After staying in for a year (and counting) due to Covid, we have been ordering food delivery several times a week and wanted to start supporting local restaurants more often. My mother wanted a Memphis BBQ Pork Pizza, which is available from several restaurants near us. But we decided to try Bella's version after seeing high ratings (4.5-5 stars) for the restaurant in each of the various food delivery apps that we use regularly. I ordered a custom pizza with Italian sausage, white onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, extra mozzarella, and provolone cheese. Both pizzas were small 10" pizzas but were much closer in size to a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. Both pizzas had only a scant trace amount of meat on them and were extremely soggy and limp with a very thin crust. Yuck! The vegetables on my sausage pizza were raw, and apparently whoever heated up this cardboard-tasting pizza did not know the difference between red and white onions. For the price Bella's is charging, I expect them to get the ingredients right and for the food to arrive hot. For the rest of the family, we ordered Lasagna, Toasted Ravioli, Plain Wings, Teriyaki Wings, Meatballs, and Garlic Knots. The wings were deep fried drummies that were so dry and overcooked that they were as inedible as the cold, soggy pizzas. Plain Domino's wings (which are a mix of actual wings and drummies) are exponentially better than Bella's wings and have some degree of moisture to them. The Teriyaki Wings were merely plain, dry drummies drizzled with teriyaki sauce (and not nearly enough of it). The toasted ravioli tasted freezerburned and like they were deep fried simultaneously in the same vat of grease with the wings, and they were so overcooked to the point that I was afraid I would chip a tooth trying to bite into one. The Garlic Knots looked fabulous in the online photo but are in actuality no bigger than a single piece of tiny popcorn shrimp. Each Knot is literally a single bite, but they did taste pretty good. And the side salad that came with the Lasagna was probably the freshest food item (literally a few pieces of lettuce with one sliver of raw, red onion) as everything else we ordered tasted like it had all been previously frozen. In summary, the food from Bella's was inedible, bland, soggy, overcooked, freezerburned, and way overpriced. I will never order food from Bella's again nor can I in good conscience recommend it to anyone. Not only am I disappointed by this experience; I am disgusted and feeling slightly nauseous as I write this review. If you're going to spend $100 on pizza and Italian food for your family, spend it elsewhere. read more

All the food was great and hot when it arrived to our door. From the person on the other end of the phone when we ordered to the delivery man at the door everyone was courteous and kind and patient. First time ordering a pizza. It was so bad that my wife wouldn't even taste it. I braved a piece and regretted it. Soaked all the way through with oil. The box was even wet. The bottom of the crust was dirty black, like from an oven that hasn't been cleaned in a long time. We had such high hopes for a true Italian pizza but were disappointed. We've been waiting to try Bella's. It's been in business a few months so we went to try the pizza. We have a favorite pizza joint in Collierville as well as in Germantown so everything gets compared to those two. We ordered a half Bella's Special (spinach, tomatoes, ricotta, mozzarella) and half Supreme. The Supreme had tons of toppings, but the spouse was jealous of the molten cheese on my Special. Both were good and service was great. Not sure we will switch to Bella's on a regular basis, but it's an option. read more

I've been twice and I really liked the pizza. I like thin-crusted pizza, thus it worked well for me. The wait staff is also very friendly and checks up on you to see if your drinks are filled. The price of the pizza is really reasonable. FYI, the owners also own Jody's Donuts in the Memphis area. read more

Terrible is an understatement! I placed a to go order & I ordered 2 orders of the garlic knots, there was no garlic flavor on nothing I ordered, they actually taste like can biscuit dough soaked in vegetable oi!l I eat these all the time & thought I'd give Bella's a try...should have followed my first mind and not went to Bella's. I also ordered the Bella's White Pizza...it was so damn nasty I threw it out the car window on my way home. Their food is bland, tasteless, no garlic or Italian flavor at all!!! It was the worst $18.72 I've ever spent on pizza & garlic knots. Now I see why they only had 1 customer in there (besides me) on a Friday at 6pm. They won't be in business long for sure selling mess like that!!!! Very disappointed :-( read more

My wife dragged me here on one of her many "let's try new places" adventures. She wouldn't let me eat just pepperoni because she said that's a waste of eating at a fancy pizza place (she's soooo bossy ;) ) So I gave in and tried the Buffalo Chicken pizza. Decided to try Bellas for the first time - Grubhub delivery. We ordered a veggie, a plain cheese and a margarita pizza and i have to say there were all very good. I recommend the margarita as it tastes like the pies on Arthur Ave in the Bronx... ask for the crust to be crispy...for some reason in the south folks like their pizzas under cooked...Not sure why the reviews are not higher... we are definitely going to be ordering from Bellas again.. highly recommend it.. read more

Don't know why we haven't tried this place earlier! This is hands down, our favorite pizza in the 'Ville! (And yes, we've tried them all.) Their wings are awesome as well! (Only tried pizza and wings so can't speak for the other menu items, and have only gotten delivery so haven't dined in), but am sure will try other menu items in the future. Packed house on a Saturday! We got it to-go but loved the pizza! Pepperoni and Hawaiian (with big chunks of Canadian bacon) we're delicious.

