Never been a Hooters kind of person, but I dont really enjoy sports bars. I finally went for the first with some friends and I couldn't be more pleased than if I had gone to another restaurant. Our waitress, Halie/Hallie(?) was outstanding. Always smiling, took time to talk with us and about our day. Very professional, took our IDs for our drinks, and checked back like rounds to make sure we were doing okay or if we had needed anything. 10/10 would recommend asking for her if she's working. read more

Zero -Star Review We visited Hooters in Alcoa, Tn on Seafood Sunday and arrived at 7:00 pm, only to be told they were already out of crab. The restaurant was severely understaffed with just one server handling the entire restaurant and one bartender. There wasn't even a restaurant manager on duty. Service suffered badly as a result. Our waitress was clearly overwhelmed and rushed, so she couldn't properly take our order or answer questions. We waited forever for refills of our drinks so we were parched and no lemonade for our children. They also ran out of basic items: silverware, and other items. The worst part was the cleanliness. The rug by the entrance by the front doors was filthy -- solid black with crud. The dining room floors were just as bad, with black food stuck to the ground. We tried to utilize the online ordering, but after attempting (twice) we ended up having to call our order in. I don't like boneless wings so I ordered the chicken tenders, which they only had in a kid's meal, which wasn't a problem because that would be plenty. Well apparently they didn't have them in the kid's meal as well, so they just substituted the boneless wings instead and didn't bother telling me. In town for business, my colleagues and I decided to go to Hooter's for dinner on Monday evening, 11/27. We arrived at approximately 6:50pm or so for a table of 4. We were greeted and shown to our table. Our server, Madison, came by quickly, introduced herself and asked if she could get us some drinks. One of the drinks ordered was a Strawberry Sweet Tea. When the drinks arrived, the Strawberry Sweet Tea was UNSWEET tea. Another drink ordered, double tall Gin & Tonic with extra lime, was served in a standard SHORT glass and 1 slice of lime. We ordered some starters, received them and ate them. Madison returned to take our orders which she meticulously repeated and wrote down. However, somewhere there was a disconnect on a couple of items. When our food arrived, the food was placed in the wrong location for our table. Madison looked confused, realized that it needed to be swapped and then did so. However, one of the orders (15 wings, 1/2 Cajun and 1/2 General Tsao's) was wrong and included Lemon Pepper wings instead of the General Tsao's. She left the table and returned a few minutes later saying that she messed up realizing her mistake. NOW it gets good... She said that they would be glad to remake them. HOWEVER, her manager said that they would NOT cook the correct wings (that they messed up, remember) unless I DIDN'T eat the Lemon Pepper wings. IF they were eaten, she continues, we would then be charged for another 7 wings. I had NO intention of eating them. HOWEVER, the lack of customer service with that comment is just reprehensible. I advised that I was NOT going to eat them. I asked her to bring another plate to put the wrong wings on. She left the table and got a metal plate for them. With her standing at the table, I QUICKLY took the wrong wings (that MADISON messed up) from my plate and put them on the new plate, setting the plate on the edge of the table. I expected her to take the wings off the table. However, the plate with the WRONG wings on it stayed on our table during our ENTIRE visit. One of the other items ordered was a spicy grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was rubbery and completely inedible. There was 1 bite out of the sandwich with the ENTIRE rest of the sandwich untouched. After the Gin & Tonic was finished, an additional 1/2 Sweet Tea and 1/2 Unsweet Tea was ordered. Madison brought back an unsweetened iced tea with some sweet and low / Stevia packets included. This was finished and she came back to ask about refills. Again, the same 1/2 and 1/2 was ordered. What was brought back was pure unsweet tea. This is freakin' Tennessee. They DEFINITELY have sweet tea. At this point, Madison disappeared from view and did NOT come back to our table for 24 minutes. For our group of 4, our bill was $160. There was NOTHING in this visit that could possibly be worth that much money. In the restaurant on a Monday evening right at prime time for Monday Night Football, there were 6 tables TOTAL and 3 people at the bar. Sitting at the bar near the kitchen was an elderly man with white hair. Hanging all over him was a much YOUNGER girl with a Hooter's shirt on and wearing black legless tights that looked like very short panties. She also had on hose underneath them. The overall vibe with this restaurant was no care for the customer, no customer service at all, poor food quality and no attention-to-detail in any way. I will NEVER be back to this Hooter's and will ensure that everyone that I know is aware of my experience. read more

We drive farther to get to this Hooters instead of the Kingston Pike Hooters bc the service is so much better. Food is always delicious, music is a decent volume (unlike the Kingston Pike blaring so loudly the waitress can't hear your order). I liked this Hooters. They are always nice and friendly. They have lots of TVs and will change the channel to whatever sports you are interested in. As soon as I walked in, the hostess came up and sat me down where I could view the air show from a big plate glass window inside. Which is what I asked for. I had the best waitress ever as she took care of me. She kept my sweet tea full at all times. I could tell she liked her job. menu items ordered: 10 breaded wings in all drums medium sauce style with ranch dressing. I also got some celery with ranch dressing. Everything was delicious as my plates were empty when I left. My waitress even gave me a sweet tea to go and even came over and talked to me for a few minutes before I left. Placed two to-go orders for wings over the last two weeks. Both have been mid-afternoon, for a pick-up around 3p. Both orders placed on their web site about 35min before the appointed pick-up time. Both times I've had to stand and wait almost 20min