Went there for the first time for a regular mani and pedi. It was around lunch time and I walked in but got someone to help me right away. The place is beautiful! I LOVE the decor, and how spacious and clean it looks. They have a large selection of colors and comfortable chairs for the pedi sessions. Their prices are pretty standard (paid $15 for manicure and $25 for regular pedi) and the service was done in a timely fashion. I actually felt very relaxed during my foot massage. The ladies were all very nice and friendly. My pedicure came out perfect but my manicure didn't look as good. Every time I go get my nails done and have to file them once I get back home, I know something is not right. Overall I don't think my nails looked much different than if I had done them myself at home... but it wasn't terrible either. Just not perfectly shaped (one nail was so badly filed it was s complete diagonal line) and cuticles everywhere. I still think I will go back because I enjoyed the environment. I went to the nail salon to get a filter and a polish change for a regular polish the fill with gel polish and I told the lady that my nails were lifting. She told me that I was wrong and that they were not lifting. And I just said OK, and then my sister I got I just polish change it to regular polish, the next day I looked at my nails and it looks like they've been done for almost 2 weeks they look overgrown three days later on Saturday four out of my 10 nails had fallen off because shocker they were lifting and they popped off will not be going back read more

For the second time. This is the second review I've left. This place is terrible. I was here once and had the worst experience and tried again just to see if maybe it was just a bad day for them. No they are just bad. Here's a picture of my nails that I could have done at home better. I had a terrific experience at this beautiful nail spa. The planning and thought that went into the layout, beautiful decor and functionality of Bella Nail Bar make you feel like you are having a true "spa" experience. This service is a luxury, and the environment is nothing short of luxurious. The owners really out did themselves. The customer service aspect was excellent for the nail spa industry. Upon entry to the establishment, there is a beautiful reception desk and cheery receptionist. I signed in and was greeted by the owner who promptly sat me with Serena (absolutely beautiful girl inside and out). I chose colors for my powder dip as old color was removed. I was offered a mimosa during this time, which I thought was an elegant touch. All work was done carefully and methodically-was no feeling of being rushed (which I have felt at several other spas). The energy was relaxed and it was great getting to know my nail technician/artist. I will definitely be a committed customer after this experience. Been a loyal customer for years. I go in yesterday to get my nails done. The owner picked out my color and when they were putting it on my nails I kept saying it wasn't the same color that was on the swatch but he kept going. After my appointment I showed him the 2 colors were completely different. Go back in today to get it fixed because I hate the color and the nail tech wanted to argue with me because he had to fix it. Had he listened to me yesterday I wouldn't have had to go back. I picked out the color I wanted (which was the same color I wanted yesterday and didn't get) and he said he wasn't going to do that because he didn't think I would like it. I again showed him that the color I wanted and the color he used were 2 different colors and he kept arguing with me. So I left because he didn't want to fix his screw up. I went to get an acrylic fill. She insisted that I needed a full set because they were lifting somewhat. I said okay, she proceeded to rip my acrylics off and tried to peel them instead of soaking them. We all know ripping nails off is 1. Painful but 2 dangerous because it can potentially rip off your natural nail as well. Which is what happened. I pulled my hand away twice and said ouch! I just asked them to be removed and I will go to Greenfield Nails and spa instead, where they do things right and safely. I've never been disappointed there. I settled for Bella's because it's closer but what an awful experience. My nails are now undone and one is bleeding and exposed. Not okay at all. My mother and I can here to get a pedicure and it was not a good experience. It was rushed, she forgot the top coat on my mother's toes, and then we sat there for 20 minutes waiting for someone to help put our shoes back on. They only rushed out from the back after realizing they still had to take our money. A month after that I took off the polish only to find that I had toenail fungus were the polish had been. I wrote a bad Google review then. Now I'm writing a Yelp review to say my mom continued to go there after me warning her, and now she has nail fungus. This place used to be great. I just don't think the manager likes me. I was told need to make an appointment in the past, so I don't have a wait. Because I've taken my grandma and sister and had to wait 45 min for service to start when was told 20. The last straw was Sunday, when I walked up to the manager after sitting awhile and asked her to start service. I told her I was in a rush, because I had family pictures that day. People that walked in after me got pedicures and started getting their nails done before I got started. She claimed she thought I was waiting for a particular tech, but I called in and she told me the tech was unavailable. I signed my name in when I walked in the door, but the manager said she didn't know who I was when she apologized for making me wait 40 minutes for someone to start doing my nails. If I did not have pictures that day, I would have walked out a lot sooner to go to another salon. I will not be returning. I have brought friends and family here, but not anymore. Honestly super disappointed with this place, i went in for matte coffin shaped nails. The nail tech that i got made my index finger super crooked so i asked him to fix it, he fixed it by filing it down super short( for me) then having to even it out by making ALL my nails shorter. So short they could no longer be coffin. I wanted a design on each nail, which i felt i had to beg him for. He kept saying "designs on just 2 nails look nicer" he finally did do each nail. I was hoping for matte nails, he did not do matte. He said "shinny looks better" i told him i perfer the matte, even the nail tech next to him said "she said matte" he just said "shinny looks classier". If I could give this place zero stars I would. My sister-in-law who happens to be Vietnamese was getting her nails done this evening and her nail tech decided to speak to a peer and call my sister-in-law fat. I was a little surprised to hear that they were openly speaking about my sister in law but they assumed she didn't speak the language. This is our go to nail salon now for my family. The staff is friendly and provide excellent service every time we've been in there. The manager is personable and always remembers to ask me if I want my eyebrows waxed because I forget to tell them so when I arrive. My four year old niece gets her nails done here as well and the staff is very patient and kind to her as well. read more

