We went in for lunch. We were sat and there we waited.. took quite a while for waitress to come to our table.. so much so she took our order for drinks and food. Not many people in the restaurant. The waitress was not friendly and barely spoke to us. drinks came out and that was the last we saw of her until after our food , food was served by other employees, I finally got my refill when she gave us our bill. Nice spicy meal so Ii ate ice for a drink. Food was Applebees so it's as expected. Cooked perfectly.. just nothing to write home about. The new special was good. Hope it stays read more

The food was delicious! The price for the kids meals is amazing. The portions are generous. Everything was excellent. The service was awesome. The manager, especially was extremely kind and went out of her way to serve us. The place was clean and inviting with plenty of room. GREAT Applebees read more

This is your typical Applebees! It's extremely similar to other locations I've been to! The food and drink quality was what I've come to expect from Applebees! The service was prompt and friendly! The restaurant was clean and well kept! This place is a great value overall!! read more

I ordered delivery through Grubhub and my drink was left out and the condiments we ordered were left out.

We sat for a good 7-10 minutes at the bar and there was no bartender to be found. We finally got our drinks and ordered an appetizer. When our spinach artichoke dip was served more than half the chips where too small to even use in the dip. I assume we got the remnants of an empty bag. We were ignored for much of the visit as the "regulars" were well card for. We had to wait for the bartender to finish socializing with others to close out our tab. I was cut short on my order and didn't get everything I ordered. I tried calling the restaurant and when they answered I was put on hold for 25 minutes and still going. The food quality was upsetting as me, my brother, and my mom all had well done streaks when we asked for medium rare. read more

This location says it closed at 11. However, I showed up a little after 10, and a very rude blonde woman (who I took to be the manager even though she was sitting at the bar drinking with her friends) told me that I could "maybe order some drinks" but "the kitchen was closed!" When I asked why that would be given that it's supposed to be open to 11, she said "some nights we just like to get out of here a bit earlier". read more

I understand there is a shortage of good workers and orders do get messed up but this is the worst curb side take out I've had. I don't usually eat at Applebee's in Alcoa. This was the first order at this location in probably a year or two. Got home to find my fries for my burger missing. Called manger explained I couldn't come back for the fries but wanted her to be aware. She was nice and apologized, no harm it happens, and starting eating. Cheese burger was supposed to be well done and the steak was supposed to be medium well. Got the reverse. Everything including the chicken wings tasted like it had too much salt. Disappointed. read more

Nice clean facility. Typical Applebee's menu. Service and food was good. Very pleased.

On the 28th, my family and I came into Applebees for dinner later in the evening. First, it took forever for a server to actually greet us. Then after ordering our food, they messed up a club sandwich 3 times before actually getting the order correct. On top of all that, I ordered a chicken sandwich. Which was actually really good at the time. However, it's been two days now and I have been dealing with food poisoning. I was in town to meet my new bosses and find a place to live for relocation. Thanks to AppleBees, none of that was possible. Do not recommend this place unless you'd like to see the toilet bowl your whole trip in town. read more

We ordered take out and parked in the right spot. But food never was brought out. We finally went in to see about food . We were told to go in back they asked our name never offered explanation why they didn't deliver. Food was cold!! Do they bring car-side orders out or was it our bad? read more

Garbage restaurant, garbage service, and garbage good. We walk in. Party of 4. Are seated and place a drink order. We get our drinks and finally get to order apps and food. As we ask for the next round we are told after about 15 mins that they already called last call. They did not call it out loud and our server did not tell us before. She also didn't ask about any water refills or ask if we wanted any condiments. It was either her first day or Applebee's needs to step it up because it's clear our server down snt give a fuck about us. I will never eat here again, and I will tell everyone. I never ever complain. This is just straight up garbage. 10/10 don't waste you time. Much better Mexican food next door. Also the carrot salad. WTF? I ordered the oriental salad. read more

Our flight landed at TYS at 9 pm and we were looking for a nearby place to grab dinner and Applebee's fit the bill. The staff were welcoming and checked in on us throughout our meal. Our burgers came out quickly and were a little more well done than we prefer, but were good nonetheless. For a late night food option after a long travel day, this met all our expectations. read more