past the pick-up time for my order to be prepared. And the best part, both times the pizza I picked up next door was nice and cold after the extra wait time. While the wings tasted good both times, they're definitely not the same quality/size I remember from last year. Maybe the chickens caught CV19 and lost some weight... Initially, just walking in you could feel how sticky the floor was. The table was no different, the menus stuck to the table and everyone had to avoid touching the table at all. On Friday 11/29/19, my family and I went to the Hooters in Alcoa, Tn. I ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich which I was actually looking forward too even though Hooters is very Mediocre. Anyway, I took my first bite AND I BITE INTO A SCREW. A LITERAL METAL SCREW. The manager came to speak with me and filled out an incident report but she refused to give me a copy simply saying "we don't do that". Went to watch Monday night football. Game started at 820pm and had my wings which were ok, but not what I ordered at all, I'm easy going so I took them. I was ok at that point, and then they just decided to close at 9pm without warning. One thing I've noticed about this location is it all depends on the day you're there and who the servers are. We frequently go in on Wednesday evenings for the "Wingsday" special where you can get all you can eat wings - boneless or bone in and swap out each time you reorder. My favorites are the smoked wings with Texas Dry Rub while hubby gets boneless, naked wings with Spicy Garlic, 911 or some other sauce choices. We're low carb eaters typically (with an occasional "cheat" in the way of some fried pickles or Lots of Tots) so having the option of naked boneless is perfect for us. One night in particular we decided to treat a group of friends to a wing dinner and ended up with a server by the name of Chloe (Khloe?). That experience was beyond bad. She failed to put in our entire order so our friends were already on their "refill" wings before my husband and I even got our food. We were also shorted an order of fries, but since all the refills came with more we didn't really care too much about that. Drink refills were non-existent... at one point we were forced to take our glasses up to the bar to get something to drink. After being there for HOURS we finally gave up. My husband never got a reorder on his wings so I gave him some of mine. We were all still thirsty when we left. We'd mentioned the problems to Chloe at least once, and she just blamed the kitchen and said she'd put the order in again. Someone else always brought the food to us, not her. Finally my husband went to seek out a manager who agreed to remove the price of his meal. We still paid over $75 for the food we did get, what there was of it, but due to the lack of service received, we left only change for a tip. By the time we'd gotten home, we had a phone call from another friend who was still there after we left. They told us the waitress had been running around telling everyone we'd skipped out on our meal and only left 75 cents. My husband called the restaurant and spoke to the manager Will who confirmed they'd had issues with her that evening. We waited almost a month before going back, but the craving for smoked wings was too strong. We were there a week ago, and got Jen as our server. She was great! She kept our drinks filled and made sure we got reorders in as soon as she dropped off our food so we "didn't have to go without food." When there was a mix-up on one and hubby got breaded wings instead of naked, she went right back and ordered more without passing the blame or saying anything bad. I hope we get her next time we go back. My suggestion if you get a bad server is to ask to be moved or speak to the manager about getting someone else because a good server makes all the difference. I don't know if Chloe still works there or not, but if she does I hope she's taking her job more seriously now and not talking bad about customers with other people around. read more

We stopped in the area for the night on our bike trip. We have been to many many Hooters on our trips and it has become a staple stop to get the Oysters (When available) and shrimp. The place was packed and the staff was overwhelmed. We came at the busiest time. There was no hostess and apparently no manager on duty. One of the waitresses finally acknowledged us and looked for a table. One of the other waitresses begrudgingly decided to take us. She had a big party that was just about done but did ask for more drinks before they left so that kept her busy. She finally made it to our table and apologized. She took out drink order and appetizer order. We waited at least 15 minutes and the chips and queso came out before our drinks. We again had to ask for our drinks and some water. The chips were still full of grease and were not fully cooked. The queso dip looked like the put a small amount of yellow food coloring in water. It looked unedible. We sent that back and again asked for our drinks. I understand that once the waitress puts in the drink order it is up to the bartender to make the drinks but she knew we were wondering what the problem was and as she walked by she would put her down to avoid us calling her over again. We also had to ask for napkins and utensils after the appetizer was brought out and the server walked away. They were out of Oysters, but that is fairly standard at most of the Hooters if you do not get there the day they are delivered. The drinks finally came out and the replacement chips were much better. The shrimp came out next and it was immediately apparent that they were overcooked and dried out. I tried one and it tasted like cardboard. We returned the shrimp and just ordered some wings. The wings were very good. I got the smoked ones which I really like. The chef did come out and apologize and admitted they were not ready for the day's business. He comped the appetizer and did not charge us for the shrimp. I do appreciate that he took ownership of the fact the service and food quality was terrible. Not sure if I would go back to this location as this was by far the worst experience I have every had at a Hooters. read more

