This is our GO TO place when we want an incredible dinner experience as a couple or with family. We've been here many times and the staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. We actually moved further away and still commute here because we love it so much. We want to give a special shout out to Hunter, our cheese wheel king! Our server Colin was also exceptional. read more

So much to say about Bella! We had all been looking forward to coming here since we were in town visiting family who are regulars and always rave about it. Located in downtown Maryville, there is plenty of parking available. Since we were a large group, we were seated upstairs, which I loved. The view overlooking the restaurant was good, and it felt more private with only one other table next to us. Our server, Jack, was one of the best servers I've ever had! If I ever owned a restaurant, I would hire him! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive and made the whole experience even better. Most of our group ordered the tableside pasta wheel and loved it. I had the penne allá vodka and couldn't get enough of it, while my husband really enjoyed their wide selection of bourbon. I can definitely see Bella becoming our go-to Italian spot whenever we're back as locals in Maryville! read more

We had Evan this time, and he was fantastic. He gave us some great recommendations, including the Watermelon Sugar cocktail. I was afraid it might be making its seasonal exit now that summer is over, so obviously I had to try it. Despite the name and the sugar rim, it was surprisingly not too sweet. I really hope this one sticks around for our next visit. Of course, I got the Greenway again because apparently I am incapable of learning to order anything else when I already know what I love. We also tried the Golden Daisy without the simple syrup, and it was boozy and delicious. We finally branched out on the food and tried the artichokes and Brussels sprouts. If you like your Brussels sprouts on the sweeter side, these are excellent. They are basically swimming in this delicious glaze. The artichokes were amazing too, and we immediately wished there had been more on the plate. The chili aioli they came with was so good that we ordered a side of it just for dipping our Parmesan fries and had a sauce flight situation going on. The Caesar salad and fries also made a pretty great girl-dinner. Then came the cheese wheel pasta. I tried to convince myself that maybe this time I should order something different, but I just can't stray. It is consistently, ridiculously good every single time. We added chicken this time, and I highly recommend the protein upgrade. I did feel a little bad for the guy making the pasta because we were in the middle of a serious conversation and probably did not give him the audience he deserved while he was performing the cheese-wheel magic. He was so gracious about it and even gave us some little cheese snacks straight from the wheel, which was a very appreciated bonus. We really wanted to try Evan's recommendation of the apple dessert, but at that point we had officially reached the "we physically cannot fit one more thing" stage of dinner. Maybe next time we'll come prepared to make better decisions. Or, more realistically, we'll order all the desserts and a Caesar salad and call it dinner. Another consistently great night at Bella. read more

I realize restaurants have to be profitable in order to stay in business. However, I asked for an extra piece of bread and I was shocked that they charged me an additional $ 1.50. My friend ordered a Manhattan cocktail which is supposed to be served with a cherry and asked for one more. Guess what! She was charged $ 2.00 for both. This is way beyond reasonable and I feel that patrons do not appreciate being gauged over those little extra charges. Charge a little more and be done with it. read more

Great food, great service and a great overall meal. They also cater to my wife's gluten allergy with good gluten free pasta.

Bella is a place I can take my Belle for special occasions. Service was excellent and overall I really enjoyed the food, with a few minor exceptions. For the appetizers, I really liked the presentation of the focaccia bread with a table-side drizzle of olive oil and with a pesto, goat cheese, and a bulb of cooked garlic. We also enjoyed the arancini, which is basically fried risotto. I didn't like my main as much. I had the mushroom rigatoni. As I'm not a vegetarian I had to try a side of meatballs which I did enjoy. While I really enjoyed the nuttiness from the toasted hazelnuts, the mushrooms were very chewy, almost as if they'd been rehydrated, and a lot of the pasta was pretty dried out. Needed more sauce for the rigatoni. I can see how the dish can satisfy a vegetarian option but it would also be perfect with grilled chicken. I took a bite of the creamy Tuscan shrimp and thought the shrimp was perfectly cooked and very creamy. And the pork chop with polenta had an interesting sweetness to it. While I wouldn't order my entree again, the service plus the other dishes makes them a 5 for me. You Bella believe I'll be back! read more

I love Bella! Given dining choices in Maryville, this is the probably my favorite non-steakhouse higher end dining spots. Their food is consistently very good. I especially like the restaurant atmosphere. It's very comfortable, upper scale and no matter how packed you can have a conversation with your table mates and everyone can be heard. The bar has most of the standards...even higher end options. It never ceases to irk me that they either don't carry Hendricks gin or are always out. Must try dish at Bella is Pasta in the Wheel. Fettuccine pasta flambé in a grana padano cheese wheel can be ordered as an appetizer or main course. Truly decadent! read more