Went with the daughter and grandkids and had 1 full set of nails and pedicures for the other 4. Seemed ok. Cost 128 plus tips. Went 2 weeks later got 1 fill, 1 full set for a 10 yr old and 3 basic pedicures, 1 of which was for an 8 yr old and insist of nail polish and a foot soak. That cost 198 plus tips. No way according to their menu did that work out. No receipt was given so we couldn't see what they charged. Nails were average, pedicures were very basic and the fill was very sub par. We had appointments that were made the day before, two got in on time, 1 had to wait 15 minutes and I had to wait 25 minutes. I would say everything was average except the prices and those were what ever they wanted to charge. There are 5 of us and I will find somewhere else to take all my kids and grandkids because they have lost our business. I've filed a complaint with the BBB. Poor service is one thing but theft is entirely different. I've read several reviews with the same complaint. read more

This place is close to my home and was looking for a back up salon as I go to beautiful place in Chandler but when close to home or have no travel time I would have some ace to go. I went in for a pedicure and my daughter received a fill and fix for her nails. The lady who did my pedicure barely engaged me at all I had to ask her how she was doing and so on, when my pedicure was done she simply got up and walked away I thought maybe she was going to get a top coat because that was not added to my pedicure, after approximately 5 minutes I asked the other ladies where she went and they said she was hungry and went in the back to eat food, I asked would my pedicure be finished they said she was finished already, well that would have been nice to know. My daughter nails came out pretty decent she likes them They received 3 stars because of location and decor but please understand that customer service is important too. Update- I added A star because I went back today and they fixed my nails. The owner initially wanted to charge me HALF of what a new set with gel color would cost because apparently you shouldn't go to them for an acrylic fill unless you got your initial full set from them.... Chemical Reaction was why they said the nails looked like garbage and cracked after 9 days. I wasn't able to honestly give them any more stars because; For customer service being their "priority" they did not speak to me and they made several attempts to change what I had on my nails when I walked in. Then I noticed my thumb nail was HALF covered with a top coat. After sitting there for an hour and 40 minutes to have the first trip corrected, it is not worth my time to go back and try and have the correction to the first problem, corrected. Sadly, I won't be going back. And my friend with her shotty gel pedicure that she had to have REDONE after 7 days, will not be returning either. read more

