Booked pedicures for my daughter and I using spafinder card that I had received for a gift. The owner was very responsive with the booking and got us back to back appointments (you can't do side by side because there is only one nail tech). On the day of our appointment there was an accident next door that blocked traffic so they called us to tell us to come another way. Unfortunately it also meant our nail tech was running quite late. She and the owner were both very apologetic. When we entered, there wasn't anyone at the front desk to greet us so we weren't sure who to tell about our appointment. A lot of employees were just standing around talking. It would have been nice to offer water to clients, especially during a nearly hour delay. We were pleasantly surprised when the owner gifted us some color wow products to apologize for the wait. I'm very eager to try these! She also discounted the pedicure by $5 each. I loved the nail tech, Irene. I haven't had a pedicure in years so my feet were a mess. Irene is warm and has an amazing personal story. My feet look incredible! Came back to see Fred for both a cut and color this time. He went a bit shorter, shaping the cut to my head form and optimizing the curls. The color he concocted was a light beige blonde with a few sun kissed highlights. So natural looking and will look fantastic with my original color as it grows out. Once again, Fred followed up the next day to enquire "...how is your hair treating you today?" Fantastic. I just wet it, scrunched in some leave in conditioner and the curls sprang back easily. On a side note, my daughter opted for a mani/pedi this time and wa wry pleased with Irene's work. Color and nail shape is extremely flattering and will last well. For more than 20 years I'd driven past the salon and thought how nice it looked, but never went in. Today, my mother-in-law and I finally did. The numerous flights of stairs were hard on her joints, but when we made our way into the building, there were more stairs. The salon looks fabulous; cool, shady, quiet, almost church-like. Everyone was busily worshiping at the altar of beauty. The first words spoken to us were not "Hello," or "May/Can I help you?" but "Do you have an appointment?" Well, no, but we were interested in making an appointment, though. And we waited. Not terribly long, but it felt long. We got a lot of disinterested side-eye. I have to update this review. After washing and styling myself, I'm very upset with my haircut and am going to schedule one with a different salon as soon as possible. I was specific about what I was looking for but the hairdresser told me that he didn't really need to know what I wanted because the way he cuts hair, "it cuts itself." I spent $100 on a haircut that doesn't look that different. My hair is still too long. I didn't get the layers or fuller fringe I wanted. However, the cut he gave IS uneven. It looks worse than if I cut it myself. I'm so frustrated. I also don't like being pressured into posting a five-star review. read more

I have been coming to Arnol's Salon and Spa for 10+ years. (Don't tell anybody, but I am not the natural blonde that I appear to be.) Because of this travesty, I have to get my roots done every five weeks or so. Although I live almost 15 miles away, I make the journey because I love this salon, the people who run it and their services so much. It's always super clean in there, with a classy, elegant vibe. You're usually greeted by someone friendly like Debbie, the daughter of Arnol himself. There is a big comfy couch in the waiting area should you have to wait, (although I never do.) I always make an appointment with my regular hairstylist, Alla - and she is there waiting for me every time I arrive. Every stylist in there is great though, and they always ask if they can get me water or coffee. The restrooms smell good and are clean, and they also play good music. I recommend this salon for any of your hair styling needs - and even massage needs. It's no wonder this place has been in business for 30+ years. Great service, great work and great people. Let me start off with Debbie (owner of Arnol and spa) and how observant she is! She is one of my regulars where I work at and noticed that I had chopped my hair off. She then mentioned that she owns a salon and gave me her card. She's always been so sweet and nice to me so without any hesitation, I decided to take a gamble give her salon a shot. I called her and she was able to give me an appointment at such a short notice with Gohar. The place is huge and noticed all the services and amenities the salon had. I'm always observant with the energy of a salon. This salon was definitely warm and friendly. The ladies (and a man who I later found out is 70 years old) really treated each other like a family. It's nice to get service from a place where people are genuine. As for my haircut, I wanted an edgy hair cut, an asymmetrical A-line (with one side shorter). I also got a balayage and I honestly wasn't expecting much from the hair color. I came in mostly interested with the haircut. I am so pleased with how the color turned out! I have Asian black hair with warm undertones so any bleach just turns brassy for me. I can typically tell right away the moment the hairdresser dries my hair if this is going to be an issue, but to my surprise, the color turned out to be a nice beautiful light brown color. I was blown away! Gohar is super talented and definitely has taken styling hair to the next level. She's an artist! The way she cut my hair was actually so soothing and I just let her work her magic on me. By the time I was done, I couldn't believe how much i love my hair. She listened to what I wanted, and surpassed what I had expected. Definitely coming back at Arnol and spa to try their facial services. I can honestly say I was really lucky to have found this place! I called this salon to set up an appointment for my hair and nails on the Wednesday before new years. Debbie (the person I talked to on the phone) was extremely nice and helpful. She asked my lots of questions about my hair type and texture because she wanted to make sure she's find the best hairstylist for my type of hair. She was also able to schedule my hair and nail appointment back to back so it was soooo convenient for me not to have to go somewhere else for my nails. My hairdresser Fred was incredibly nice!!! I have thick curly hair and have struggled with finding a good hairstylist that not only can do a good job at straightening my hair, BUT can also make the hairstyle last. In the process of styling my hair he was giving my great tips on curly hair care! I trusted his process of strengthening curly hair and he did not disappoint!!! My hair was super silky smooth! I've never had my hair that straight and smooth before! It was super soft! AND THE BEST PART is that it lasted for days! Even in rainy weather! Fred was even nice enough to offer me free touch ups on my hair if I needed it for New Years! but I didn't need them because my hair was still looking great! Then I got my nails done by Irene! She was super helpful, kind and friendly! She gave me exactly what I wanted and I'm soooo happy with my nails!!!! They're super classy!!! All in all, I had a great experience here! The staff is incredibly friendly, nice and care for your specific needs. 2020 has been an awkward year but the staff at Arnol make you feel safe the second you walk in the door. They take your temperature at the door, have you fill out a quick health questionnaire, hand sanitizers available when needed, no more than 25% capacity and lock the door behind you so no walk-ins come inside. I also see the staff sanitizing their stations after every client, which is nice to see. Fred is incredibly talented with hair. II've been going to Gohar for about 4 years now. She is the best hairstylist I've found. She can do any cut and is a GREAT colorist. My last visit, I came in with colored brown hair and a gray streak down the middle. I explained to Gohar how tired I am from coloring my hair and asked her help She put so many foils in my hair to lighten it! I was scared to death that my hair would be completely ruined. Not the case at all...Gohar did a remarkable job in lightening my hair to the perfect shade and did not damage it!!!! I was so surprised and pleased with the outcome!