From the welcoming hosts to the very accommodating and friendly wait staff, service was top notch. Well appointed decor, with a large bar and outdoor seating available. Starting with a delicious appetizer of arancini, which is fried risotto balls with mozzarella and a tangy pomodoro sauce, we didn't venture far from traditional Italian dishes with our choices of lasagna, and chicken Marsala. Tasty, and portioned nicely, with my only suggestion being for the angel hair to be cooked al dente and the sauce to have a little more flavor. The chicken and mushrooms were perfect, however. Also, a very impressive wine list. Overall, an enjoyable experience, and highly recommended for those who don't think Olive Garden is real Italian food and Sutter Home white zinfidal is good wine read more

If you're anywhere near Maryville and craving quality Italian food, do yourself a favor and go to Bella. I had the fettuccine Alfredo and the chicken parm, and both were absolutely delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the Alfredo sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being too heavy. The chicken parm? Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and smothered in just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming--perfect for a date night, family dinner, or just treating yourself. Service was attentive and friendly, and everything came out hot and fresh. You can tell they care about what they're serving. Bella is a hidden gem in Maryville that I'll definitely be returning to! read more

The best upscale Italian food in Maryville. Nice ambiance, great staff, and nice drinks. The food can be hit or miss. I've had amazing meals, and some not so amazing meals. When the food cost that much you definitely remember the bad meals more because of the price. The Sunday brunch is "good", but nothing to get excited about. read more

OMG Bella is my new favorite restaurant. Of course it's pricey, but it is so worth it. My waiter was amazing and really made my birthday dinner experience even better. Went to Bella for my 29th birthday celebration. I have been to Bella once before for a company Christmas party which they do large parties in the upstairs area. Where for that the food was amazing. The service was great as well then so I give it a 10 out of 10 on service food. I also give a 10 out of 10 I had the lasagna which I had both times my friend had the Alfredo where the cheese is grated and melted in front of you which was an amazing experience. I tried the dessert and I wasn't a fan of it, but my friend also says that it's a 10 out of 10 and another friend of mine had the salmon and she reports 10 out of 10. read more

We went here for a girls lunch which it is absolutely perfect for. It's such a cute little and elegant place. We love pasta and wanted to stay closer to Maryville. Food was delicious and the chicken was beautifully tender and juicy on the fettuccine, the dip was hot and cheesy, and the Tuscan pasta was something that will be ordered again. Our waiter was very polite and chit chatted a little bit about the upcoming holidays. We will definitely make this a regular place every time I come to Tennessee which is several times a year. Definitely recommend for date nights too. read more

Perfect date night spot! Truly the best blackberry margarita I've ever had in all of TN. And let's not get started on the pasta. Came here today for a very belated Birthday lunch with my husband. It was our second time here and just reminded us of how great this place is. Everything from start to finish was really good. Our server Terri-Lynne (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was amazing. She was attentive and friendly and gave great recommendations. We started off with their arancini which was super flavorful. You get six of them paired with their sweet and spicy pomodoro sauce, they were nice and crispy on the outside and melty on the inside. The sauce was really good with it. I got their combination lunch with their beet salad and the penne al pomodoro. I had the salad last time I was here and it was just as good as I remembered it. Nice, light and refreshing. The pears and beets have great texture to it. The penne was perfectly cooked with a slight chew and went nicely with the sauce and the burrata cheese that was on top. My husband, got the short rib flatbread which was really tender meat and the bread cooked nicely. Everything tasted amazing. Since we were celebrating my belated birthday, our server brought out a dessert for us. I chose the apple crostata with the vanilla gelato on top. It was light and flaky with the apples being perfectly tender. I loved the cider sauce that was drizzled over it. Between the two of us we demolished it. It was just so good. I really enjoyed our lunch here. The service and the food were both spot on and it's a great place to have a little date in the middle of the day. We will definitely be back. read more

As always, everything about Bella was nice. Rachael was our bartender and we look forward to seeing her when we come to Bella. She makes a mean drink, and is incredibly pleasant. Everything was good! No problems and enjoyed everything! I don't think you will be disappointed if you try it out!!

Went to Bella restaurant in Maryville for birthday dinner. Ordered lasagna, worst choice I could have made. It was so spicy and so much garlic I couldn't taste the pasta or sauce. Another of our party ordered another pasta dish and he said it was also laced with too much garlic, and we both love garlic! Unless they do something about their pasta dishes, I won't be returning. read more

I had dropped by Bella once without a reservation on a Friday night and they seemed pretty busy. Went back for a group outing from work about 12 of us. They allowed us to use the private room upstairs which was nice. Great tap list with solid choices up and down and the whiskey and tequila selections were great as well. You can definitely find 2 fingers of your favorite pour. We ordered basically every appetizer and the garlic dip, calamari, fried artichokes and meatballs were all outstanding. Great execution on them all. I decided on the mushroom rigatoni which turned out pretty well. The game changer here is the pasta rolled around in the giant cheese wheel. They have a large and small option to choose from and that is some cheesy pasta! I would skip the ribeye, it was mediocre. There were several chocolate martinis going around and the cocktails were solid. We all enjoyed their desserts, the tiramisu looks incredible and the lavender cheesecake was unique. Our waitress Savannah was incredible, she kept us company and our food flowed seamlessly from course to course. Overall make a reservation and bring your significant other, it's a great date night spot. read more

The food and service is not worth it. People rave about this place, but I don't get the hype.

