She made unsolicited comments about my decision to start laser hair removal in my late twenties, which was completely inappropriate and frankly none of her business. I came in for a service that I chose for myself--not to be lectured or made to feel bad about when I decided to do it. She was also clearly in a rush to get through my appointment. I have an extremely low pain tolerance, and while I understand that isn't her responsibility, she seemed visibly frustrated that I couldn't tolerate even the lowest setting of the laser. Instead of showing any patience or understanding, she told me, "Definitely next time get a numbing cream." The entire interaction felt rushed and uncomfortable. On top of that, there were a few areas that I genuinely could not shave properly because they were difficult to reach. She told me she would laser them this time, but that next time I needed to be "more thorough" because otherwise the laser wouldn't be effective. I understand that clients are expected to shave beforehand, but there is a huge difference between giving someone a simple reminder and making them feel embarrassed or inadequate over something they genuinely could not reach. And what makes this even more frustrating is that I had a completely different experience at the Encino location. My sister had encountered the same issue there, and the technician simply had a single-use razor available and took care of the area. No attitude. No judgment. No embarrassing comments. Just basic professionalism and common sense. A beauty treatment should not leave a client feeling judged, rushed, or embarrassed. People make sacrifices to take time out of their day for themselves. You have no idea what someone has going on in their life, how long they've been saving for a treatment, or how much it may have taken for them to finally make that appointment. The absolute bare minimum should be making them feel comfortable and respected. I am beyond disappointed with the Glendale location. It is unfortunately the closest location to me, but I would rather drive farther than ever deal with this kind of treatment again. Management seriously needs to address the way clients are being treated at this location.

Out of everywhere I've gone, besides my previous go-to salon, the ladies here are the only other ones who have actually been able to do my eyebrows exactly the way I like them. This was only my second time going, but it definitely won't be my last! I completely forgot the name of the first lady who did my eyebrows when I came in for the first time, but she had them perfect. When I came back for my second visit, I showed another stylist how the previous lady had shaped them, and she got them spot on too! Like I said, my eyebrows are thick and stubborn, so I know they can be a pain to shape and match, but these ladies have already mastered them! I've loved everything about the salon and the service so far. As soon as you walk in, they're super welcoming and quick to attend to you. Both times I've gone, I haven't waited more than 10 minutes! Called and made an appointment for a facial. Hard to make an appointment due to their time schedule and mine, but finally got one in. The room where you get your facial is too small. The gurney is against the wall so the person doing my facial can't walk around me, but it was okay. She searched for every black head she could find on my nose and face. Very thorough. Also very painful having those pushed out, but I felt like I definitely got my moneys worth. The second time I went, I had a different person doing my facial, and she wasn't as through as the first person, but it was ok. Getting your underarm waxed here isn't painful. It was okay, but I feel like the European Wax Center does a better job. Still gonna come back here though for facials and underarm waxing due to the cost and convenience of free parking.