The pizza was very good here. Though they really need smaller ones of their specialty pizza's in my opinion. Was very quiet there only a couple other people there when we ate there. Prices were a little high for my taste, for my husband and i to each get a dif pizza, because we have different likes, we spent about $45 or so, along with a salad and a couple soda's. I've had take-out from here before, and it was good. Not great, but, good. With the whole covid-19 debacle, I wanted to support small businesses in the area that are struggling, so I ordered online for a Friday night family pizza night. Of the four items I ordered, two of them were wrong. It happens. I called the restaurant, and this is where things go downhill. Basically, they use a third-party to process their online orders called "SliceLife." After explaining the problem and arguing about who did what, the restaurant blames SliceLife and tells me to call them. SliceLife blames the store and says there is nothing they can do, it's the stores fault. So, I'm out the money, with two garbage pizzas no one here will eat. Such poor customer service by both parties. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from Bella's (or any shop that uses SliceLife) again. I mean, the pizza is not great to begin with, and with such poor customer service, why would I bother? There is literally like 10 places to get pizza in this town, besides the chain stores, so, no need to put up with such poor attitudes and customer service. read more

What this little place lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in good pizza, exceptional Greek salad and caring service. The owner is really serious about the service and genuinely appreciates your business. We had pepperoni on one half and chicken Alfredo pizza on the other. This is by far the best pizza in town! I love the New York style thin crust! The servers are awesome! I came in on a Friday and and they had a full bar and about 4 or 5 tables and still were able to get our drinks and take our order pretty quickly! She kept apologizing but I noticed she was answering the phones and running around but in all I will defiantly be back! I used to be a server and I understand when you get a rush! The waiter (I think the owner) is probably the nicest person I have ever met; he was so incredibly attentive and sweet. I got the chicken parm sub, the bread was tasty and toasted to absolute perfection, I didn't love the chicken but overall it was pretty good; I would like breaded chicken breast and would pay a few more dollars for it. Everything about the stromboli was delicious, perfectly baked bread and the filling was muah! We also got the calzone, I did not try that but hear it was incredible. The marinara? Perfect. It definitely could have been better. The service was good for the most part, but the food needs some improvement. I had the Greek salad which was all right (nothing out of the ordinary) I also had the supreme pizza and ravioli. They were both mediocre. The pizza was $15.99 for a medium. I think that's too expensive. It was sort of bland and the sausage tasted a little fatty (or not well cooked) the ravioli was good, but also too expensive. My husband and I went to visit in the first few weeks they were open. We were the only customers in the place, as it was between lunch and dinner. First the server was more interested in getting her food and sitting to eat with the other employees at the table behind us than she was in helping us. Then, the food... It was the worst pizza I have ever had. No, there was a pizza place called Gourmet Pizza on Houston Levee that was about as bad as this. The ingredients tasted canned and cheap. I kept wondering, if you are going to go through all the trouble of opening a new restaurant, why not source the best ingredients and recipes? So, so disappointed. read more

Stopped in at lunch to get a sandwich to go. Ordered a steak sub with no cheese. When I got to my car (in pouring down rain) I looked at my sandwich and it had cheese melted all over it. I took it back inside. The owner/cook came from the back and yelled at me saying "the writing on the menu says it has cheese on it!" I told him that I had requested without cheese. The waitress that took my order showed him where she had written NO CHEESE at the bottom of the ticket. He was still so upset with me. He told me he would have to throw that sandwich away and make me another one. He kept saying "Menu writing says it has cheese on it. If you don't want cheese on sandwich then don't order that sandwich!" I didn't know what to say. There were only two tables with people eating but I was still so embarrassed. Thought it was going to be great when the cheese sticks were delicious and the salad looked fresh and tasty - but there was a piece of thread in my salad. I pointed this out to the server who apologized, but they should have taken it off the check. We ordered two pieces of cheese pizza which were just ok. Get Gourmet Pizza Classic instead, it is much better. Had to ask for our check even though we had already boxed up our leftovers and there was no one else in the place. read more

I gave 3 stars only because this is my first bad expierence. I have been waiting for an hour and forty five minutes for an order that was quoted 30-45 minutes. If you offer a service you should be able to handle it. My order has still not arrived...I will be disappointed when it arrives cold. Sadly no one has called to apologize or explain why the order is taking so long. Bummer.... read more

We ate there Friday night and we were very disappointed. The Greek salad was very good but overpriced for around 6.50. The large is more like a small. The worst part of the meal was the pizza. I have never seen so much grease on a pizza when it was bought out. We were all grossed out. It was a puddle of grease! The sauce was not good. The crust was ok. It was expensive too. Ending up costing over 40.00 bucks and the pizza in my freezer is better...Not recommended... read more

This place rocks. The place delivers authentic Italian food. And this ain't Pizza Hut it's good. My favorite is the supreme stuffed pizza.

If you are looking for a true east coast or NY style pizza this is where to go. Have not tried anything else but the pizza. That's what we go there for. read more

I recently moved to the Germantown/Memphis area from Georgia, and I'm sad to see that racism in Memphis is as I've heard. Pizza can't even be critiqued without a low blow racial remark that has nothing to do with pizza! Anyway, I checked Bella's out after hearing about it from the nice people at Jody's Donuts. "Wow" is my comment. The crust is so fantastic and light. I loved the red sauce on the supreme pizza, but the barbecue pizza was even better. It reminded me of why Memphis is considered one of the best barbecue cities in the U.S. I want to bathe in that sauce. It's so good. I don't care if it does cost more than all the cheap pizza chains around town. It's worth it. I'll probably visit Bella's quite often or have them deliver. Also, the family that owns it seem very sweet and attentive, and I don't care what race they are. They know how to make pizza! read more