The food was very good! However, they were understaffed and several requests to our server when unanswered. The table side preparation at our table was very underwhelming and not up to the amazing demonstration at the table next to us. We were treated to dinner to celebrate our 50th anniversary and while we enjoyed the company, the experience was just OK. read more

Overall, it was a very good experience. The focaccia bread appetizer was very very good, although I'm not a goat cheese fan. But the waiter Alex, was great, and was very happy to bring me some regular butter. But the pesto sauce was amazing to dip the bread in. Definitely recommend the focaccia bread appetizer. I got the tuna salad and a salad itself was excellent, I didn't care for the Aahi tuna as I felt like it was too chewy and not quite crisp enough. Kind of too meaty and cold. But I would order it again. My friend got the pasta dish with the white fish and loved it. Excellent dish. For dessert we got the blueberry cheesecake, which was just OK, there was something bitter tasting in the Dish and I think it was the crust. Although it was worth getting, I'll try something different next time. I got a classic margarita with salt on the rim and it was OK, there was a bittersweet flavor in it which I didn't care for but overall it was a good drink. And my friend got a chocolate martini which was indeed excellent. Overall I'll definitely be back at Bella, it's a great place, great atmosphere. read more

The food was absolutely amazing we had the beet salad and mushroom rigatoni and app of fried Brussels. The Brussels came in some type sauce which was delicious. Went to Bella for a birthday date night and was NOT disappointed!! We started with the bread sampler that comes with a roasted garlic bulb and pesto-- it is a must have. That honestly may have been the highlight of the evening! My partner tried the vodka pasta-- definitely rich, but delicious, while I had a pomodoro sauce that came with fresh buratta. Mine was certainly less heavy than the vodka sauce, but that's to be expected. Our server was clearly attentive and kind-- asked about our day and our occasion for eating. We even got to select a complimentary dessert since it was my birthday. The tiramisu is heavenly, but we were FULL. We did not leave hungry and were super happy with our experience. We ended up spending about $60 for two entrees and the bread, but you can certainly rack up a higher bill with other menu items. read more

I had the immense pleasure of dining at Bella over the weekend and can't say enough about what a great experience it was. The service was impeccable, friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, and the food?! (chef's kiss) Cocktails- on point (try the lucky penny), table side cheese-wheel fettuccini-a delectable event, spinach artichoke dip-best I've ever had, chicken parm-don't get me started, perfect blend of crispy and moist; even the baked fresh daily focaccia service was amazing, and take home the tiramisu if you can't fit it in your stomach. I will start the review by saying I booked a reservation on ressy and did not properly look at the different menus on the restaurant website. So I will definitely go back for dinner. With that said, a group of us went for an early NYE dinner at 2pm. We hen we walked in there was a waitress asking the hostess why another server was getting all the seats. I will know that the restaurant was not crowded for 2 PM on NYE and had plenty of Empty tables. Then we were sat in the server section who was already over seated. We had to go up to the hostess stand after we were seated for 20 minutes with out even being asked for our drink order. And the server had the nerve to ask if we were ready to place our appetizers and food order which seemed too rushed. We ordered the calamari and the truffle fries for appetizers. Those were delicious and they came out hot. For our party of five one individual ordered the lasagna, one ordered the Alfredo, one person ordered the penne pommodo, we had a Tuscan chicken penne, and then the shrimp pasta. The lasagna appeared to only have one layer of noodles. There was too much sauce that overpowered the dish. The noodles on the penne and Alfredo were cold as I imagine they mass produce the pasta and then rely on the sauces to warm up the dish but it fell short. The Alfredo sauce could not even be counted as Alfredo sauce, it was more of pasta, tossed and olive oil. It was so bad we didn't even eat it. The pommodo sauce was okay, would have been better if it was hot, the meatballs I added were cold and nothing special. The best dish for the entire lunch was the Panini. We also were not asked if we wanted any more cheese or Parmesan to top any of the pasta dishes. As I started the review, I wanted to eat there for the pasta and cheese bowl where they light the cheese on fire and then coat the pasta but they do not offer that for lunch and did not reference the actual website's different menus. I would like to go back for dinner to which I hope that is when the good servers work and we can chose off the dinner menu. Lunch is not where it is at for this restaurant. We just thought we would beat the the crowd. Left disappointed and hungry. read more

My husband and I dined here for our anniversary. We had a very romantic experience here. The food was delicious and the Pasta Wheel is a must-have. The menu doesn't explain your options very well, but you can either order 1 entrée or 2 sides (for 2 people) in order to receive the table side pasta service. You can also order proteins (meatballs, shrimp, steak, salmon) at an additional cost which isn't stated on the menu. We thought the Salmon was better than the Sirloin due to flavor and texture. Both needed a little more seasoning, but overall it was tasty. Next time, I want to try the Octopus, Meatballs, and Beef Short Ribs! read more
