I'm honestly baffled how this place has the audacity to call what they do a "Russian manicure." I've had real Russian manicures before, and this wasn't even in the same zip code of quality. First of all, they left my cuticles looking untouched and messy. The polish? Bumpy, uneven, and far from the sleek, glassy finish you'd expect. Then there's the chrome -- which was applied so poorly and sloppily, it's literally peeling off day by day like cheap stickers. I sat there for TWO hours, only to have to come back and waste even more time for a partial correction that still didn't fix the mess. And now, just a few days later, my nails look like I need a whole new set -- already! $100 for what?? Very poor work, very unprofessional, and definitely not worth the price. Best most professional service! Shushan was amazing from start to finish! The consultation she invited me to come immediately and the service was booked the next day. We did the root touch up and she made my hair a beautiful blonde color that perfectly match my extensions, my hair is still very soft , I'm so happy! Then we did k-tip extensions and it added the length in the places my hair had been cut , evening out my hair and she gave my the stylish blunt cut of my dreams. I hadn't left a review as soon as I received the service because I wanted to sit on it and see if I would change my mind, unfortunately I haven't changed my mind. The whole concept of this place is nice, but honestly if you speak English it's better to not even step foot in here. You can't communicate well on what you want, I honestly wanted to love my hair but it isn't what I wanted, I also wanted curtain bangs and the stylist didn't even know how to do them. There's only a couple of people that speak English here and they're not very eager to help or understand what you're looking for. They do give you cake and coffee for a lengthy service but to be honest I was there more than 5 hours for something I didn't even want. I booked an appointment for a blow out at a different salon in the area that looked great on social media but unfortunately they had terrible service and still hadn't taken me- even 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I was still waiting there. So I did. I got a mens manicure and pedicure each are supposed to be 45 mins. She finished both in 30. I could tell she was rushed and wanted to leave fast. She cut my nails shorter than I asked. My mom and I scheduled two hair and makeup appointments about 5-6 months before our event. The agreed upon arrangement was one of us would get our hair done while the other gets their makeup done and we would switch. We also were given specific names of the stylists we would work with and even paid a deposit. We told them the time we needed to get out of the salon and were assured it would be no problem. Come the day before our event, we were only sent a single confirmation text for the four different appointments that were scheduled. The hairstylist that we had also agreed to work with had left the country without notice. We called the day before to make sure we had our necessary arrangements in place and were assured that we did and everything would go smoothly. It absolutely did not go smoothly. The morning of our appointment we showed up 10 minutes early and were told to wait (no problem at all on our end - we were early). Come appointment time and past (it was 8:15, 15 mins after our appointment time and we were still waiting) we come to find out we were double booked on all ends. One hairstylist took me while they told my mom to wait for her makeup artist. She waited 45 minutes even though she was supposed to start at 8. Only after her voicing her concern, we were given a half ass attempt to resolute our problem. It seems that the makeup artist had scheduled in someone and hoped we wouldn't notice or care. One of the stylists even gave attitude and insinuated since their client was late to their appointment it's not our fault and we should wait/be late as well. My mom's makeup was done in a rushed fashion just so we could make the time constraints. When she finished she waited another 15 mins (9:20 at this point) so someone can take her to do her hair. The hair and makeup produced were average. Touchups were needed throughout the day and the makeup needed to be matched to the neck once we got home. We barely made it out of the salon at 10:40 even though we needed to be out by 10. The vibe was very bratty and tense at the salon. The stylists were giving attitude to us because we were upset and stressed that we were running late and that our morning started off in such an upsetting way. Rather than trying to calm us down or fix their mistakes, they made us feel tense and upset. The morning of our event began in such a negative way I cannot describe it. I've never in my life felt so little, insecure, and uncomfortable in a salon in my life. The woman who did my hair was wonderful, she definitely tried to calm our anxiety, but it was no avail. Many people have asked me post event for hair and makeup studios and I only have a few words for them - anyone BUT studio one. Hopefully in the future, no one else has an experience like this. read more