If you can go to the other Applebee's in the area I would advise you to make the effort. The level of service at this place is lacking to say the least. Called to place my order for carryout. They did not have two of the menu items requested, stating simply that, "they were out. " Asked if it was because I might be ordering too late in the evening. (8 pm) Nope. They were "just out." So tried to keep it simple. Was told my salad order would take 10, 15 , 20 minutes. I replied back," Which is it? You are giving me 3 options." Then she yells back to the kitchen on the phone to find out that it was in fact Option A: 10 minutes. Got to the restaurant to find that the kitchen staff took the liberty to create a new menu item and mix all my sides orders into one salad. Thanks, but no thanks. Pass on this one as there are other choices out there and you'll be happy you did. read more

It seems that not just this Applebees, but many just need to close! None have enough servers/workers. We (Seniors) were actually told we'd have to wait out in the rain...no cover, until a table was ready even though there were no people waiting inside..anywhere! Needless to say...we left! read more

I have never complained about any business before but the dirt and filth that I found at this restaurant were unbelievable. When I visited a friend that worked at this restaurant, the kitchen was filthy, the water in the dishwasher had not been emptied from the day before and I was told this was not unusual. They were serving lunch and the dispenser that provides soap for the dishwasher was empty. The water temp was warm at best in the dishwasher. I have uploaded pics of the grease, dirt, and mold on the walls surrounding the dishwasher. Public safety should be more important than this. read more

I cannot stress to you enough. DO NOT EAT HERE!! Horrible service. Horrible food. They were not that busy but it took 10 minutes to bring 4 of us water and tea. After that we ordered 2 apps and our meals. It took 20 minutes to bring our apps and 5 minutes after that we got our meals. Our app was ok but our food was cold. All we ordered was chicken tenders and some pasta. First of all, why it takes 30 minutes to deliver is beyond me. Second, it was obviously ready and sitting in a window somewhere getting cold. Third, we had our pasta recooked and a manager never came by to apologize or anything. The server was rude and kept walking away before I was finished talking to her and she constantly rolled her eyes. Not just with us but at other tables around us. It's been a long time since I have not left a tip. I made sure she knew I gave her a big fat $0.00. I had a bad experience last year at this location and thought I'd give them another try. BIG mistake. I will NOT be returning to this location even if I was paid to eat there. I wouldn't pee on this place if it was on fire. Also, look at some of the pictures of this place on here. This place is nasty. read more

My mom really likes the green bean crispas. That is the only reason I would give them 2 stars. Our dinner was ruined when my husband and I we're served and my mother waited. The waitress didn't bring the food, a runner did so they didn't know where the last meal was. When the waitress finally came by, she blamed the kitchen and then rushed over to the computer terminal. We waited... . . . . I asked another employee if he could find out what the problem was. We never saw the original waitress again. My husband had to begin eating, he had ordered the pasta. I had a pork chop and sweet potato casserole. I had to pour off all the greasy butter. Won't go back. read more

Sorry but nope. Went back on a Thursday night and boy was that a mistake. Apparently they have karaoke on Thursday nights. This would be ok if it wasn't so LOUD!! Our server was a waste. He sat behind us chatting it up with some other guys while we sat there trying to get his attention for well over 15 minutes. When he finally came over to our table he was so fast that he didn't even get my drink order. When the food was finally brought out he brought my "drink" with it which was incorrect due to him not asking. I ordered a burger which had nothing but cheese on it. It should have came out with a whole lot more like BBQ sauce for one since I ordered the Cowboy. Then when we wanted to pay, the server insisted for us to use the table top unit. This was fine but DONT MAKE A PERSON FEEL STUPID with the arragent jokes and flirty joking to my daughter that sitting next to me. Seriously doubt we will be back to this location. read more

I have to say there is other restaurants around town that is so much better then this Applebee's to eat at. The service here is the worst, the food is is junk, the bathrooms are always filthy, I honestly don't know why anyone goes here, other than they have a bar. Do yourself a favor, go up the road to Ruby Tuesday's, there you will find good food, service and it is always clean. Or go the opposite direction to Ryan's, either way you would do better than Applebee's. read more

My Girlfriend and I dined here around 5pm on a Tuesday while we waited for a vehicle loan to go through. We were greeted at the door by a very nice older woman and then quickly taken care of by our Waitress. Good food and good service. I had the BBQ Brisket Tacos. They were served with cole slaw and fries. Awesome! Our waitress was very pleasant.

