Packed house.
Richard S.

The service was excellent and Richey had my order taken and out to me in under 7 minutes. The food is always excellent at Waffle House, although I will say that on this occasion my toast was burnt. It is easy to see that toast is burnt and had they not been filled to capacity they probably would have caught this. If a toaster overcooks, that is not the customer's fault, and they should not have to make a scene and send it back. This is not typical of Waffle House so I kept their rating at 5 stars because they are a great restaurant. They were slammed and the meal was under $10 so it was not a problem.

Stopped by Waffle House grab a little breakfast the other day. The staff was very friendly it was on a Sunday so it was packed in there but staff seem to get everyone seated in and everything moving in a quick manner. Sausage hash brown bowl- Love getting a hash brown bowl from there everything was cooked perfectly course you have to mix in a little hot sauce with it and it was great. Waffle- Love getting waffle there cooked awesomely couldn't ask for a better waffle anywhere. Overall great experience at this waffle House location the staff was very friendly and they got everything out to a squick.

So can someone explain to me why not a single worker in this Waffle House is wearing a mask? There is a state order that restaurant workers MUST wear masks. If there were any other place open I'd leave. I'm a night shifter and meeting my dad for Father's Day, who is 61 years old. Why no masks?!?

It's Waffle House. Road trip sustenance. It's an experience, not necessarily a dining one but an experience. If you've been here you get exactly what you expect. If you haven't, it should be on your bucket list. Quick and easy, in and out kind of breakfast. Perfect for those traveling along the interstate. Nothing even remotely fancy just something to keep you going.

Yes, I'm a waffle house girl. Sadly though, this location is close to me however I would rather drive to eat at the one on Papermill Drive. This one never seems to be as clean. They are usually busy and with that said extremely slow at turning tables over. I have had my order messed up at this location practically every time I have been here. With that said, Dine at your own risk. I'm not saying I don't eat here or won't be back but I usually don't have the best experience when I am at this particular Waffle House. Hope this helps! Cheers & Enjoy!

I ordered one of the hash brown bowls, which I think is a cool addition to the menu.

Not a big breakfast fan but I had to find a casual place to meet someone for brunch. Maple Street…read morewas a good choice. I ordered The Farmer, a chicken biscuit with cheese, bacon, and apple butter. The biscuit was warm and fresh, the bacon was crispy, and the chicken patty was quite substantial. The poor thing was drowning in apple butter though, which made it too wet (and too sweet). Even scraping some of it off it was already too soggy. A tad less sauce and it would be perfectly balanced. The smashbrowns had a nice crisp and I enjoyed the kick of the pepper jam. Also, big fan of the cute coffee bar. I could taste the hints of maple in the coffee. If I have to eat out for breakfast, Maple Street seems to be a good choice. And yes, this location is on Kingston Pike not Maple Street.

You order at the counter, grab a number, and find your own table, though most weren't clean when we arrived. We had the chicken and goat cheese biscuit, farmer biscuit, cappuccino, and toffee crunch latte. Drinks came out fairly quickly, but the food took about 30 to 40 minutes. Staff was sweet, just seemed overwhelmed. The food itself was good. The goat cheese and pepper jelly were a great combo, and I personally loved the apple butter, though my partner thought there was too much. Overall, good food if you have time to wait.

Finally made time to check out Potchke bagel and it was outstanding!…read more Came in at the top of the lunch hour, and while there appeared to be a serious line forming inside, the staff moved everyone through quickly and was very helpful with some suggestions for a first time guest. I opted for the steak sandwich on an everything bagel and it was delicious! My father was also very impressed with the pastrami Ruben on pumpernickel. I also highly recommend grabbing some custom bagel spread from the cooler and a portion of your favorite babka (I vote for chocolate) to take home!

Potchke went to a bagel competition in NYC and won best bagel outside the boroughs, and there's a…read morereason. We are so lucky to have them! The bagels are light and chewy, not bready, and even the plain bagel has a great flavor. We find the celery salt and sometimes the everything bagels to be saltier than we enjoy, but your mileage may vary. The sesame, plain, jalapeño cheddar, pumpernickel, and honey wheat are awesome. The seasonal pumpkin bagel was excellent, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get blueberry once they're in season. If you get a bagel sandwich, I'd recommend sticking with a plain bagel to let the filling shine. We usually get the Potchke delight (add avocado, it's worth it), and my husband loves the beef bacon. They have upgraded from egg patties to small folded omelettes in their breakfast sandwiches. They just rolled out mobile ordering at this location, and I did my first order today. Fridays are always very busy there, but my order was ready way before the time estimate, and they made my coffee fresh once I checked in with the lady at the pickup area. I was very impressed! They have been really good about making changes to improve wait times (like adding a second person taking orders with a handheld card reader and expanding next door to allow a designated line area), and mobile ordering is a game changer for me. The employees are always wonderful even though they are super busy and dealing with a lot of people. Everyone seems happy to be there, and I hope that's a reflection of the owners treating their people well. Yes, the prices may seem high for bagels, but in my opinion it's totally worth it. I'd rather have a stellar bagel once a month than grocery store bagels every week. (Now if only they would also serve their matzo ball soup and borscht at this location, my life would be complete!)

Well, this was a fun surprise!…read more We were looking for a cool brunch place that we'd never tried before, and although it was outside of town, it was totally worth the Uber. It's ADORABLE. Love the decor and the pretty and interesting atmosphere. Lots of cute little things in this spot. Everything was delicious and the portions were impressive. I was really surprised by this one and highly recommend anyone coming here for a good bite. Right when we walked in, we were asked if we had a reservation. It was our first time, so we didn't realize one was needed. When I said no and asked if we should have had one, the host responded, "Oh, that would have helped." That alone felt a little off-putting. We even offered to come back another time, but she said they had a table available--just that it was reserved for 1:00 PM (it was 11:55). We asked if that meant we'd need to leave by then, and while they tried to reassure us, it definitely set the tone for a rushed experience. We had barely sat down when the waitress immediately asked if we were ready to order. Caught off guard, we asked for water and coffee first. As soon as those arrived, we quickly ordered beignets, chicken and waffles, and biscuits and gravy--trying to be mindful of their time constraint. Unfortunately, our food took over 35 minutes to come out... which didn't align at all with the expectation that we'd be out before 1:00. When it finally arrived, the food was underwhelming at best. The chicken was okay, but the waffles and biscuits and gravy were cold. And the service? Just as cold. Overall, the experience felt rushed, unwelcoming, and disappointing from start to finish. Needless to say, we won't be returning. I truly hope they reconsider how they treat guests--especially first-time visitors who come in excited to try their restaurant.

We're not expecting ultra-authentic Mexican food everywhere, but if you can't even get close, maybe don't put tacos on the menu because this felt genuinely insulting. We ordered the "small" taco board that we were told would feed 2-3 people, and it came with bland shredded chicken that tasted boiled, plus carrots, sugar snap peas, mushrooms, and corn scattered across the board like stir-fry vegetables. It also included the smallest portion of steak with chimichurri (Argentinian not Mexican), bland green salsa, terrible store-bought tasting red salsa, and "homemade" tortillas. There was almost no seasoning or flavor in any of it. The photo attached is just the chicken portion of the board because honestly the rest wasn't even worth photographing. The $15 guacamole was also extremely underwhelming for the price -- tiny portion of chips, one tiny lime wedge, and we were brought salt so we could finish seasoning it ourselves. Service was okay, but overall spending around $75 for two beers, guacamole, and food we barely wanted to finish was frustrating. Sadly, the ambiance and decor were the best part of the experience. Safe to say we will not be coming back.