Stopped by there today as they are close to my home and was hoping to find a Nail Salon that I can keep going to. I got a healing pedicure and powder manicure .. after asking about different options and what the differences were. Only answer I got regarding the questions was that this manicure lasts longer. I asked for cleanup of dead skin and calluses on my feet which was supposed to be included. She nodded and skipped right over it. During my manicure I asked about cuticle cleanup. She nodded. Towards the end I asked again about cuticle cleanup and then learned it was extra. Then after my manicure I asked 3 times about the gunk buildup under my nails and gave 3 opportunities to clean it up yet still there and still stuck. Apparently this is normal after this type of manicure?! I doubt it. Clearly something that could have been explained when I asked details about manicure options. read more

Today I came in the place is packed I tell them no worries I will come back @2. And I did I was there for a couple hours I got a new set, pedicure and my daughter got a nail color change a total of $93.. which money is not an issue if I get quality. The customer service was okay and I saw they were short handed. While I was getting my pedi I was also getting my full set. It looked okay once all done until I got to my car and in natural light. The acrylic is so thick and uneven, my cuticles were not cleaned up at all. It looks bumpy and horrible not to mention it's so uneven and my finger ness hurt; I'm so disappointed. I was visiting Mesa for just a few days and last minute decided that a pedicure was needed, then thought that inviting three other family members was a good idea. Bella Nail Bar was the only place that could accommodate four adults plus a child at the last minute. I was able to book through yelp and they got back to me immediately. I had the Deluxe Pedicure which was fabulous! It included an exfoliation, sugar scrub, paraffin, and massage. My legs and feet look and feel amazing. I really wanted to like this place because of all the great reviews, and the look and feel of the salon is beautiful. However I just got my nails done here, and I left feeling very unsatisfied. I got the sns dip and no cleanup was done whatsoever. There is residue of the color all over my skin. I also asked if sns was good for split nails since I am trying to grow one out (I don't get manicures very often so don't really know the difference between gel, dip, etc). She said yes, however my nail still looks clearly split. I think some sort of fake nail over it might have been better to help it grow out? But I'm giving this place 2 stars because on my first visit I got a pedicure and it was great. I won a giveaway with the fitness center next door that included gift certificates to this salon. I was excited to give a new place a try...unfortunately I was gravely disappointed. This was my first visit, but it will not be my last. This spa is different...people in here engage with each other, theres laughter and smiles. That was my first impression. The work, and I do mean work, on my nails was flawless. I got exactly what I wanted and no one tried to upsell me. We had a discussion about the color I had picked out, but in the end she was right. I normally have a good experience at this salon but this time my nail technician, i believe is the receptionist. She was attempting to take off 2 acrylic nails I had on left so I was able to get a nee full set. She took an acrylic tip and shoved it under my acrylic. In doing this she ripped open my nail and it proceeded to start bleeding. I had a design planned out which i was now not able to do because you could see the blood underneath the acrylic. After asking for some sort of discount or compensation for her hurting my nail, causing it to bleed and messing up my design, i had to argue with her only to get a $5 discount. She stated that since I said it was okay and i wanted to still have a nail put on that i said it was "okay" that she cut me. I told her that I have had soaks off which is a safer method of removal and she said it would have taken 30 mins longer which proves that this salon prioritizes how quickly they get clients out instead of their well being and their happiness with their service. I am always pleased with the job they do and their salon is SO clean, however I just left with a $50 pedicure... The last time I came in I swear I paid $45 for my pedicure with Gel, I did the $35 pedi and the man said Gel was an extra $10 and I said that's fine. However , today I went and it ended up being $50, I asked the woman at the counter and she said it was $15 extra... I know it's a $5 difference but I always tip so I had to tip on top of $50 :/ Nor did they let me know what the extra charge would be for gel but I assumed it was the same as last time so I thought I was paying what I usually had in the past, $15 for gel is a bit much though.
