On the second service call, after they fixed the issue, I firmly believed the issue had been caused by their error in relation to the first call. They charged me over $200, so I questioned the reason in that I felt their original installation caused the issue; it had been less than a year, and the piece that fell off wasn't secured properly. BJ refused to accommodate, stating it wasn't his fault although he had placed the pump in the tank. I disagreed and stated that if the part had been secured correctly, it would not have fallen off. I yielded and paid Moore's. Now, today....11/20/2025 I have an issue with the tank once again. It's been a while, but I call Moore's Sand and Septic because I like them. BJ called me back shortly after I made the new appointment to tell me he refuses to come to my house because I upset his driver when I questioned the past service and why it cost me over $200 for them to screw a bolt on that they didn't tighten. It seems I hurt his feelings because, as a consumer and a customer, I questioned why I was being charged. He said, "Your wife was rude to my driver." She was not rude. I'm aware that some jobs might seem simple before the techs start the work and sometimes things are unknown until they're in the process of doing the work. However to not be able to give a general price to replace three dimmer switches! They fail to see that times are hard for nearly everyone and people have to prepare more than ever especially with the high cost of products/, etc. They could always have a disclaimer that it's just a quote and the actual cost or actual price may vary and won't be provided until after either inspection and/or repair. I'm providing this rating by seeing the astronomical horrible reviews and also my telephone experience with their customer service/scheduling department not being able to give me a quote but will charge me a fee for a quote when they can tax write off the gas and time of their employee coming out. These companies know they can do that but are ripping people off left and right. Reviews matter and it's disappointing that they've changed for the worse it appears than when we were referred to them by a well known Church/School on the westside by I-10. I've already had electricians out here numerous times as we have a home warranty company that's already done the necessary research and I know what's needed and that's to replace three dimmer switches.