Slow service for a guy out solo to watch a game. I had a birthday coupon and there was a game on so I thought I would go hangout and find some other fans to hang out with. Food was good as would be expected but took a long while to be made. The waitress was not interested in serving a guy with a coupon (birthday or not), so very low points on the service spectrum. I guess she figured I wouldn't tip well if I wasn't spending a lot. I got more attention from the other guys waitress that was sitting across the aisle from me. Also only got one soda refill the whole time I was there. I will probably not go back to this one but give the one in knoxville a try next time. Well, I went back to the Alcoa location last night for Veterans day, and it was a much better experience. Jil was our waitress and she was very attentive and the food was just as we ordered it. This place is falling apart. Chairs are loose and wobbly. The booths seats are torn And table tops have people initials scratched into them. The wood floors is so marred up you can barely tell it's Wood. The floor to the bathrooma has been coming apart for the last 3 years from water damage. Service was good so was food. I have been coming to this place since it opened. Had a miserable experience last night. We normally go to Buffalo Wild Wings for Monday Night football but decided to switch and try Hooters. Everything was going good when at 8:45 the waitress asked if there was anything else we needed because they close at 9:00? One of the guys jomingly said are you running us off before halftime? She laughed and said no, you guys can finish up because I still have some cleaning and stuff to do. Very professional! We noticed all the chairs at almost all the tables were already put up..and as said this is at 8:45 when they supposedly close at 9:00 due to short staffing!?!? I would think if you were short staffed that you wouldnt have the whole restaurant cleaned and ready for the next day 15 mins before closing time?? Anyway, right at 9:00pm with 1:57 to go in the game before halftime another girl(acting manager) came through and turned off all the tv's. We said can we not watch the last two minutes of the game while finishing up? As she was walking away, she said "no, sorry its closing time". She didnt even stop to talk to us. Very unprofessional of a "manager". If this is how you treat your customers, especially your regulars, it is obvious why so many people are going across the street to BuffaloWild Wings! There are a lot of great servers working there and Miranda was very professional. We had two servers apologize to is as we were leaving for how we were treated. We had a group of 15 we ordered our food all together and when the food started to come out one person maybe got fries then a few got wings and then a few appetizers came out, then nothing for about 30 min. We never seen our waitress again till we found a live spider in one of the order of fries and a long hair in another order of fries so one of the food carriers said oops sorry let me get those and carried them off. Then ask to speak to manager he comes our rolls his eyes and said well in case I didn't notice I was busy on my phone and our system is down i said what's that got to do with hair in the food and a crawling spider in food he said oh nothing but I'm busy and we can't find your tickets. I said are u the manager he replies yes the general manager. And walks off then tell his employees deal with it and leaves the restaurant. So no one said sorry for the spider in the food or the hair and we had to leave cause our food order got thrown away. What a sad decline this place has gone through. Poor service and even poorer management from top to bottom. The absolute worst Hooters in the entire chain. And we all know what the weakest link does for a chain. I used to come in here with my construction crew a couple of years ago a couple timesa week. Now we go to TWIN PEAKS! It is rare I ever rate a place low, that could be because I usually go to the higher rates places in an area however, I got excited about the smokey wings they have been advertising. The bad: first was the service I received. I got my wings to go and the girl at the bar must have been having a bad day or week because she was all out anti-social and rude. I did not expect her to have a conversation with me but at least tell me how much change I got back and to have a nice day. I don't think it is all that much to ask. After all it is a job that involves communicating. When I sat down she asked if she could help, I told her I had a to go order she got my name and told me how much. That was all she said. She took my money dropped the change off and turned around without a word said. That itself is enough for me to never go back to that location. Then to the food, the wings flavor really disappointed. I don't blame the location for it, so I didn't consider it in as a part of the rating. It tasted like homemade wings with some seasoning from the grocery store. For that kind of flavour 20+ dollars for 15 wings and a side of fries was a little much but I had to try the new flavor cause I love wings. Now to the only good I have with this experience, this was the cooks. They nailed it. The wings were nearly cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy with no pink on it. Food is usually pretty solid but the service is such a crap shoot. There's some awesome servers but most of the girls just walk around complaining the whole time. Usually it's them complaining about other customers, rules or trying to make their "struggling" personal lives widely known to everyone. I went on Monday evening, 15 September 2014 just before Monday night football. I was very disappointed. I travel a lot and eat by myself more often than not. I come here, not because the food is exceptional, though I enjoy it, but because the people are usually engaging. I was there for two hours, and other than my waitress, Ashley, asking me what I wanted or whether I wanted anything else periodically, I had no one else engage me and there were 7 waitresses there initially. The manager did not even come by, because he was too busy playing "Golden Tee" with some of the patrons. I should have taken a clue of how this store is run by how empty it was on a Monday Night Football night, because every other Hooters I have been to in probably 15 different states over the last 12 years on a Monday night during football season is packed and you are lucky to get a seat. Here 26 of 33 tables and 9 of 12 bar stools were empty. I hope you have a better experience at this location, but I will not be returning to this particular store. read more
