I said fine that's not a big deal I'll buy Tylenol I said it has been approved before with no issue but no problem I can purchase the syrup version. Then all of the sudden like a week later I got txt saying the medicine was ready for pick up , I thought they couldn't process it right? I found out my daughter Drs found out that they didn't processed it so she reached to the pharmacy and just like that they processed it and I got it delivered. Which is good. Then today, my sister actually receives a txt saying she has 2 medicines: a lidocaine cream and Tramadol pills. She doesn't take those meds, she hasn't been to the doctor or anything. She calls the pharmacy and whoever answers her is in a rush and doesn't even acknowledge my sister. the only thing she said was: oh, thanks for letting us know bye! And hangs up the phone. My sister felt uneasy because she can see they have charged her insurance already so she just took a drive to the pharmacy because over the phone they just hanged up on her, at the pharmacy she said they told her: oh yeah we cancelled it and ignored her. They didn't even apologize or anything at all. They need either a complete new team members or just a hardcore training. They're horrible

While a long run and what seems like its going strong, visiting CVS is very lack luster. This location is prime as it does have a pharmacy and what I believe keeps this location going for the long run. Everything else seems mediocre. In my personal experience I could find the same products else where at a lower price. The selection of items seems limited and there is just no real reason for me to come and shop. While for others, I'm pretty sure CVS is the place to be, not me. There seems to be lacking in employees. Its difficult to ask for help when I am looking for something that I may need at the time. Usually I would need to walk to the front register as there is someone there. While they do have multiple registers, usually there is only one person ringing up everyone. There is no system, no urgency, and no communication. People are just standing there, confused and frustrated, waiting for what feels like forever. This is not a one-time issue--it's every single time. This pharmacy is clearly understaffed, but more importantly, it is poorly managed. There is no triage system, no separate line for quick pickups, and no effort to move things efficiently. It's just chaos. And this is a pharmacy--people here are often sick, in pain, or just trying to get essential medication. What makes it even worse is that some of us don't even have other options. I would prefer to have my medication delivered, but my insurance does not allow it--so I'm forced to come here and deal with this situation. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and honestly a health concern to have people packed into a slow-moving line like this. Management needs to take responsibility and fix this immediately. The pharmacy is definitely not the best by several miles, but they keep this store clean and typically more stocked up than in previous years. The parking lot is pretty easy and as a stand alone location, not in a shared plaza or shopping center you can get in and out fairly quickly. I pass this location often in North Hollywood, being a beat away from North Hollywood Station and L.A. Metro hub, but tend to find myself at the other North Hollywood locations, also on Lankershim. A lot of items are locked up as part of lost prevention/inventory protection for high theft items, but this is kind of happening at several locations including the others in the area. It's not that big of location so the "y mas" might through you off. While North Hollywood is very diverse (like the SFV #MeltingPot) with an amazing Latin American & Hispanic population, pero no creo que the "and more" adds anything that shouldn't already be part of CVS including products and multilingual staff. I understand the frustations with the pharmacy alone, but I pop in for a snack, hydration, and small things and have only had an issue once with products and once with the pharmacy in the past years. Typically open everyday from 7AM to 11AM, pharmacy hours are from 10AM to 6PM or until 9PM. The pharmacy does close for lunch from 1:30PM until 2PM. Self-check out is easy.

I purchased medication that require required an ID. The entire time, the woman at the full service checkout was conversing with a customer chatting about food and other things. My thing started buzzing that I needed an attendant to help. It probably said 10 times help is on the way. She finally came and then said oh go ahead and put your date of birth in, and she walks away. No one else is around. No apology, did not check my ID, no other acknowledgments.. I stopped coming to the pharmacy a long time ago, but the store is slow and unfriendly many times. There was a younger gentleman who used to work here. He was great. The lack of good workers here also is reflected with literally everything being locked up in the facial care section. You can't even re-labels anymore because you have to wait 15 minutes for somebody to come and open the door.

When my regular CVS pharmacy didn't have a…read moreprescribed medication because it was on back order, they didn't offer any alternative, or guidance on where to find it (?). So, I searched pharmacies on yelp and called down the list of top rated to ask if they had it in stock. Was told over the phone that they could fill the prescription within the hour here so headed over. Area is not great, but it's around the corner from a great hospital where I got my first covid vaccines so street parking is possible. Once I checked in, they told me it was a 20 minute wait. No problem processing my insurance. Surprisingly, there's also a yelp check in offer! Not only did I leave with my prescription filled fairly quickly, but also with a tote, pen, and calendar. Unexpected freebies were a great finale to an otherwise stressful situation. Thank you, 986!