Meh. Good for late night eats, but the food isn't what it used to be. The service is slow and things are just barely good enough. The only thing I like about this place is they are close to the airport and if I arrive on a late flight and want to eat they will be open. read more

Arrived here from Texas late in the evening to grab dinner. Seated immediately. Waitress was courteous. I had the chicken and ribs platter. Rids was surprisingly very good. Tender and juicy. Was so excited about the "new" menu, boy that was quick lived. Ordered the so called honey pepper mack and uhhh...what cheese. Typical Applebee's. The burger was good. The beer selection was terrible. The only reason I gave 3* was due to the waiter. He was excellent.

The food is good and drinks are good. Just avoid the steaks. The steaks are not good at all.

Welllllll let's see.... it's a Saturday at 8:30 and the place is 3/4 empty. We just dropped in for a dessert and a drink, but should have realized what a comically bad idea it was. Our server was clueless.... like bad clueless... she had no idea what was on the drink menu and said that she had never had someone order the "bourbon and berries" before (which was a "signature cocktail" on the menu). My wife ordered a mudslide which is an ice cream based drink but came out like milk chocolate and the drink I ordered came out in a half filled beer glass (picture for reference). We ordered a blinder and a chocolate meltdown cake. The chocolate cake was decent but the blonde was cold in the middle with ice cold sauce even though the menu depicted it on a hot skillet with warm sauce etc etc. The point is .... this place is rough. Bad service and bad food. Try to avoid it unless you are traveling and have a very very limited choice. read more

Had a late evening meal at this location after a days travel from MD. It was located close to our hotel and it seemed ideal. Ignoring previous reviews, there was 4 of us to take a chance. We were seated immediately and served our drinks and appetizers as fast as expected. The waitress was good and interacting. I ordered the Salsa Verde Beef Nachos and the Bourbon street chicken and shrimp. With a average wait time our food was delivered as ordered and was cooked perfectly. The others I dined with had a great experience too. We almost returned but with so many options in the area, we had to get out and try other places. read more

We just ate here and waited for over 15 minutes after being seated till a manager walked by and asked if a server has been with us and we said no so he took our order. Since we were there so long we ordered drinks appetizer and our meal. I've been enjoying Applebee's half price appetizers for many years. This evening walked in to Applebee's here in Knoxville ready to enjoy my favorite boneless wings. So I sit at the Bar and and proceed to order and the Bartender says we aren't serving half price appetizers yet so I look at my watch and its still a few minutes before nine. So i tell her ill just wait She give me this look like really thats what you came here for "What would you like to drink?"she asks. I tell her I just start off with some water. I'm an Airline pilot and its against The FAA regulations to have anything to drink within a certain period before my next flight. She proceeds to tell me that Well to get that special you have to buy a drink. Her entire attitude was pretentious are unprofessional. read more

This was my second or third time to this Applebee's. We hadn't been back in over a year until now. I was not impressed in the least and had a bad experience last time with service amongst everything else. This time was so different from the moment we pulled up. We saw a couple of reserved parking and I figured it was take-out parking or something. It said, "US Veterans Reserved Parking" WOW.... that is great! The manager greeted us at the front and seated us. He was friendly and it was a great welcome. The server took a bit longer than expected to get to the table, however, she was friendly and upbeat. We ordered appetizers and an entree and one of the appetizers didn't taste right. They took care of it and gave me a new one immediately. They didn't ask what I wanted, but made suggestions and made it right immediately. Her pleasant personality and quick to fill our drinks often topped the great service and food all around. The only suggestion would be to turn down the music some. I don't know if it is a new manager, but definitely changes have been made for the good. I'll go back if I'm in the area again. read more
