the people are rude. I think their prices are extremely high ($25 for a pedicure, $30 for a manicure - just painted nails no acrylic) especially when I can get a mani/pedi for $22 in Newark. The whole experience was unpleasant and I am easy to please. I was not happy with the paint job on my toes and when I mentioned it she said "they looked fine." My girlfriend got her finger nails done and they looked like a child had painted them. The edges were choppy and paint was on the fingers, not to mention the gel paint was already lifting from the edge of her nail near the cuticle. But they took no criticism and charged me an insane price. I was not happy and told them they were insane for charging such high prices for such mediocre work. So I was out $55 with bad toe nails and my friend had peeling nails. I will stick with my usual salon in Chestnut Hill Plaza in Newark from now on. At least I know if I don't like what they do, they will fix it, no problem. read more
